''thank you dad''she replied.

she opened the car door,stepped out, and  closed the door gently .she moved little back from the car,lower head a little and  waved her hand towards her dad.Vishnu waved back still having that smile on his face and the car drove off.

meera's smile faded as the car was going far from her sight.

''i know how tired you are dad,and your fake smile, just for my sake hits me hard.And your ignorance is still making my heart ache [she lifts her head and looks at the sun..her eyes becoming narrow...]i just hope that someday our life will also start shining like this bright sun''meera thinks

As she lowers her head,her gaze falls on swetha,who was standing opposite side of  road near the gate of college.

Meera's mood instantly lit up....her lips curving into a smile that came straight from the heart,unable to hold her excitement she ran towards her,crossing the road.Swetha noticed meera's arrival

''slow down...meera''swetha said softly

''okay..okay....''meera gave a big smile

''you look so happy today...its making me happy too..what happened by the way''swetha replied placing her hands on meera's hands

''seeing a strong wind,you expect a horrifying storm but instead of that when you see a spark of sunlight.....how

 would u feel??''meera question  holding her hands tighter lifting a eyebrow

swetha gave a quick answer...

''i would be enlighted for sure''

''that's what happened with me now''meera replied a soft tone

''wait...what?there were winds outside last night....''swetha teasing meera

swetha trying to be playful..

''ohh god...how will i manage this silly human...''meera smiled placing her hand on her head...'shall we go to class now '

''swetha nodded her head saying yes.....

Meera and Swetha started walking side by side through the college gate. The campus was already buzzing with students — some rushing to class, some lingering in groups, their laughter echoing through the corridors.

Swetha and meera...arrived at cross over,where they have to change their ways to their particular classrooms..

''okay then!Let's meet in the afternoon lunch break...take care byeeee...don't be late okay''swetha sighed

''late! and me...i think that word suits you more...silly girl''meera teased

''okay!let's see then who comes late today''swetha widened her eyes,pointing a finger towards meera

Meera laughed, pointing her own finger back

''you know i always win...''

they bothed waved their towards each other and left to their particular class room

Talking to her makes me feel..awaken..enlighten..and a little distance also feels like a light year....meera's smile turned into worry of getting too attached to her friend...which was completely unacceptable to her mind....

PRESENT

''she was always  afraid of  getting love and showing love...and when she overcame her fear, living happily this happened''swetha tears dropped with her each words..Her trembling hands rose to cover her eyes..trying to hide her tears 

Sanju felt a sting in her heart....her nose became red...her eyes were teary..she was toughly holding them back....

Vishnu was lost in silence....he didn't understood whom to blame...to himself or to his fate...

swetha was still crying ..Vishnu’s inner voice, broken and fragile, urged him forward....he lifted his one hand and gently placed it on swetha's shoulder,tapping it twice...

''tell me dear...what happened then''vishnu's voice low and curious,moreover felt  like a urge to know the truth accepting which has already happened

The words struck the room into stillness...everyone in the room looked at vishnu...his eyes were red...his eye veins swollen...

sanju's tears were falling....soundless and unstopable.. Swetha rubbed her eyes, swallowed her grief, and with a trembling determination… she began again.....

PAST-That Afternoon....

''Anvi...let's go canteen...''meera said in a hurry

''chill...did you left anything there''anvi asked in concern

''nope...swetha and i had a challenge...''meera explained

''i see...okay lets go...''

Meera and anvi were walking fast..making their way through the crowded corridor...but their feets had to stop suddenly..as there was a tall boy with a white t-shirt layered with a black checked shirt ,wearing a black jean came infront of them....his hair was had a light curls,sharp eyes...and that smile..which looks deadly with combined with his whole look...

''excuse me!who are you''anvi asked anxiously,as they were getting late

''hello...you are new to me...but not this MISS''he said pointing towards meera with his eyes

''are you the guy,who hit me yesterday?''meera enquired

''actually..that's not me.. it was my friend ARUN.....myself ROHAN...he hitted you because of me..''rohan replied

''Then why did you came...your friend must come right''anvi sighed

''umm..you are right..but it happened because of me...so yeah...I am really sorry miss''

meera interuppted''Meera..my name is meera''

''okay sorry meera...how's your shoulder it was hurt right''rohan asked with concern on lips and guilt filled in his eyes

''yeah...my shoulder,its doing  good now...no worries''meera replies with a smile

''okay!that's a relief..''rohan smiles 

Anvi..presses meera's hand instructing her that its getting late...

''okay..we must go now... actually my friend is waiting for me..''meera sighed

''your friend...you mean that girl who was standing beside you yesterday''rohan asked curiously

''yeah...''

''i think i must apologize her too..so can i join you guys'' Again guilt filled in his voice but with curiosity

''i don't think that necessary but if you want to you can''meera replied

And the three of them....started for the canteen...

i sat on chair....took out my phone and texted meera...

she puts her phone aside and her gaze droppes at meera and anvi but not rohan as there was pillar which covered him from her sight...

with a uncontrolled exicitement of winning...swetha stoodup raise her hand and says aloud...

''meera!look i won''

Before Meera could react, Swetha’s eyes caught Rohan — smiling, watching her every action. Heat rushed to her cheeks. She lowered her hand quickly and sank back into her seat.

Grabbing her phone, she scrolled up and down,pretending to be immersed in something important, though her heartbeat betrayed her.

The three of them reached swetha...meera and anvi were chuckling..as they could see swetha's embarrassment.

''swetha!are you busy''anvi teased swetha.                                                                                                                           ''yes!!!i am doing some work...Meera bring me coffee...''swetha's voice filled with confidence                                       ''okay..madam..''anyways,swetha he is rohan.he came here to tell you something...''meera telling swetha

Swetha lifted her eyes but expectedly she had a eye contact with him...as he was looking her...without blinking his eyelashes,which made her more embarrassed...                                                                                                                   ''actually...i think ....i don't need a coffee now...i..will go to my classroom....bye meera..bye anviii...''swetha voice trembling...                                                                                                                                                                               ''she will get normal..she is just embarassed''meera reassured

That evening....                                                                                                                                                                         I was waiting at the entrance of meera's block...gazing at the setting hot,supreme sun which gives raise to cool,charming moon....(swetha closed her eyes,breathed a deep breathe...)

rohan is  best friend of arun...if i could somehow get to know rohan's no. and ask him about arun and his behaviour,then i can think about pairing meera and arun.BUT how will get rohan's no. ,he saw the worst side in me today....he would think me that i'm mad.ahhhh!what i'm even thinking i must forget this...forget that scene and also pairing this two as well.(swetha opened her eyes gently)

she saw meera standing infront of her.....                                                                                                                              ''you came,how didn't i know that''swetha asked meera in a confused tone                                                                    ''you were busy in your thoughts,i just felt not to disturb you''meera sighed                                                              ''i'm having a headache meera....i think i must leave now''   swetha said rubbing her forehead                                      ''headache!what are you thinking that is hurting your head that much.....''meera asked with concern...                        ''i don't know...byee.meera lets meet tomorrow...''saying this swetha walked away but meera kept watching her steps as she was leaving...
