Sara
I still hadn't found the flaw he said was in the document he'd been reviewing for a while. I rested my head on my hand and kept my eyes open as best I could. Practically since I'd agreed to be Kennet's secretary with rights, I hadn't slept well—I'd even say I didn't even sleep at all. I hadn't set foot in my apartment for what I thought was two months. But I wasn't complaining either; I loved being with him.
"Sara, I'm done." That was my cue to finish and join him. It was just the two of us and the building guard. He took my hand and placed a kiss on it; I was besotted with him.
-I'd like to go home today- I only did it because I felt too tired to have any action today.
"Will you leave me alone, darling?" I ask indignantly.
-It will only be one day, I don't think you will die from it- I said and Kennet smiled and kissed me.
"I'll die if you're not with me," I smirked as he took out the key to his red sports car. He opened the door for me, and I stroked his cheek before sitting in. He walked around the car and got into the driver's seat. He switched on the ignition, starting the car, and the engine roared.
-You always love to make him roar- he took my hand and looked at the city all the way to my apartment.
I jumped out of the car as quickly as possible as soon as we arrived; he had already used his tactics more than once to convince me to stay by his side.
"Hey! No goodbye for me?" he said, crossing his arms.
"I know what you're going to try to do, and I won't fall for your game." I also crossed my arms.
"Not even a hug?" Defeated, I walked over to him and took his face in my hands.
"I had a great time today," I lightly kissed his lips to which he grabbed me, deepening the kiss.
-I hope you don't miss me, because I probably won't stop thinking about you all night.
"Don't be so exaggerated, Kennet. You'll get through this," I said, walking away from him toward the entrance of the building where I lived.
"Don't miss me!" he shouted at me. I turned around and started the Ferrari 488 spider he had for a car. I got in and greeted the concierge before going up the elevator and arriving at my floor.
I opened the door and immediately settled in. I took off my shoes and changed from my formal dress to my pajamas. I was seriously considering taking a week or two off to rest and go see my mother.
I thought about calling her; I still didn't know what time she got off work. I didn't wait any longer; I grabbed my phone, opened my address book, and looked for Mom's number.
After three beeps I answer.
-My girl!- I exclaimed.
"Hi mom," I said, holding back my laughter.
"Honey, how are you? I miss you so much. When will you come see me?" My mother unfortunately lived in another city, and we only saw each other once a month, if we were lucky. This was painful for both of us since we were very close. After all, it was always just us against the world.
"I'm fine, Mom. Everything's fine around here. I'm planning on coming over if you don't mind. I need a break."
"Daughter, what a thing you're saying. Your visit will never be a problem for me. In fact, I already feel very alone. Wherever I am, you'll always be welcome."
-Mom, you know I don't like to bother you, besides...
-Sara, you don't want to hear me angry, you will never be a nuisance, please understand, daughter.
"Okay, Mom," I gave in. "I'll probably be back in exactly a week because I'll talk to my boss tomorrow about the permit."
-Okay, I've learned a delicious recipe, it will be your welcome gift.
"Okay," I laughed, our love of cooking was something that had united us since we were little, "I'll call you a day before."
-Please take care of yourself daughter, we'll see each other, I love you- he said as a farewell.
"I love you more, Mom. See you later," I interrupted and left my phone on the coffee table.
Now the real problem was talking to that grumpy Kennet and how I was going to get rid of him.
