That day, heavy rain poured down. As I left my extra class, I saw him waiting at the gate, his shirt soaked through, but his eyes unwavering.
I rushed over, half worried, half angry:
“What are you doing here? You’ll catch a cold!”
He smiled, raindrops sliding down his cheeks:
“I just wanted to see you… even if only for a minute.”
I froze. All the days of distance and restraint crumbled in that instant. Unable to hold back, I threw myself into his arms.
Amid the sound of pouring rain, he whispered in my ear:
“No matter how hard things get, I promise I won’t let go. Please… don’t leave me either, okay?”
Tears mingled with the rain as I nodded. In that warm embrace, I knew that this fragile love was worth protecting.
