After finishing to eat the food that was generously given to the two young men, Yao Qiu decides to discreetly walk away from the group of villager who kept admiring them while eating. With luck, the demon master successfully manages to get out of the small village, no one saw him walking away, not even the demon hunter. The latter seems too interested in making sure every of the villagers is getting some of his attention, to not hurt any of their feelings.

Yao Qiu has been now walking for a few hours in forests and plains to end up in front of a house. He wonders why he ended up right in front of this pretty big house. After walking around it for a really short amount of time, he reads on a wooden sign in front of the building "Property of Yao Qiu, the great demon master", as he reads this, his eyes widen.

A lot of thoughts come to his mind at the same time, thoughts such as "This house is really huge, I must have been so rich" and "How did I end up walking to this place ? Is it muscle memory ?"

After hurriedly hiding the wooden sign, in case someone would get rid of a random demon master, he enters the big house, which has a really relaxing and calm atmosphere, as opposite of the average demon masters give as a vibe. Right after entering the house, he walks towards a big room, it must be the living room but it is full of quite weird items.

He approaches the items disposed on various shelves to see that those items are in fact demonic stuff. Yao Qiu is indeed familiar with it, he studied it when he was still a young demon hunter. It was more than a hundred and twenty years ago, so the items are slightly different from what he used to study, everything evolved for sure.

Then Yao Qiu walks towards a huge bookshelf and sees that hundreds of books are stored here, he takes one out of the shelf and starts reading it. Curious about how demonism evolved and curious about what Yao Qiu used to practice as a demon master. But a few minutes after entering the house and visiting it, Yao Qiu starts to hear some weird noise coming from the backyard. He decides to go and take a look at what it could be, thinking it is just a random lost pet.

As he enters the backyard, he sees a silhouette of a not so tall human moving behind some bushes, he asks without confidence and it shows :

-"Erm.. what are you doing here ?"

The thing stops moving out of surprise then turns toward Yao Qiu. It is slowly approaching to clearly see the newly demon master's face and suddenly jumps in front of him, saying :

-"Master ! This is us ! We came back to you, don't you remember us ?" The thing asks, wondering and pointing at itself and with a large smile.

Yao Qiu looks at it in a frightened yet curious way, after looking for a bit more time, the creature in front of him seems to be a human puppet. Yao Qiu gulps, surprised that the beast addressed him this way, while asking to that puppet :

-"What do you mean by 'master' ?"

The puppet moves around, looking really happy to talk to Yao Qiu, then explains, still happily moving :

-"Well, you might not recognise us. We were looking for you for weeks, you went missing this whole time. So it's okay if you don't remember us !"

Yao Qiu nods in agreement and says that he might have had a memory problem during the past few weeks, explaining he remembers absolutely nothing. The more they talk, the less Yao Qiu is afraid of this weird-looking creature, which claims to be created by the demon master. Then Yao Qiu asks a really basic question wondering how to call that creature :

-"By the way, do you have a name I can call you ? It feels weird to just say 'puppet' or similar things."

-"Oh yeah ! A name ! That's what humans do ! Umh... you can call us... Susu ! Yes, we like Susu."

Later the human goes back in the house, exploring more of his own habitation. He takes a few more steps, going through the house, as he walks deeper in, he gets insight of a room full of weapons. Those are called demonic weapons, he knows it thanks to his past life. Those weapons are, like the trinkets before, more evolved than what he used to see.

Yao Qiu's puppet is turned into a craw and perched on a tree outside, in the courtyard, while the demon master is trying out the weapons he saw in the weapon room a few days ago, the puppet is just looking at him, sometimes giving some reviews and advice.

The said courtyard is quite small but really furnished in flora, due to Yao Qiu's absence for the past few weeks, so he does not have a lot of space to practise with what are called "demonic weapons".

While he is training, the demon hunter he met a few days ago is in front of the house. For the moment he is just looking at the place, not knowing if he should enter that stranger's house or just wait until Yao Qiu comes to the entrance of his home. Of course it is weird for one to just go to someone's house without being told where it is.

By the way, how did Lang Xinya knows where Yao Qiu lives if he never asked him asked him ? The answer is that he sensed a demon force all around Yao Qiu when they first met, so the demon hunter just decided to go back to him to know more about it. Lang Xinya chose to come here to protect Yao Qiu from any demonic form thinking the latter has no link with demonism.

Lang Xinya waits for some more minutes before something comes in his direction. Lang Xinya feels a demonic aura approaching him, he really softly whispers, to not get caught by the house's owner :

-"A demon, I must kill it before it causes damage in here…"

He whispers, without even seeing the demon he is sensing. The thing Lang Xinya is sensing is in fact the puppet turned into a craw, hiding not that far from the demon killer.

While a fight is about to happen in front of his house, Yao Qiu is still training, he indeed saw the puppet going away, without giving it much attention. The demon master is still punching some logs with different weapons. This time he is using a sword, this weapon is producing dark fog from its dark blade and is producing a strong demonic smell, it is another reason why Lang Xinya came there.

What Yao Qiu doesn't know is that he is training with one of the most powerful weapons known but he strangely can handle its power really well, before he taking the weapon, it was simply exposed as a decoration and seemed to be never touched until now.

Yao Qiu suddenly hears someone yelling “DON'T KILL US PLEASE !!” followed by a loud metal sound, like a sword being thrown on the floor. So the demon master reacts really fast, putting back the sword at its place then directly running towards Susu's scream, which he instantly recognised.

After running through the entire house, Yao Qiu finally comes to the entrance door and sees that Lang Xinya is concentrating on pointing his sword at the puppet turned back into its human form. The demon master is surprised and asks Lang Xinya, not caring about the puppet for now :

-"What are you doing here ?"

The one who previously arrived in front of the house puts his sword down, seeing that the other one isn’t reacting in front of Susu. He says :

-"Why are you all sweaty ? Were you fighting that demon ?" Pointing at the puppet.

Yao Qiu hesitates a few short seconds before nodding to Lang Xinya, saying nothing. Seeing the other hesitating, the demon hunter takes back his sword and point it back at the demon puppet, ready to fight back but Yao Qiu rushes in front of Lang Xinya and says :

-"Don't ! Erm.. It was actually running away from me."

He even discreetly orders, with his hands behind his back, to the puppet to go away. So the puppet turns back into a craw and just flies away.

Lang Xinya is so surprised that he doesn't move for a solid 10 seconds trying to understand what just happened, a random person getting rid of a demon so easily ?

Yao Qiu interrupts those long seconds of silence by asking :

-"By the way.. what are you doing here ? And how did you find where I live ?"

The demon hunter shakes his head to focus back on the other one, then he explains that he was just walking by and that he felt a demonic aura around this house.

He is currently lying right in front of the newly demon master. From the first day he met and 'smelled' something demonic on the transmigrated one, he first thought it is because of the demon inside the small house but he quickly realised that this smell is actually coming from Yao Qiu.

Lang Xinya also explains that he wanted to protect Yao Qiu from this demonic aura but it is a ruse to see him again and to keep an eye on this mysterious man, in case he turns out to really be related to demonic cultivation or something like that.

Lang Xinya adds :

-"I also thought it might be nice for you to go back to the village with me. One of the villagers said that you should help repair the house as well. So, are you coming ?" He asks while scratching the back of his head and smiling as he stops talking.

Yao Qiu accepts, mainly because he does not want Lang Xinya to enter his house and to discover that he is an actually demon master. The demon master also feels like Lang Xinya is ready to kill anything linked with demonism without thinking before acting.
