One Halloween morning, all the kids of Argonia were excited to go get up to go to school because the school staff had decided to allow all the children to where their Halloween costumes while at school. One little girl was especially happy, because she got to dress up as an vampire. Even though her parents did not like the idea, they still bought her everything she needed to dress up as one. Only her older brother was in favor, because he was a goth and had gotten vampire fangs permamently placed over his incisors and had even told their parents that it would give his little sister a great opportunity see which costume she would like to dress up as every year on Halloween. Their parents eventually agreed and let their daughter dress up as a vampire.

             The little girl, who was named Sloan, woke up that Halloween very excited and got up from a bit earlier than her family and decided to go to her brothers room. She then stopped in front of her brothers room and put one of her ears to the door to hear if he was still asleep; he was. She then smiled, then opened her brothers room door and then ran inside yelling.

              Sloan- "SILAS, SILAS, WAKE UP, WAKE UP AND HELP ME PUT ON MY COSTUME." 

              Silas- "DAMMIT SLOAN, HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU not to come into my room without knocking first."

              Sloan- "Sorry big brother but it's Halloween."

              Silas- "Shit, sorry, I forgot I can't cuss in front of you, but I forgot about today. Okay let's go back to your room so I can do your vampire makeup, but you have to put your costume on by yourself."

              Sloan- "Yay, okay, let's go."

              Silas smiled and then followed his sister back to her room, where she quickly grabbed her costume and went inside her closet to change. When she walked out, Silas smiled and told her that she looked very cool in her costume, which made her very happy and then Silas put makeup on his little sister.

               After a few minutes, Silas finished putting makeup on his little sister, then smiled with satisfaction at the amazing job he had done. He then said.

               Silas- "Okay sis, I'm done, but you can't look yet. I'm going to cover your eyes and then walk you to your mirror and when we are right in front of your mirror I'm going to move my hands away."

               At his final words, Silas covered his sisters eyes with his eyes and then he and she walked to the mirror. They walked slowly so they would not trip and fall, but because of that it took them a few minutes until finally Silas and Sloan stopped right in front of Sloan's mirror, then Silas smiled and then removed his hands from Sloan's eyes. Sloan then opened her eyes and then looked into her mirror. What happended next even scared their parents and made them run into Sloan's room, Their parents then became shocked and then their mother asked.

               Velda- "Sloan did you do your own makeup?"

               Sloan- "No mommy, it was big brother who did it."

               Velda (Mother)- "Silas, what did you do with your sister's makeup?"

               Silas- "I just made her look like a vampire that's all."

               Velda- "Well you certainly made her look beautiful. She will definitely make all the other little girls jealous and will have all the little boys staring at her."

               Valeric- "Absolutely not, because I will not allow that."

               Velda- "And how are you going to stop that from happening?"

               Valeric- "I will go to the school and talk with the school and hopefully they will talk to the parents and the boys."

               Velda- "Valeric, are you serious. Why don't we just let her fun today and let her enjoy all the attention that she will get."

               Valeric- "Velda, what if she gets bullied instead of getting complimented."

               Velda- "Okay fine but if anything happens DO NOT SAY THAT I DID NOT WARN YOU."

               Valeric- "Okay. I'm getting hungry what for breakfast."

               Everyone else laughed and then walked down to eat breakfast and then it was time for Silas and Sloan to go to school, so everyone walked out of their home, got onto their van and then Valeric drove Silas and Sloan to school.

               When Valeric arrived at Sloan's school, he noticed that she had become nervous, but then Silas put his hand on top of her's and told her to stop being nervous and that she would the one stealing all the attention. Sloan then smiled and gave her brother a hug, then excitedly got off the van and ran into the school. Valeric and Velda smiled at their interaction, then Valeric drove off to take Silas to his school.

               As soon as Sloan walked up to her school, all the other children stopped what they were doing and stared at her, then her friends ran up to her and excitedly began asking her questions.

               Layla- "Sloan omg I love your costume, who bought it for you?"

               Kai- "My question is Who did your makeup?"

               Sloan- "Okay okay calm down. My parents bought my costume and my brother did my makeup."

               Layla with wide eyes- "Really how does he even know how to put makeup on someone else?"

               Sloan- "My brother is a goth and knows how put on gothic makeup, so he decided to do mine."

               Kai- "He did awesome. Can he do mine too."

               Sloan- "Nope it's already too late."

               Kai- "Awwwwwww, okay there is always next year."

               Sloan- "Yeah."

               The three girls then walked into the building and went to their classroom for their first class. But as soon they walked in, everyone stared at sloan and began asking her questions about her costume and makeup and she answered all of them, then the bell rang and it was time for everyone to go to their classes.

               Sloan was happy throughout the morning, but of course there was the popular girls of the school and they became very jealous, because everyone kept complimenting Sloan, so they came up with a plan to ruin Sloan's day, but then someone reported them and got detention for one day. The main popular girl got, who is named Hannah, upset and decided to come up with a new plan but she would have to tell her friends more privately, so she decided to invite her friends to discuss her plan. 

               A few hours later, school ended for everyone in Sloans grade, then everyone became excited, because a bit later they would all go out trick or treating with their parents. Sloan was especially excited, because she was hoping that all the adults, other children and teenagers would compliment her. When she returned home, she walked in on her mother standing at the entrance with a smile on her face and holding her trick or treating basket, which of course, was in the shape of a bat. But it was no ordinary bat shaped trick or treating basket. This basket was made with a 3d printer that her father used, knowing that Halloween only a few days away, but he still did it. He then explained everything to Sloan in way that she could understand and she did. Her parents then told her that she could out trick or treating if she ate dinner first and did homework that was given to her and that could Silas could walk with her. She agreed and then she quickly ran to her room to do her homework.

                 An hour later, Sloan finished her homework and then ran to her Silas's room, then knocked on his door. Silas opened his door and then laughed when he saw Sloan was already in front of his room, so he walked out and then he and Sloan walked downstairs, then told their parents that they are going out to go trick or treating. Their parents said that it was fine, but they could not stay out past ten o clock. Silas and Sloan only responded with a yes sir and a yes ma'am and then they walked out.

                 As soon Silas and Sloan walked out, they noticed that there was a lot of trick or treaters walking around their neighborhood, there was even some from other neighborhoods, then they noticed why. Many of the houses were decorated very terrifying. Silas then noticed that Sloan had become nervous and scared, but then he assured her that everything was fake. He then noticed that his words had helped, then they walked to one of the houses that was giving out candy. After that house they walked to the next house.

                They walked around for two more hours, but then Silas realized a little too late that they had walked into another neighborhood, but luckily some of the houses were decorated and even thought they were nervous they walked to one those house. Luckily, when they rang the door bell, a kind and gentle elderly woman opened the door. She then smiled and then Silas and Sloan said their trick or treats, she laughed and said.

                Cordelia- "My, my, what such beautiful little vampires. Here is your candy and have fun on the rest of yours Halloween night."

                 Silas and Sloan walked away a bit happy and creeped out, but still kept on walking to the next house. Luckily, the person who opened the door was not creepy, but very nice to them and gave them candy after they said their trick or treats. Silas and Sloan walked to the final houses of the night, Suddenly, Silas heard several pairs of footsteps behind them and decided to walk a little faster, but the persons behind them also walked a little faster. Sloan became scared and began to cry, so Silas picked her up and ran as fast as he could. The persons following them also ran, but Silas was faster and managed to get much more further ahead of them. Suddenly, Silas noticed that he ran so fast that he made it out of the other neighborhood and made it back to theirs, but luckily their followers did not enter theirs. Silas finally stopped running and then he put down Sloan who was still crying and then he hugged her and then told her.

                Silas- "Sloan it's okay now, stop crying. We made it back to our neighborhood and are safe now.

                Sloan- "Okay big brother. Are we going to tell mommy and daddy."

                Silas- "Yes we are, so let's go home."

                Silas and Sloan walked home and told their parents what had happened. Of course, Valeric became very upset at them for walking out of their neighborhood and into the other one, Velda had become very worried and told them not to do it again. Silas and Sloan said their sorries, then their parents told them to show them all the candy they had collected. They did and their parents were very impressed, then they told them that they can put all their candy away and go to bed. Silas and Sloan smiled at each other and then they ran upstairs and went to their rooms. Veld and Valeric then stayed behind and had a very serious conversation.

                Valeric- "Velda that neighborhood is very dangerous, so how did they manage to get into it.

                Velda- "They were walking around, so of course they would eventually were bound to get lost and besides it was our fault for letting go outside without us."

                 Valeric- "I know Velda, but what I'm worried about is that they walked to Cordelia's house."

                 Velda gasps then said- "Not Cordelia. She is that elderly woman that hires young men to chase after young girls to kidnap and take them to her home."

                 Valeric- "Yes that Cordelia, but do you know why."

                 Velda- "No, tell me."

                 Valeric- "Okay, so a few years ago, Cordelia had a granddaughter who was very pretty and was a goth, because her parents were goths too. Well, one day Cordelia's granddaughter fell very ill and her parents tried to take her of her as best they could, but couldn't. So in the end they took her to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with cancer. Her parents were devasted with the news and decided to do everything they could for her. Unfortunately, it was alredy too late and the cancer took her life. Cordelia was devasted by the news and went insane. Ever since she lost her mind and now when she sees a pretty girl she thinks that little girl is her granddaughter."

                Velda- "That is so sad. Now I'm even more worried."

                Valeric- "Don't worry. Cordelia's hires only do the kidnappings when littles girls walk into their neighborhood."

                Velda- "Have the authorities have done anything to stop all that from happening."

                Valeric- "Yes, but then they gave up because Cordelia would cry everytime and tell them that she only wants her granddaughter."

                Velda- "Then I hope they won't come into our neighborhood."

                Valeric- "Don't worry that will not happen"

                 Or so they thought. On that night Cordelia sent out her hires and somehow those hires got into their and took Sloan from her home while she was still sleeping. Sloan woke up while one of the hires was holding and realized what happening and tried to run away from them. Sloan ran to the only other safest place she knew and that was her school. The hires chased after her and caught up to her. Sloan ran again and then hid behind the giant tree in her school's yard, but the hires found her and then did the most cold blooded act; they killed her. The hires then ran to tell Corderlia, but Cordelia got very upset and killed them then burnt their bodies so no one would find out who killed Sloan and would become suspicious of her.

                 The next morning, Velda, Valeric and Silas woke up to eat breakfast together, but they realized that Sloan had not woken up. Silas then went to wake her up, but when he opened the door, he realized that Sloan was no there. He then ran back downstairs and told his parents. His parents immediately called the police and a search began.

                 The search lasted for a few hours, until one of the officers finally found her body and then called everyone over. When they did, Velda, Valeric, and Silas fell to the ground and cried. The three of them cried so much that no one could get them to stand up, so everyone else left them alone.

                 After a few minutes Velda, Valeric, and Silas finally stopped crying and stood up and then walked over to Sloans body Velda held her and cried again, stopped again and then she Valeric and Silas walked away from everyone else without saying anything and were not seen again until a few days later.  It was then that everyone found out they had buried Sloan somewhere else and that they would be leaving the city for good.

                  Every Halloween night, the city holds a vigil for Sloan.
