Chapter 6

Johnathan walked back and forth in his room, waiting for Albert to come back into the room. He kept thinking over the words in the prophecy, A friend will smile at your face, then snarl at your back? What did that mean?

Albert came into the room, with Naamah. His hand looked a lot better. “Hey, how was the meeting?" Asked Albert. He sounded happy, but sad at the same time.

Johnathan frowned, “Would either of you two try to kill me?”

Albert and Naamah stared at him, “Would we kill you!?” Naamah said.

“Why would we do that?” Asked Albert.

Johnathan started explaining what was told by the Oracle. “A friend will smile in your face, then snarl at your back. A friend is going to act nice then think I’m some kinda disgrace, and kill me.”

Albert nodded, and wrote down all the prophecy lines. “So this?”

Johnathan looked over it. Word for word it was the prophecy, “This is the entire prophecy.” He looked at the line, Your friend will divide you all, then quickly looked away. “So what are our ideas?”

Naamah shuffled her feet, “Well, if you're going to fight to spy, maybe you should take a break? We all are tired, maybe just resting for a bit?”

Albert looked awkwardly at Naamah, “How would that help? I’m pretty sure he should be studying more into his reality magic.”

“Well, he can’t do reality magic without rest.” Naamah argued.

“But he needs to be as ready as possible.” Albert said back.

Naamah gasped, “Is that why? He needs to be ready to fight one of his friends.” She gestured to either one of them, “Aka, us.”

Johnathan shook his head, “Guys, I’ll be fine. I don’t think it’s either of you. I think it’s Sebastian.”

Albert looked at him, “Since when were you friends with Sebastian?”

Johnathan shrugged, “We’re in time class together, and we partner up with each other. I honestly think it’s him.”

Albert started nodding, “Ya, that makes sense. It has to be.”

Naamah nodded, “I agree, Sebastian has been at every corner and road.” She got up, “I got to go, but if you think of anything else tell me.”

Johnathan nodded, “Got it, see ya later.” Johnathan went to his side of the room and opened a comic as Naamah was leaving. 

When she did, Albert jumped out of his seated position, “Alright, you know it’s not me right?”

Johnathan put down his comic and shook his head, “You would’ve killed me but now.”

Albert nodded, “So is it Sebastian? Or…” Albert turned to the door.

Johnathan shook his head, “No way, how could it be Naamah?”

Albert walked around the room, “Well, she did live under the influence of the important’s in her dimension. As long as I knew her she also loved having things her way, but also loose.”

“You're talking about control, aren’t you?” Johnathan said.

Albert cringed, “Ya.”

Johnathan nodded, then he felt a strange feeling in his gut. A feeling of magic, “I have a new spell.” He said, almost instantly.

Albert laughed, “How many?”

Johnathan shrugged, “Don’t know, I just feel this one now. I think you’ll recognize this one.” He waved his hand and the whole side of their room expanded.

Albert nodded, “Ya, I think I know that one.” Then he smiled, “Come on, let’s try figuring this out.”

For the entire day Albert made both of them work on the prophecy and whatever was going to happen in their new space. Johnathan focused on trying to figure out new spells, and controlling them. Johnathan learned a new reality spell called copy, when Albert made a light spell Johnathan would try to copy it but with the copy spell instead. Johnathan kept going to the library and taking out multiple books on forbidden magics, and even some on time and space magic. He decided if he needed all the magic he could get, then he was going to use all his power to figure it out. He honestly couldn’t wait to try this all out.

Johnathan woke up in a dark room, totally black. He looked to his right to see a figure he recognized.

“Well if it isn’t the spy themselves.” Johnathan said, looking at the dark figure.

“Your fate is sealed Reality. You shall die in two days, where we first met. Prepare for a brutal and painful death.” They said,

Johnathan nodded, “Well you won’t get the chance, because my friends are going to help me. They would give anything to help me.”

The Spy laughed, “Did it ever occur to you, that maybe your friends aren’t as loyal as you thought? Us controllers love doing the same thing. We smile in your face, then snarl at your back. Nice knowing you Johnathan.”

Johnathan woke, startled from the experience. Albert was at his side shaking him, “Hey, are you ok? What did you see?”

Johnathan smiled, “I think we have our spy.” He turned to Albert, “I’m sorry, but you have to ask Naamah to the dance.”

Albert nodded, “That's a weird thing to say, but I get it.”

They fist bumped each other and hoped for the best, the final fight was coming.
