Chapter 8

Johnathan packed up his comics, clothes, and his books. Smiling as he did. Albert did the same, when they were almost done someone knocked on their door.

“I’ll get it, I think I know who it is.” Albert said.

He opened the door and in came Naamah, “What happened? Did you guys get in trouble? Rock Warriors came in and told me to leave, and I wasn’t going to go against them. So what happened!” After the Master Knight had given them their next assignment for next year, they didn’t really tell anyone. Naamah they could trust though.

“Well,” Johnathan began, “We have been given a new assignment for next year.” He said smiling.

“The Master Knight needed more help in the council, so he made us part of making the Hero Hall!” Albert said.

Johnathan shook his head, “No he made us librarians, we go out and find people who belong in hero hall. We’re librarian Rangers you could say.”

Naamah nodded, “Is this just an assignment for the year, or are you actually going to have jobs?”

Albert shrugged, “The Master Knight said that we would stay for as long as the council needed, and that most of our classes would be taken off for the Hero Hall.”

“Hooray!” Johnathan said, “Don’t get me wrong I like the classes and all, but less work is the best!”

Naamah nodded, “Alright, then I guess it’s time to go.” She turned around, stopped, came to Albert and kissed him on the cheek. “See you next year!” She skipped out of the room.

Albert lost his ability to think, “Ya, see you then.”

Johnathan just laughed and laughed.

Johnathan eventually got Albert to move and they both got ready to go home, they went to the door to the human realm.

“Kissing you right at the end of the year,” Johnathan mocked, “She’s smart.”

Albert nodded, “Ya, smart in making me unable to think of anything but her for the summer smart!”

Johnathan laughed, “Yep, I can’t wait to see you when studying.” Then Johnathan remembered, “After Summer School.”

They came to the door, and went through. They started going through the line that they needed to go through to say they were in a certain dimension, Albert went ahead on Johnathan.

“Well well well.” Said Ms. Gorgan, “If it isn’t the little illusionist himself!” Albert didn’t respond, “Hey kid what’s wrong with ya?”

Johnathan looked over Albert to Ms. Gorgan, “He just got kissed by the girl he likes right at the end of the year.”

Ms. Gorgan made a tsk tsk sound, “That’s how they get ya kid, Albert Ducan fell for a girl.” She shook her head and checked him off as back to earth, then Johnathan came up. “Hey kiddo. How was your second year? I heard you almost got killed.”

Johnathan nodded, “Yep, almost got killed.”

“Are you coming back?” She asked.

Johnathan smiled, “It’s not like I’ll let you have a day without me here.” He said.

Ms. Gorgan smiled, “You're growing on me kid, stop it.” She checked off on his papers, “Next!” She smiled, “See you later kiddo.”

Johnathan smiled back, and walked out of the room. “Alright, let’s get through another summer.”
