After the sea gets calm again, Symone is still in the hold, trying to help the pirate he helped fill holes with planks. Right before, this pirate has been projected by the megalodon and is now stuck under some heavy barrels, planks and other trinkets. The all wet elf is panicking and starts to rush to the pile of trinkets, trying to take all of it away.

After a few seconds of cleaning, he finally sees the pirate's body, which is covered with scars and blood. The water in the hold is now mixed with blood, Symone releases that this pirate passed away, crushed under the heavy wooden things, right after being projected by the huge shark. It's the first time for Symone to see a dead person with his own eyes and really closely. He doesn't stay neutral in front of this scene, he is shocked.

Outside of the hold, some of the pirates are around the unconscious demon. While Amber is looking at the sea, in hope to see that mysterious merman, he does that since he saw a bit of this person when bringing back Vek.

The rest of the pirates of this galleon are either dead or trying to get back the megalodon to eat it but because of Vek's venom, they quickly notice that the shark isn't edible anymore so they'll run out of food pretty fast. A pirate stares at the unconscious Vek, not knowing what to do and asks clumsily :

-"Uh, what should we do ? Is there a doctor here maybe ?"

All the pirates around are shaking their heads negatively as their only response. The demon is just laying down on the wooden floor, unconscious and not breathing anymore or only really weakly. Everyone around Vek's body thinks it is already too late, they are used to having deceased people on board. After a few minutes simply looking at the one on the floor, they all agree to throw the body in the sea.

But right before doing this, Amber turns around and stops the pirates, thinking he can do something about this almost dead crew member. So he starts to inspect the demon, checking if there's any life sign left in the demon's body, by doing this Amber notices that Vek's heart is still weakly beating. By the way, as already said before, demons can't die that easily.

-"I can feel his heartbeat ! He is still alive ! Why would you throw someone alive overboard ?" Exclaims Amber, angrily looking at the other pirate.

Symone, still in the hold, is moving away all the furniture to get the corpse of the other pirate out of this place so it does not rot. After a few minutes lifting barrels, he finally gets access to this body. At first he doesn't really dare to touch it but he ends up taking it, with a really disgusted facial expression. So he gets out with it and as he gets outside he sees everyone around Vek's body with Amber shaking him in order to wake him up.

By chance, the demon wakes up by spitting out all the water he got in his lungs at this exact moment and under Amber's advice they are both, Vek and Amber, staying in the boat until they're getting back to Golden Hook. The demon has to rest, he doesn't have strength anymore to continue the adventure for the moment. Amber will stay as well to take care of the one who almost drowned.

So after a few more dozens of minutes navigating on the calm waters, they finally arrive at an island. A completely desert island without people and with only nature. Symone doesn't really remember why they stopped here because of the shock he received earlier, so he approaches the captain Gwenchlan and asks again :

-"Uh, excuse-me, what are we doing here already ?"

She turns around and the elf sees a tall and strong, still not taller than him, brown skinned woman with some scars on her face. She answers with huge smile :

-"Oh, you must be one of the new crew members ! We are here to get a treasure !" She proudly announces while showing a map to Symone.

This map indicates a way to go to the treasure, which is indicated by a big red cross, in case someone doesn't see it. And at the back of the map is an enigma because some parts of the map are erased or just not indicated. Symone take a closer look at the enigma and silently reads the few sentences written with a type of elvish alphabet :

"- The map can guide you for this step.

- Between two tall palms, 6 steps must be taken in the direction of the fading fire.

- The map can guide you for this step.

- Now that you are facing the biggest tears of this island, you must follow the bird and enter its nest.

- You are now in the bird's nest. Follow the dead ones, they'll guide you to what you want most : a key to open a big chest.

- Now step back to the two pieces of wood, then you'll find the treasure."

This treasure map doesn't seem recent at all and it also seems to be a treasure map from some famous pirates back in the days, a pretty long time ago by judging the quality of the paper and how the writings are erased. What's written on the map is still readable but only with good eyes and good light.

Symone quickly notices a drawing on the map side of the piece of paper, it is a symbol of a crescent moon, he wonders what is its signification but doesn't have time to ask Gwenchlan because she soon orders the pirates to let the anchor down to stop the galleon. They indeed arrived close to the island they were aiming for. So Symone will ask about the meaning of this symbol later.

The boat is now stopped in the water a bit away from the island, some of the pirates, including Symone and the captain, are looking for the said treasure. They easily pass the three first steps which were just to walk from a point to another and to walk West, where the sun sets, which is called the 'fading fire' on the map.

But they are now struggling to know what the bird is, which is supposed to be near a waterfall, named the "biggest tears" on the map. So they take some time to think under a bright afternoon sun and as they are thinking, the pirate who first saw the megalodon walks closer to Symone and curiously asks :

-"So, I heard you are from the capital, I'd like to know how it is up there. Is it all fancy and rich ?"

The elf takes some time, looking at this pirate, not really knowing if he can tell the truth, which is telling his own experience to the other one, so Symone says :

-"Well, honestly I don't really know much about it. I never really left my home back at the time. I can't help you, sorry about that." Symone honestly talks.

Then he looks around them as if he is trying to get rid of that pirate's questions and suddenly yells, pointing at something above the waterfall :

-"Here it is ! Look ! I found the bird !"

The green elf is right, he is pointing at a giant rock that looks like a bird's head, it is pretty hard to tell if it is an actual sculpture or if nature did it by itself. It is situated at the very top of the waterfall. The pirate right next to Symone carefully takes a look at where the half-elf is pointing but he sees no bird, so Symone explains to him, with a great excitement :

-"Look at the waterfall, it is at the top of it ! The rock is shaped like a bird's head !" The green elf is almost jumping out of excitement and joy. By the way the pirate finally notices it, after a few more explanations from the taller.

While they are all on their adventure, Amber and Vek are alone on the boat, they are both in the hold of the galleon. The pirate is now taking care of the demon, he is bringing him some water and some food for example. The red skinned one says :

-"I don't know if I was hallucinating or something but... when I was still underwater. I saw a strange man, with a fishtail replacing his legs..."

Amber looks at Vek's face, interested :

-"Really ? Was this merman blue skinned ?" The pirate questions as if he knew a mercreature and wants to make sure it is who he thinks it is.

Vek nods positively, still exhausted and laying down, resting on a thin mattress, almost like a simple blanket. Amber is weirdly really happy to hear that this merman has blue skin, then he keeps talking :

-"It might be Byoryth !! He is still there !"

Not understanding, Vek frowns his dark eyebrows then questions the other one, kind of curious to know about the one Amber is talking about :

-"Who ? Who is Byoryth ?"

-"He is my best friend, he was on the crew before but he got cursed by a mermaid and was expelled from the crew..." He stops talking in a quite bad mood, it even seems like he doesn't even finish his sentence.
