That day, the sky was filled with gray clouds, as if foretelling something about to happen. When I entered the classroom, the atmosphere felt heavier than usual. Whispers and suspicious glances made my heart pound.
Then, a classmate suddenly stood up, holding a phone:
“Who wants to know the truth about the ‘mysterious friend’ she’s always talking to?”
The screen projected strange messages—the very conversations between me and my online friend. The whole class buzzed with noise. Some were shocked, others laughed mockingly.
I froze. How could those private messages be exposed? Who would do such a thing?
Just when I thought everything was collapsing, the classmate who often teased me stepped forward, his eyes unusually serious:
“Enough. You don’t understand anything. That friend… helped her get through so many hardships. Without them, she might have given up long ago.”
The class fell silent. My hands trembled as I looked at him, unable to believe that the one who used to tease me was now defending me.
After class, I quietly looked at my phone again. A message appeared:
“Sorry… I never expected our secret to be revealed. But if you still trust me, I’ll always be here.”
My heart fluttered. For the first time, I realized this bond had gone far beyond a virtual friendship. It was real feelings, even if the secret was revealed.
