The demon master suddenly blushes, still sitting on the floor, his hands on the ground to not fall on his back. He wasn't ready to hear such a question coming from Lang Xinya’s mouth. Yao Qiu doesn't know how to react, he just doesn't move.

He stares at Lang Xinya's mouth, the latter's mouth draws a slight smile. Seeing Yao Qiu's reaction, the demon hunter kind of guesses that the demon master is still tempted by another kiss, he is lucky that his guess is right.

Lang Xinya just slowly gets closer to Yao Qiu, to create a tension between them, as he gets closer to the one in front of him, he gently puts a hand on the demon master's back of the neck. Yao Qiu is still perturbed by the demon hunter's question. He is now halfway laying on the floor, looking into Lang Xinya's eyes, his heart is beating faster.

Yao Qiu doesn't move, he just waits for the one in front of him to kiss. The demon hunter slowly gets closer, they are now about to kiss for a second time. But something interrupts them, it rushes inside the cave, followed by Liao Bo yelling at it :

-"Demon ! Stop there ! I'll kill you !" She throws rocks at the creature.

The flying thing suddenly turns into a human after falling on the floor, then it instantly gets up looking everywhere in the cave. After meeting Yao Qiu's gaze, by the way Yao Qiu is still half-way laying on the floor with Lang Xinya starting to get on top of him. The demon master's puppet, Susu, says :

-"Master ! Something is wrong !"

Yao Qiu suddenly pushes Lang Xinya away to closely listen to what Susu has to say, so he sits correctly on the floor and stares at his puppet. It talks :

-"Master, our house has been destroyed !"

-"What ?!" Says Yao Qiu, really shocked by what he just heard, he keeps talking but this time turning to face Lang Xinya :

-"We have to go, right now !"

Yao Qiu is really frightened that useful demonic stuff has been destroyed, since Susu said that the house seems really damaged. Lang Xinya quickly gets up and helps the one who is still in pain because of the angel, he still holds his arm even after Yao Qiu is standing up. The demon master is holding his stomach, where the angel attacked previously. He is obviously still in pain, even though he is healing for a few days now.

Lang Xinya suddenly speaks :

-"We'll go first, with the puppet."

The demon hunter obviously knows how a human puppet looks like, he also realises that it isn't something Yao Qiu was fighting in his house the other day. It is his actual puppet.

-"I'll join you later. I need to check something with the angel." Liao Bo says, getting closer to the angel that is actually calm.

After a few minutes Lang Xinya flying on his sword and getting Yao Qiu on his back giving him indications on where his house is, they finally reach in front of a completely destroyed and burning house.

Yao Qiu is shocked to see his house like that, despite the fact that he wasn't in it a lot these days, he got really attached to it and to the precious and expensive demonic items in it. He doesn't know what to do in front of it and his wounds are still hurting, so he can't do anything for now.

The demon hunter notices it instantly, so he uses golden magic by a simple gesture of the hand to make rain fall on the house, slowly extinguishing the fire. Then, without speaking a word, he decides to run to the house but before he can enter it, Yao Qiu stops him by hurriedly grabbing one of his arms. He questions, worried :

-"What are you doing ? Don't you see all the flames ? It's too dangerous."

Lang Xinya turns around, takes both of Yao Qiu's hands and talks :

-"Remember when I told you that you are maybe linked to a superior entity ? I want to know if I can find anything that can help us to know if it's true. So we can maybe find out how you survived the torture and why you have this weird light coming out of your hands."

Yao Qiu hesitates for a moment, looking at Lang Xinya's hands holding his, then he talks :

-"Just wait until the fire is gone."

The demon master's puppet suddenly lands right beside them, turning back into a human, it talks to Yao Qiu :

-"Master... I found something. Come with me."

While Yao Qiu is following Susu, Lang Xinya turns around to face the house. It is still burning a bit but the clouds and rain created by the demon hunter's golden magic really slowed and extinguished most of the fire. He takes a quick look at Yao Qiu before turning his eyes back on the house.

Lang Xinya takes a deep breath before quickly walking into the house, he makes sure the demon master isn’t watching, of course. He is now inside the house, looking for hints to know more about who the demon master really is.

On Yao Qiu's side, outside and after following Susu for a very few metres, he is now in front of a pole, the pole where his welcoming sign was attached to and that he took away to let nobody knows who he is in this life.

He takes a look at that pole and notices a piece of paper attached to it, he sees three long metal nails attaching the piece of paper to the wooden pole. He ends up taking the note and reading it with a soft voice :

-"I know who you are. If you still interfere with my plans, I'll come to kill you with my own hands. So, if you don't want to die at all, come and work for me. Signed... Pan... Rong..."

Yao Qiu is too surprised and panicked to realise that those long nails are the ones used to kill demon masters. He also has a lot of thoughts, such as :

-“Why would Pan Rong come for me ? I did nothing. What if I accept working with them ? So I try to change their mind to be a good person but Lang Xinya would hate me...”

After thinking about Lang Xinya he remembers he is still supposedly waiting in front of the house, so he turns around and sees that the demon hunter isn't there anymore.

-"Lang Xinya ! Where are you ?" He yells, panicking. It is indeed too dangerous for his friend to go into the burning house. So the demon master goes a bit closer to the house and keeps yelling :

-"Lang Xinya are you in here ?!"

After a few more minutes worrying and calling for him, Lang Xinya finally comes back, coughing and his clothes all covered in ashes. The demon hunter also has a damaged book in one of his hands. He rushes to Yao Qiu then collapses to his feet, still coughing and tightly holding the book he found.

Yao Qiu kneels down to be at Lang Xinya's level, then he asks :

-"Are you ok ?" Softly patting his back, then he signs to Susu to bring some water for Lang Xinya to drink. The puppet goes and comes back with a scoop of water in a flash, it hands it to Yao Qiu.

The demon master holds the demon hunter's head and tilts it a bit so he can drink more easily, he pours some water in Lang Xinya's mouth. Yao Qiu keeps talking while feeding the other one :

-"You inhaled a lot of smoke, you could have died in here."

After catching his breath and coughing a bit more ashes, Lang Xinya shows the book he found to Yao Qiu :

-"I found this... It might help to know about you being linked to a superior entity."

Then he opens it and they both realise that half of the book has been destroyed by the fire and the rain so they can't go farther than Yao Qiu's great-great-grandparents, a lot of pages has been written about his family, they weren't really popular but they were still powerful enough to fill an entire book with their stories.

It is also written that Yao Qiu's parents are still alive but since the demon master is dead for them, he can't go and look for them, they would know about the reincarnation instantly. The demon master doesn't want to go to them by fear of being killed by the one who reincarnated him since it is forbidden for him to tell who he really is.

Lang Xinya sighs after realising he can't know more about Yao Qiu for now but the demon master has something to tell, so he unfolds the message he found earlier on the pole :

-"It's fine, let's not care about this for now and look what Susu found. It is addressed to... me..."

The demon hunter takes some time to read it in silence, then he suddenly breaks that silence by clearly wondering :

-"What ? So we are now in constant danger ? More than ever ?"

Yao Qiu doesn't let the demon hunter finish talking that he immediately apologises :

-"I'm sorry I shouldn't have come to that small house at first. It is my fault, I attracted that demon with my demonic smell." He starts to panic, worried about hurting people around him. Especially if it is Lang Xinya.

But the demon hunter instantly tries to calm him down by saying :

-"Hey. It is fine. We'll run away until finding a solution on how to get rid of that demon god. And you have powers, so it can help. You'll need to learn how to use them."

Shortly after that, Liao Bo finally arrives, still holding the angel of darkness with the chains. She walks to both Lang Xinya and Yao Qiu, still sitting on the floor. She wonders why they are both on the floor. So she talks, holding tight the angel :

-"What are you both doing on the floor ?"

But before one of the men on the floor can answer, the human side of the angel mutters in pain :

-"Argh... They... they're sending forces to... to attack you..."

The demon master instantly understands who the Angel is talking about, so he quickly gets up, leaving Lang Xinya on the floor. He says :

-"Then we have to go. I don't think we are strong enough to beat multiple creatures Pan Rong can send." After saying that, he slowly starts to walk, followed by Susu and waiting for the three others to follow.

Liao Bo gets a bit closer to Lang Xinya, she helps him to get up then whispers to him :

-"Why is a demon master scared of the demon god ? Isn't that weird ?" She sides eyes the one she is talking about. Lang Xinya answers :

-"I don't know. I'm curious about him as well."

Then Liao Bo steps a bit back and questions :

-"Aren't you two already hanging out together ?"

Lang Xinya blushes a bit then answers :

-"What ? No."

The demon killer frowns her eyebrows then talks :

-"Then why does he smell like both a demon master and a demon hunter ? The smell can't go on someone just by standing right next to them."

-"I just gave him some clothes. That's all." Lang Xinya doesn't want to tell her about the time they kissed, because it is personal.

After that short conversation they all decide to walk away from the demon master's house. They are following Susu who recommended a place to go and to stay for a bit, it is an abandoned city simply called 'Ancient City'. The demon master's puppet said that it stayed there when Yao Qiu wasn't at his house.
