A while later, Aries wandered around the room to kill time, while Maika just sat on the bed.
"Maika."
Aries stopped and looked at Maika.
"Yes?"
"I want to ask you something."
Aries said and sat down on the chair in front of Maika, her expression unreadable.
"What is it?"
"When did you get here?"
"The day before yesterday."
Aries nodded slightly, so Maika had arrived before her, and perhaps even before Victor.
"Did you find your own way here?"
"Yes, they checked me and let me in."
"Hey..."
"Yes?"
Aries looked at Maika for a moment, tilting her head slightly and frowning a little.
"We're the same age, you don't need to use such formal language with me."
"Ah... you don't like it...? I'm sorry..."
"Maika."
Aries crossed her arms, her eyes seriously looking at Maika.
"First, don't apologize if it's not your fault. Second, it's not that I don't like it, I'm just wondering why you're using such formal word, it's nothing more than that."
Maika was surprised, she nodded slightly. Aries sighed, she reached out and gently patted her head, wanting to comfort Maika a little. Maika was slightly startled, but she didn't resist.
"So, why is that?"
"Because... I started using that word at first, so I got used to it..."
Aries sighed softly. She looked at the digital clock on the wall.
[07:45]
"Let's go."
Aries grabbed Maika's hand and pulled her up. Maika was surprised, she obediently followed Aries.
Aries slowly twisted the doorknob and opened the door, she looked around to see if there was anyone suspicious. There were only a few people left, maybe everyone was gradually going downstairs. Aries gently pulled Maika out of the room and closed the door.
Aries led Maika to the elevator, she looked around, not seeing the girl who had caused trouble with her anywhere. She must be angry and went somewhere.
Aries pressed the open door button and went in. Following her, a few people squeezed in. Aries understood the problem and showed an uncomfortable expression, it turned out that these people wanted others to press the button for them so they were waiting like that.
'Oh my god, are they crippled or something that they can't press such a small button?', Aries thought to herself with annoyance. She glanced at each person, noticing their clothes were a bit dirty.
Ah. Rich people. Aries curled her lips uncomfortably, looking at the dresses and shirts they were wearing, it was clear they were all from rich families. No wonder the person who caused trouble with Aries earlier was so tyrannical.
'I didn't think of this situation...', Aries thought to herself. Suddenly, a young man bumped into Maika, causing her to stagger and grab Aries' arm.
"Careful..."
Aries supported Maika and pulled her closer, her eyes glaring at the young man. The young man looked at Aries, he shuddered slightly and turned away.
Maika felt that something was wrong, she quickly squeezed Aries' arm lightly.
"Ari... please bear with it..."
Aries glanced at Maika, Maika's eyes showing worry. Aries sighed softly, she pulled Maika back and leaned against the corner of the elevator.
In the elevator, no one said a word to each other. The whole elevator was full of murderous intent and coldness, suffocating. Aries gently squeezed Maika's shoulder to comfort her.
Ting!
The elevator door opened and everyone in the elevator quickly stepped out and dispersed. Aries and Maika stepped out last.
"Aries."
Aries turned around, Cliff walking towards her with his usual emotionless face.
"Hi, Cliff."
"Not with Vik today?"
"He's practicing first, we're practicing later."
"What time?"
"8 o'clock."
Aries looked at the digital clock on the wall.
[07:53]
Cliff also looked at the clock, then he looked at her.
"Then go, come back here with Vik after practice later."
"Yes, goodbye."
"Yeah."
Aries nodded goodbye and led Maika away. Cliff watched Aries walk out the door and turn left, disappearing from sight. He recalled the white-haired girl walking with Aries, she seemed quite taciturn.
"Cliff."
Cliff turned around, seeing a man walking towards him. The man stopped in front of him, one side of his platinum blonde hair neatly slicked back, the other side falling loosely in front of his forehead along with a green streak in his bangs. His green eyes were bright and captivatingly strange. If no one said anything, no one would believe this man was over 30 years old.
"Hello, Sir Jake."
Cliff bowed slightly. Jake smiled and nodded.
"You said you wanted to show me something that would impress me?"
Jake crossed his arms in front of his chest, giving a friendly and somewhat curious smile. Cliff nodded, he reached out his hand, a flame flared up and disappeared, a piece of paper falling into Cliff's hand.
"Here you are, Sir."
Jake took the paper from Cliff's hand, he looked at the profile picture of the person in the paper and their information.
"What's so special about this person?"
"Please look at the necklace around that person's neck."
Jake frowned in confusion, he looked for a moment. Suddenly, he chuckled softly.
"It's not fake, is it?"
"No, I guarantee it to you, Sir."
"Hmm, this person is quite 'mysterious'..."
Jake looked at the person's picture in the paper, he softly read the name to remember it.
