The night comes pretty fast, the weather is still warm and Yao Qiu is thinking about what the random villager said a few hours ago. So the demon master silently wonders :

-"Is Pan Rong really coming back ? How is it even possible ? They got locked up in that special jail for 99 years, no god can survive there... If it is true then I have to stop them, they've done enough damage a thousand years ago."

It is true, the demon god is back but for now, no one knows where they are.

That "99 years" thing is in fact a curse given to gods from the highest placed god. This curse consists of trapping a demon in an empty jail for 99 years without any supplies to survive, almost none of the one sent there came back alive and healthy. So it is why Yao Qiu is wondering how it is possible for the demon god to survive this curse.

Lang Xinya is already in the small house, preparing a place to sleep, it is still a bit messy in here. The demon hunter is setting up a huge and comfy piece of fabric, he took it from one of the villagers. A villager who warmly gave it to the handsome and young man, it wasn’t that hard to get one actually. The small house consists of only one room, which is used for everything. It has a small fireplace, to cook delicious meals, a table and the newly made bed.

The demon master is outside, walking straight to the house. He takes a deep breath hoping the weird lights from his palms won't come again or he'll be dead for sure this time. It is indeed really suspicious for a random and powerless guy, as Lang Xinya is used to call him, to have powers.

After a few more seconds walking in a bit of a stressed way, the demon master finally enters the small unfinished home. As he enters he sees a warm looking place, lit up with a dozen candles, it is not worth to light up a whole fire during a summer night, they only need a bit of light, not to heat the place.

Yao Qiu walks to the middle of the room and takes a look at the sheet placed on the old and dusty wooden floor. Then he looks at Lang Xinya, the latter as a face which seems to be saying "That's the only thing we've got, sorry". The demon master says nothing about that, they'll indeed sleep together only this once.

After renovating that house, Yao Qiu plans to just go and lock himself up in his house until he learns to do golden magic again to be sure to not get killed by a demon killer.

Yao Qiu approaches the poorly made bed and just lays down in it, trying to quickly sleep. He even keeps an eye on the other man, making sure he doesn't try to murder him.

But he suddenly sees Lang Xinya unfolding and taking his upper clothes off, the demon hunter is indeed used to sleeping this way. Yao Qiu discreetly looks at Lang Xinya's body and confirms :"Ok, I transmigrated into a gay demon master. Well,... it doesn't really bother me, after all." before taking away his eyes from the other one's chest to not get caught by the one standing in the middle of the room.

Yao Qiu is laying down closest to the wall, he lets enough space next to him for Lang Xinya to lay down. The demon hunter approaches this spot, hesitating to take the place, but he quickly lays down out of tiredness while thinking "We're both men, what could happen ?".

The demon master now has Lang Xinya's back right in front of him, he can't help but to admire the muscular back right in front of his eyes. The body part is partially hidden with the demon hunter's long hair.

It doesn’t take too long for the two men to fall asleep almost at the same time.

In the middle of the night, Lang Xinya is woken up by a weird light coming from behind him, he rubs his eyes to make sure the light is real and to make sure that it isn’t coming from a dream. The soft light is indeed real. So he gently turns around to see where it comes from.

After seeing that the glow is coming from the random guy's hands, he softly gasps, to not wake him up. Lang Xinya obviously understands what this bright light means, it is not his first time rubbing shoulders with a demon related person, he is a demon hunter after all.

He softly takes Yao Qiu's glowing hands to take a closer look at it, then whispers, talking to himself :

-"That's what I thought... The demon smell wasn't coming from this house, it was coming from him. But it seems like he doesn't know about his own powers, or he is faking it really well... The light is more powerful than what I've already seen before, that's strange…"

The light slowly fades away after only a few short minutes, then Lang Xinya simply decides to go back to sleep out of tiredness, thinking about that light and still holding Yao Qiu's hands while facing him.

A demon master's power isn't supposed to be glowing in a bright white yellowish colour, it is supposed to be like a dark heavy fog, so that's why the demon hunter finds it extremely strange.

After an uncomfortable night, sleeping on the really thin mattress covering a hard wooden and dirty floor, Yao Qiu is the first one to open his eyes, he sees right in front of him Lang Xinya, who still sleeping. The demon master admires the other one's handsome face, which is partially covered in his light brown hair.

By the way, Yao Qiu is quite surprised to see another man close to him like that but, as he thought before, it strangely doesn't bother him in this life.

Then the demon master moves his eyes, first to see the rest of the really small house but his eyes suddenly stop on Lang Xinya's waist, he just realises that one of his delicate hands is just there. On the other one's waist.

After seeing that he also realises that Lang Xinya is unconsciously holding Yao Qiu’s other hand, the demon hunter is like hugging the demon master. That's indeed really weird coming from a total stranger, but Yao Qiu doesn't dare to make a move, scared to awake and anger the one in front of him up.

At the end, Yao Qiu decides to simply close his eyes, faking being still asleep, so the moment when Lang Xinya wakes up he won't think the demon master tried to get physically closer to him.

Lang Xinya finally slowly opens his light brown eyes, then unintentionally slightly smiles seeing the one in front of him this close. After that, he softly moves his hand to the demon master's face to clear it a bit from his dark hair. He also gently pats one of the demon master's cheek with his thumb, he seems to be really passionate about this moment, despite they met only a few days ago.

The demon hunter finally realises what he is doing, by the way he doesn't even know himself why he is doing that, so he softly gasps before stopping and quickly getting up. Yao Qiu felt that gesture for sure, he also felt observed for a few seconds, he'll try not to act awkward when he'll get out of the bed.

The demon hunter slowly and discreetly opens the door to not wake the other one up then he goes outside to the small river next to the house. He washes his face to fully be awake and to wash his mind from what he just did, he quietly thinks :

-"Why have I done that ? 'Yeah let's just pat a random guy's cheek, sounds fun.' What am I saying, he is not even a random guy, he is related to demonism, something I am supposed to be enemies with."

Then he continues thinking, more seriously :

-"But why is he hiding that ? I can't eliminate him if he doesn't show real proof of being a demon master or whatever."

He suddenly gets snapped out of his mind when hearing a cough coming from behind, he startles and turns around to see who it is. It sounded like a "I'm here" cough. When turning around he sees Yao Qiu with a wicker basket full of fruits and still warm traditional pastries, the demon master smiles at the one in front of him, as if he doesn't know about the soft pats he received on the cheek. Then the demon master talks :

-"Erm... Breakfast ? I found it near the entry door, the villagers must have given it to us."

They are now both sitting right in front of the small house, there's a tiny sort of balcony made of wood outside the house. The two men are now eating what was given to them as an anonymous gift under the sun of a warm summer morning.

Both are eating in silence, Yao Qiu is looking around the house, wondering how he end up there when finally being transmigrated and why this precise spot. Answers will soon be given to him because his head starts to hurt, like the first time he got a flashback, so he discreetly holds his head by faking some scratches on it, to not get Lang Xinya's attention.

But the demon master completely snaps out from reality, he suddenly faints into his flashback, the one next to him is worried and wonders what to do. While Lang Xinya is panicked, Yao Qiu is back to when he was still a ghost in front of Xia Zhi, she is still doing dark magic to transfer the ghost into the dead body laying down on the floor.

The ghost takes a look at the dead demon master, then he asks :

-"By the way... How is this demon master dead ? His wounds look painful."

The goddess uppers her head to look at the one examining the body, then explains :

-"I heard he has been tortured by a demon killer."

The ghost gets up and stares at the goddess, he yells :

-"Are you serious ?! What if it happens to me later ? Is that why I'll be forbidden to say my identity to people ?"

The goddess sights before she keeps talking :

-"Hong Zihan, listen to me. You won't be killed again because you will shut up about who you are. Let me tell you about when you'll wake up. I'll send you to a place where danger will come, so you'll need to help out the people down there" She says, pointing at the floor, meaning down to earth, then she continues "You HAVE to help people against the danger, or you'll be dead."

The name she called, Hong Zihan, is in fact the ghost's name, future Yao Qiu.

The ghost mutters, bored :

-"That's a lot of restrictions to be alive again... Not telling who I am, not telling that I transmigrated, helping people or I'll die AND I'll attract danger, nice !" Hong Zihan says, counting on his fingers.

-"That's how it is, I can't change it ! When a person wants to transmigrate, they need to prove they are worth being alive again, they have to do useful things, they have to help out other people, that's it !"

After that, Yao Qiu snaps out of his flashback by yelling "DANGER !" and breathing loudly, as if he woke up from a nightmare. Before even noticing that he is halfway laying down on Lang Xinya's laps, he feels something dripping off his lips, so he wipes it off and notices it is blood coming from his nose. He soon realises where he is, so he suddenly sits properly next to the other one, who is still the same as when he slept, topless.

After, Yao Qiu sees that Lang Xinya is holding a piece of fabric covered in blood, Yao Qiu knows that the demon hunter helped him with his nosebleed, but he just asks, without thanking the one in front of him :

-"What happened ?..." While placing one of his hands below his nose, so he won't damage his clothes, which he never changed since the first day, he could have changed when he was at his home but chose to not, the clothes there give too much a "I'm related to demons" vibes.

Lang Xinya simply replies :

-"You fainted. Let me help you with your nose."

Then, without waiting for the consent of the other one, he places one hand on Yao Qiu's back of the neck to maintain his head, after that he starts cleaning all the blood off of the demon master's face.

While it all happens, a villager is walking to the small house, it is in fact the villager who gave them the wicker basket full of food. She stays a bit away from the two men, observing them to make sure they are eating her food prepared with a lot of love. Instead she sees that they seem to be... kissing ?? In reality, the demon hunter is just cleaning the demon master's face with a piece of cloth, with Lang Xinya's posture it looks like they are passionately kissing.

The villager thinks :

-"What ?? Are they... ? Erm.. whatever, I still can try to get that cute guy." Talks about Lang Xinya.

After that, she keeps walking to them. Arrived close to them, she notices the demon hunter's naked torso so a huge smile draws on her face, she asks :

-"Good morning. How was your breakfast ?"

She surprises both of them with her soft voice, so the demon hunter stops cleaning Yao Qiu's face. Before smiling at Lang Xinya, the villager quickly looks at Yao Qiu's face, she can see some red stains close to his mouth, where the blood started to dry. But she thinks, looking at Lang Xinya :"He isn't a soft guy, that's even better", thinking he was biting the other one’s lips.

The demon hunter gives her an answer, putting the piece of cloth away :

-"Thank you miss, it was delicious." He politely bows, seeing that the woman in front of him is older than him.

After that, she asks about their night, if the room was comfortable enough. Lang Xinya answers :

-"It was a bit uncomfortable and warm but we slept well." He looks at Yao Qiu and smiles while looking back at the lady.

Then she warns them that one of the villagers is looking for them to give them some indications about a place to go for what they have to do next.
