Hank walked into her room, “Lucy, I heard something fall- Lucy?” He kneeled down and quickly stopped her from hitting her head again. “Hey hey hey. What's the matter? Was it George?” Lucy stays silent and hugs his arm. He holds her for as long as she needs him to.
“Can you stay for the night? L- like a sleepover?” She asked shakily. He looked at her and smirked then shrugged playing it off like it was nothing, “sure, kid. I ain't got nothing waiting for me at home.” She crawled into bed with him, felt calm and safe.
But not everyone was safe that night.
Hank wakes up sore from sleeping on the floor, he grunts and groans as he sits up. “Ugh… note to self: sleep with a pillow next time.” He rubs his neck and sees that Lucy is sound asleep. He sighs and gets up and goes outside into the hallway.
Then a blood curdling shriek enters the house and runs through the halls. Waking everyone up, Adam runs out of his room screaming and holding his robe shut. “SOMEONE HELP! MURDER! MURDER!” Hank rushes into the room and sees the torn and slashed naked corpse of the maid. Quincy rushed into the room as well but was stopped by the smell, filling his nostrils with rotten flesh and oils. Quincy ran to the railing of the stairs, leaned over and threw up everything in his stomach. Not knowing Amy was downstairs, his vomit spilled all over her. She screamed at the top of her lungs and ran back into her room.
Quincy coughed up more vomit, Lucy walked past him and went into the room and saw Hank examining the body. Her blood went cold and chills went up and down her spine. “What…. What…” she said wanting to scream, cry, yell, something but it was like she forgot how to. Hank looked at her and sighed. “Lucy… go back to your room.” She nodded and ran back into her room. He called his team to come help him.
Soon his team arrives and bags everything up. Hank sits everyone down and sighs. “No one is to leave the property, not until we find the killer. Whoever did this, knows you were here. The only people who know you're here is everyone in this room. One of you is the killer. Question is… who?” He says as his face darkens. The house was put under lockdown, the gates were closed, windows were locked.
Lucy goes to him and shyly asks, “Are you sure that the killer is here?” Hank sighed and lifted his head from the files. “I'm afraid so Lucy, you need to stay close to me though. I know you're innocent because I was with you all night.” Lucy looked at the ground. “I can barely hurt a fly.” Hank smiled a little bit and chuckled.
“Well I have a hunch it's George. His temper is short, he could have been disgusted with the maid for being with Adam.” Hank says with his head in his hands. He sighs and stands up, “come on, let's see if the bastard has an alibi.” Lucy hurries behind him.
