The House of Sins: The Legion: Level one

Chapter 1 Nigiel Keth

Chapter 1 Nigiel Keth

Sep 23, 2025

August 1, 505    07:52

"Look Roby, I managed to find another satellite," I said to Roby as I showed him the satellite dish in the trash hill. I put the satellite in the large buggy I had with me and made my way back home.

My name is Nigiel Keth, and the robot I was talking to is my little brother Roby. Roby is a 5-year-old robot that was thrown down here 5 years ago. We are currently located in an underground trash hole now and I have been trapped down here for about 7 years now, but with this satellite, we could possibly get out of here.

I am currently located in a trash hole underground right now; I don't know specifically where the trash hole is because I've never been anywhere else besides inside this trash hole. You see, I'm currently trapped down here due to there not being any exits to the place whatsoever, and believe me, I looked. I tried everything to escape this place, I tried ramming the wall with a cart I found 2 years back, I tried explosives that I have been gathering around in the trash for a while. Heck, I even tried a drill at one point to see if it could make a dent in the walls, but alas, nothing happened; the door was still somehow in mint condition. That's why Roby and I are searching for satellite dishes so we can try to get a signal to some people out of here, and then we could have a conversation with other people.

I continued to walk down the trash path that led me home, and while I was pulling the cart with our Items inside, Roby began scan the satellite dish with its red beam to see if it was still functional, See, Roby is an assistant repair and engineering robot. I found him here in the trash hole 5 years ago as he fell here. I was thankful that he fell here at the time because I was so lonely down here that I thought I was going to go completely insane due to Isolation.

Roby doesn't really talk unless it's words that he was already programmed to say, but he can respond with simply head nods or lifting his little arms up and down, which usually is enough to get a conversation going. Roby is about 3 feet tall due to him not having legs but 4 wheels. He's fast due to his wheels but not very strong due to his build and mechanical parts. He is also programed with vast knowledge of repairing, along with engineering basic and advanced mechanical components due to him scanning a lot of the broken property in this trash hole.

But the problem with Roby and probably the very reason he was thrown away is the fact that he has a 10% fixing rate. Which means there's a 10% chance that Roby would fix a machine correctly, and it doesn't matter what the machine is either. It could be something as simple as a popped-off wheel on a toy car, and he could still mess it up completely. This is the 4th satellite dish we had to go get because the last one somehow disintegrated, like it actually disintegrated into ash, we don't even have anything here that can even get that hot. One time he messed up fixing a satellite dish so badly that he somehow turned it into a toaster, the best accident that happened last year. Hopefully, this last satellite dish will be a success so we can send out an SOS to the outside world.

And even if it doesn't work this time... we do got plenty of time.

I continued to walk down the trash path to my home and came across the usual trash water pond for the millionth time, but this time, I walked over it and looked at my reflection on the surface. I wish I wasn't cursed to wear this helmet and could finally be able to see what my face looks like. I looked at my suit that is bound to me for some reason and my helmet that I can never take off no matter how hard I try; the Helmet itself makes me look like a demonic spirit by itself, but the rest of the suit guarantees it. The helmet had the head of a wolf but also the antlers of a deer. The helmet is also somewhat part of my face, like I can move it like I can move my face, so I'm pretty sure the suit is somehow connected to my face now or something, which is a scary thought.

My suit is different because, unlike my helmet, I can take it off, but the problem about that is that I can't leave the suit. Let's just say I threw my suit in a fire, and I watched it burn to a crisp, and I went to sleep in my bed. The suit would just appear on my body over my clothes once I wake back up, so really, I'm cursed to wear this outfit. The many problem with this suit is the fact that it looks like something that would come out of a supernatural movie.

The whole suit was like a jumpsuit, so it is all one piece except for the helmet. The Suit looked like some sort of werewolf-like demon with a dog's skull; the suit came equipped with ground-digging-like gloves and top-notch grip-like shoes. The suit itself was mostly black with some red stripes around the arms and legs leading up to the shoulder, But yeah, if I make it out of here, I'm going to need to talk fast about how I'm not evil, and the helmet for some reason shows me having 2 different color eyes; the right one is blood Red, while the left one is lime green.

I continued to look at myself in my reflection for a few more minutes, then grabbed my cart with Roby and the satellite in it and made it back to my home. After a couple of minutes walking, I finally made it to my home, which was just a shack I made from wooden planks and tin sheets that had fallen into the trash hole. I rolled the cart around the shack and made our way to Roby's workshop, where we kept all the tools and equipment needed to repair and build things. Roby does most of the actual repair work; I just hand him things and do all the heavy lifting while he works.

I took the cart underneath the shack, I parked it, then took both the satellite dish and Roby out of the cart. Roby was done scanning the dish and began to run over to the toolbox we collected a while back and started getting everything set up to get to work. I then placed the satellite in the middle of the floor and waited on Roby; after 2 minutes, Roby came back with some very specific tools and a battery pack. After we had gotten all the equipment we needed for this project, we then began to start working on it.

4 HOURS LATER     12:15

"Please tell me we're done; you managed to drill my fingers 3 times during all this," I said to Roby, who began to scan his work with the red beam, After Roby got done scanning, he proceeded to do a little hop.

"Current task completed; item fully repaired," Roby said while lifting his hands in the air to celebrate. I put on an exciting look for Roby, but I wasn't hopeful, mostly because he says that same thing even when most of his projects fail. I grabbed the SOS beacon and carefully carried it outside in front of my shack, while Roby was rolling right behind me, I then placed it down and began giving it some more glancing to make sure everything was in order.

After I kneeled down to get a closer look at it, Roby came up to the SOS beacon and began pressing buttons, attempting to turn it on. After a full minute of Roby tinkering with the controls, the SOS Beacon finally started to power on. I quickly grabbed Roby and ran to cover, just in case this one decides to blow up like the microwave we tried to fix last week.

The Beacon didn't do anything at first; all it did was make a few sounds like how a machine would. That is, till it started turning on. The sound of it turning on was like that of a plane engine starting up and just proceeded to get louder and louder after each second. Then the beacon began to have electrical sparks appearing all around it like someone took a powerful taser and just started shocking it. The Machine continued doing these things and proceeded to get more chaotic as the time passed, so much so that I and Roby ducked undercover to guard from the explosion, but there was no explosion.

I slowly looked over from the broken fridge that we were taking cover behind to check on the condition of the Beacon, which somehow gave me relief and stress somehow at the same time. The Beacon was fully stable, and its engine calmed down, but the problem is the electricity was still visible on the machine, but the difference is that it was forming up on the rod part of the satellite dish part of the beacon. I was going to consider the beacon broken until I looked at it closer and could see the literal Electrical signal that it's sending out. The signal took the form of an electrical wave, which cannot be normal by any means, but at least it worked.

"It works....... IT WORKS!!!" I screamed in joy as I picked up Roby and spun him around a few times.

"Data complete on equipment, Beacon has an effective battery charge that will last 1 month and is sending an SOS to all residents that are able to pick up the signal; analyses complete," Roby said while lifting his little hands in the air while I am spinning him around. After a minute of celebrating, I put him down and gave him a hug while trying to keep myself from crying tears of joy.

We can finally get out of here. I knew that trashed ship's broken beacon would come in handy someday.

After a minute of celebrating, we finally calmed down and made our way to our shack to go to bed after a long day of fixing and repair. Funny, I was somehow tired but excited at the same time. The inside of my shack isn't really anything special; it only has about 3 small rooms. One is the bathroom, and the other one is me and Roby's bedroom, where we catch some sleep during the day or night. We really can't see the sky, so we just sleep when we want. The funny thing is Roby doesn't need sleep; he just likes to sleep sometimes. The last room of the shack is our storage. It's the biggest room in the shack that holds most of our equipment, like our weapons, food, clothing, spare parts, etc.

I then took my suit off and set it on a shelf near me because as long as the suit is 10 feet away from me, it won't teleport on my body. I then hopped onto the worn-out mattress that I found in the trash and began to lie down; Roby followed my lead and went to his charger port that is powered by a repaired car battery and switched himself into sleep mode, Roby has solar panels to charge himself, but for those to work, he needs to have sunlight, and you don't get any of that in an underground trash hole.

I rolled over on my side with my body facing the wall and slowly closed my eyes as I drifted to a good sleep; I only had one last thought before I slept.

Tomorrow will be a life-changing day.

7 hours later

BOOM!!!!!!!

The sound of a loud explosion had suddenly woken me and Roby up from our peaceful sleep; both of us didn't move for a second and just stared at each other. But then came a second explosion, which sounded like it was coming from the trash hole's ceiling. We then got up as quickly as we ever did and got outside the shack to look at where the explosions were coming from.

Another explosion went off, which made both of us look up and see a large ship coming down from the ceiling while dropping bombs to destroy the ceiling. The ship continued dropping bombs to open a hole big enough for the ship to fully get through safely. After that, it started slowly descending down, and I got excited and started waving to grab their attention as they descended.

After they had made it inside, their ship let out a red light that was similar to Roby's scanning beam. It looks like the ship is doing a full scan of the area, but something didn't feel right about this ship. After a minute, the beam finally made it down to where Roby and I were and then began to scan us with the ship's scanners. But the surprising part about the scanning was when the beam stopped midway through us, and all of its beams began to focus on me, Roby, and the beacon we had used to send the SOS signal. After a full minute of the ship scanning us, the ship's scanner turned off and descended until it was 40 feet off the ground, then a speaker came on from the ship along with a hatch from the side opening up with a robot looking at us through it. Thats when the ship used its announcement the speakers and man did the announcement made my heart sink.

"Orders received from the leader of the ship: eliminate all hostiles in the area," the speaker on the ship reported, and as soon as it did that, the robot in the hatch on the side of the ship bent down, grabbed a rocket launcher, and fired at us. I dived to the right while Roby rolled to the left, and we managed to dodge out of the way from the missile, which was good, but not for our blown-up shack. I wanted to feel sad about our home, but it wasn't the time for that now. I ran over, grabbed Roby, and started running the opposite way of the ship. I looked back to check if any other rockets were going to get fired at us, but what I did see was a big robot that was staring directly as I was running away. The robot was fully black with a hood on top of his head along with a full black robe as clothing. It also had glowing red eyes but with no pupils, and the weapon it had on it was just a scythe with some markings on it. The robot looked like a robot, Grim Reaper.

Me and the robot locked eyes for a total of 6 seconds, the robot then let out a loud laugh that I could hear clearly, then it lifted its scythe and pointed it at me while raising its left hand.

"Eject all rifle bots; bring me everyone's scalps! I've been bored a little on the trip here to meet you Nigiel Keth," he said as a flash of red light flashed from his, and what followed it was 20 robots with swords, shields, and rifles. They fell out of their ship and began gunning for me at a slow pace.

"This is going to be a long day." I chuckled out of fear while still running for my life while dragging Roby with me.
