Looking down at himself Snow was now fully aware of his nakedness, a slight blush played on his face.
“I need to find some clothes”.
With his vision now perfectly clear in the darkness, he looked around the ruined cathedral.
Noting a wooden door hanging off its hinges. He decided it was the best place to start. To his luck the room was a meeting office, most likely for members of the church.
Snow's eyes brightened at the sight of a closet to the left of him.
Rushing in, his face fell at the sight of one pair of black pants… sighing, he took them and put them on. Feeling slightly less exposed.
He began to walk back out of the room,
and the moment he stepped out, a silver blade the length of his arm stopped him at the base of his neck. Fear and panic struck his heart.
Moving only with pure instinct he jumped back from the doorway, splintering wood under his feet as he jumped and landed. The sword chased him, moving of its own volition at a speed Snow could barely perceive.
Before he could even react, It sliced his right shoulder, spun and sliced his lower calf.
Dropping him to his knee and rendering him unable to run. The sword hung above his head like a guillotine.
Struck by pain and shock, Snow didn't move a muscle…
Soon the voice of an elderly woman rang clearly in the darkness.
“‘State your name and how exactly you're here… and alive young awakened.”
Snow hesitated, surprised at the elderly voice speaking to him.
“Speak boy or I shall remove your head.”
“I'm… I'm Sno- Snowfall. Snowfall is my name, no sir name”
and…
“I got here from the water… I don’t know how I’m alive…”
A few moments of silence hung between him and the woman before she spoke.
“I see.. and I can assume you used the shard left here then boy?…”
“yes.”
“I see then, stand boy.” Before Snow could stand, a green light enveloped him and relief spread through his being, as he was healed by the light.
Standing, Snow finally caught sight of his attacker. It was a woman dressed in a dark robe with a black veil covering her whole face.
The silver sword hovered next to her, still aimed at him. Seeing the sword he instantly knew, it was a swept hilt rapier. One made with a metal he’d never seen before.
He couldn't see her eyes, but he could feel her studying him.
Still fearful of the woman, Snow opened his mouth to speak but was cut off.
“I am the lady priestess of the sun sky.”
The lady priestess of the night sky seems to have been killed or captured.”
“You seem to be the only being left in the city under the night sky. I shall take you with me back to the sun sky and have you questioned further about the events that took place here.”
“Do you have an objections' child…” Snow was dumbfounded. Your… your from the other side… realizing who exactly this woman was he dropped to one knee
And shook his head no.
This woman was a priestess and the one from the other side at that. The priests were the rulers and protectors of every race, of all of civilization. And there were only ever two of them in existence for every 1,000 years or so he thought.
‘Good then, follow me child”.
She said as she turned away and began tracking to the doors of the cathedral. Snow wasted no time in following her. He was utterly shocked at the fact he had spoken to a real priest.
But his yearn to leave this god forsaken place trumped even that…
Stepping out of the doors of the cathedral. Meeting with the cold air and sounds of the crashing waves Snow was met with yet another surprise.
A black oval-shaped sphere the size of a small building hovered 30 meters in front of him.
