I decided to run to the north side of the trash hole for cover. I usually avoid the north side of the trash hole entirely because that's where the trash usually falls from, and free-falling trash is usually one-way ticket to heaven if it lands on your head.
As I was makeing my way to the north side of the wall, a sword-and-shield robot came out of nowhere and crashed into me and knocked me to the ground. I got up as fast as I could and pulled out my shovel that was strapped onto my back to defend myself.
The robot swung its sword at my head, trying to get this fight over quickly, but I managed to duck under its slash and swung my shovel at its chest. The attack landed, but it didn't do any damage because of its armor. The robot swung low this time, which made me go for a block.
The good news is that I managed to block its sword; the bad news is that a sniper round hit me in my chest, which sent me tumbleing back. I landed withh my back against a pile of trash near the trash hole wall and tried to recover, only for the sword and shield bot to plant its foot on my chest, causing my body to slightly sink into the trash.
The sniper robot then ran towards me and for some reason, it was running towards me like it couldn't see me.
Man, these are some terribly designed robots.
The sword-and-shield robot then lifted its sword in the air, getting ready to finish me off. I quickly reached around trying to find an item that could help, but before I could find an item, the wall I was near exploded right beside me.
The explosion actually didn't affect me that much due to the robot being on top of me, But the explosion did cause the robots to get launched and break apart as they hit the ground. I slowly got up while holding my ears due to the ringing of the explosion as I began looking at the now hole that was created in the wall.
"Okay, maybe I used too much gunpowder for this mixture," A voice said inside the smoke near the wall. I instantly froze and stapled my eyes on the smoke. I then heard footsteps slowly approaching. I lifted my shovel, as readied myself for another enemy only to come face-to-face with a white, human-sized owl creature with a big bag on its hip. We both locked eyes for a while, I then made the decision to try to make a peaceful and calm first impression while also keeping my gaurd up just incase she wants to try something.
"Hello, Owl," I said in the nicest tone I could muster, then a loud bang filled the entire trash hole. ANd not even 2 seconds later a plasma net flew over our heads and covered the hole that was blown up, trapping us both in this place now.
"Player 3 has been entered, increasing difficulty by 25%!!" The Main robot on the ship announced. After he announced that 1 more bot was dropped from the ship, I couldn't see what type of robot it was; all I could see was that the robot was big. I looked back at the Owl, who was looking back at the now sealed-off hole she made, and then looked back at me with confusion as she finally spoke.
"What did I just walk in on?" she asked me while reaching in her bag. I looked back at the ship that was still in the air, along with the broken robots that were destroyed due to the explosion. I then spotted the sniper rifle that was used to shoot me to the ground.
I picked it up, and held it out for the owl.
"A megalomaniac." I said with a slight joy in my voice.
How can I not be a little happy when freedom is so close, just a little more work.
