Kole smirked at the Alpha's reaction. He looked shocked and embarrassed, but also like he wanted to kill me. He was used to such looks, glancing around and taking in the air; it's just them. At least having to deal with just one alpha. By his demeanor, he appears to be spoiled and arrogant, yet also insecure. Staring for a while longer, though both the Alpha and Omega are searing holes into Kole's head, both in polar opposite ways. Groaning inwardly, Kole's brows furrowed, and his smirk turned to an awkward smile. This was just perfect, getting an enemy on the first day. Kole thought about how he had stolen the Alpha's seat, but that's on him. From the right of Kole's ear, the alpha's pencil screeched across his paper. He looks concentrated, taking notes, like some kind of coping mechanism, or just weird. Kole didn't bother to question it, so he just pulled out a notebook from his old school, since his parents refused to buy anything or even feed him after the stunt he had pulled.
"Ace." Mrs. Katz's voice nearly made Kole jump from his thoughts.
Hearing the pencil had finally ceased in that moment, and Kole glanced over to see the Alpha lift his head. His face looked perfect, like all that anger and frustration had vanished instantly, but what he couldn't hide was the slight tremors, mainly centered around his hands, which confused me just a bit. Kole connected the dots and figured that's the Alpha's name.
"The principal wants you to show our new student around, since you're both Alphas; it's quite the match, isn't it?" Mrs. Katz's face was like a shining beacon, a shine that no one could refuse.
"Yeah, as long as he can keep up," he says with a charming smirk.
Mrs. Katz chuckled as though Kole's existence was absent, but it doesn't matter. Watching as Ace stood upright, Kole sighed heavily and reluctantly mimicked Ace's actions. Kole saw a flicker of irritation in Ace's eyes as he noticed that he was slightly taller than him. Following alongside Ace, exiting the classroom, it's a long and silent walk. Kole glanced around, completely blurring out Ace's rambling about classrooms and clubs. Kole noticed a flyer on a decently large billboard; his finger traces the word "Sports"; it intrigued him something to keep him away from home for even a second, made Kole take the flyer before catching up to Ace, who didn't notice a thing.
"So I'm guessing you're a teacher's pet? Kiss ass?" Kole says, casually, hands behind his back as he leans forward. He watched as Ace paused for a split second before continuing his long strides. Kole stared before following suit. "I can assure you that I'm not, and I'd appreciate it if you minded yourself," Ace said, suddenly running a hand roughly through his already messy hair. Kole stared and smiled to himself as he was intrigued. This was the first Alpha to intrigue Kole.
Ace was the perfect boy, a bit arrogant, but it doesn't matter; ideal in every way his parents want; the top of his school, perfect, looked up to as the only alpha in his small town, or at least that's what he believes. He doesn't remember the last time he smiled, but as long as his parents breathe down his neck, all he can do is force it to be the pinnacle of the town until a new student comes to town to ruin his life.
