Suddenly a hand wraps around Elina's wrist and turns the Sepal back into a choker.
"I told you to call me!" Neto growls ripping the piece of jewlery from Elina's hand
She leaps up spinning back at him. "I told you to tell me what I was."
He glowers. "I told you I only have a hypothesis, I don't want to lie to you when I'm not even sure." His expression is softer now and the most serious Elina has ever seen.
Luna suddenly groans slowly standing back up to her feet. "Number Three?" She grabs her chain. "The council wouldn't approve."
Neto scoffs. "Number Twenty-six you're one to talk. I'm on the council I can choose how to handle anomiloies."
She laughs softly. "Correction any Iris has a right to overstep their boundry if corruption is occuring within the council."
She spins her chain then snaps it toward Neto allowing it to turn into her sword. "So tell me Three is corruption occuring."
He glances at Elina who's wrist he is still holding. His eyes are soft, momentairly scared as he lowers her hand from his then gently moves her behind him. She watches in awe as she has never seen him so tender nor concerned. He was typically nonchalant and cocky, always bullying her like she was a puppy to tease.
"No." He says his voice holding truth. "Twenty-six allow this to slide for now."
Her eyes narrow as a sinister smile crosses. "You know I still hold a grudge." Neto moves closer to Elina clenching his jaw. "I was number one once." Her eyes slide to Elina. "Did you know this Iris killed me not once but four times due to his own fear of-"
Before she can finish Neto draws his pistol. "Ill do it again," Neto glares.
She smiles wider then chuckles. "I associate with witches, shot in the head. I fall in love, shot in the heart. I aim to take you out, shot in the back. Then I speak to the demons, shot not once but six times all because I considered not being an Iris."
He pulls the trigger and she blocks the bullet with her sword deflecting it to the celing where it disappears in a black plume.
"I'm not going to fight you on this number three." She looks to Elina again. "For her sake I'll leave this be for now."
She snaps her sword down and it returns to a chain that slithers up her sleeve.
Elina steps foward. "Why?"
Neto grips her shoulder to keep her from getting any closer to Luna.
Luna chuckles as she stares at the floor. "I also have someone I want to protect." She meets Neto's eyes again. "My name is Luna," She turns away to the door as she continues. "Get used to it. I'm sure we'll see each other more." Then she leaves.
What if everything you saw was different from everyone else...
