Wreck me, Tavian

Chapter Four

Chapter Four

Sep 25, 2025

Nyssa was about to say more when someone suddenly grabbed her hand from behind.

She turned fast and saw Sunniva.
"Sun?"she blinked in surprise.

Sun's eyes went to Tavian for a split second before she looked away and dragged Nyssa with her.

"Hey! Where are we going?!" Nyssa snapped, glancing back.

But Tavian was gone.

She blinked again. The door they'd been standing in front of earlier was open now.
He must've gone in, she thought.
That jerk.

A few minutes later, Sun let go of her hand as they stopped in front of a door labeled Library.

Nyssa crossed her arms.

"What was that about?"she asked.

Sun smirked, brushing her hair behind her ear.

"Do you even know who you were talking to just now?"

Nyssa frowned. "Who? That guy?"

Sun let out a sigh.
"No. Me," she muttered, rolling her eyes.

Nyssa scoffed.

"Okay, seriously. Just say why you dragged me here. I need an explanation"

"Let's talk inside" Sun pointed to the library.

Without hesitation, Nyssa used her foot to push open the library door and walked in.

The place was huge. Like, stupidly huge. It could fit a whole country.

She stopped to take in the rows of shelves ahead filled with books.

A few students were around, reading quietly.

Sun walked past her, heading toward a specific direction.
Nyssa followed her.

Sun stopped in front of a shelf and ran her fingers across the spines of the books like she was looking for something. She finally pulled one out and walked toward a small table at the corner

Nyssa also grabbed the first book she saw and joined her, pulling out a chair.

She placed the book on the table and started tapping her finger on it, looking at Sun.

"You gonna talk now?"

Sun flipped a page without looking up.

"What were you saying to Tavian? That guy with the lollipop tattoo on his neck"

Nyssa sighed.
"He crushed my phone with his bike. I almost didn't recognize him because of the helmet he wore that day, but I saw the neck tattoo. That's how I knew it was him. Sounds dumb to recognize someone because of a tattoo, I know, but I'm sure it was him" she said.

"You still haven't answered my question" Sun said.

"I told him about the phone. That's it"

"He saw your face?"

Nyssa raised a brow.
"Did you see me wearing a mask when you dragged me off?"

Sun chuckled. "Funny girl"

"You remember the hotties I said live in Unit 9?" she asked.

Nyssa narrowed her eyes. "Yeah...?"

"He's one of them"

"So what? Is he dangerous? Like... a bad boy? Like one of those cold, messed-up types from books?"

Sun kept flipping through the pages.

"He's just off. Like, he never associates with anyone and nobody sees him much in school. He's too cold and people say he has been like that since a kid"

Nyssa mouthed a silent "Oh"

"So how does that explain you dragging me away?" she asked.

"So it doesn't explain it?" Sun looked at her.

"Maybe. Kinda doesn't" Nyssa shrugged.

"What I mean is... he's not the type you just walk up to and start talking to. Since I got here, I've heard too many warnings about him and I wouldn't dare go near. What if he's, like, a secret assassin or something?
Don't just go near him"

Nyssa kept listening.

"Everyone avoids him like the plague. Girls just crush on him from a distance including me. But lowkey? I wished to totally lose my third virginity to that guy"

Nyssa choked on a laugh. "Third?? Girl, what?"

Sun smirked.

Suddenly, Nyssa slowly leaned back in her chair, now having time to gather what she had just heard.

Everyone avoids him? He doesn't talk to people?
Wait, Is he even human?

Her eyes narrowed and then her jaw tightened.

But who cares if he might be an assassin?

He crushed her phone and he must pay for it. Period.

Sun was watching her, noticing how serious her face looked, like she was having a full-on conversation in her head.

Sun waved her hand in front of her face.
"Uh, hello? Earth to Nyssa?"

Nyssa blinked and finally looked at her. A slow smirk spread across her lips as she quickly leaned forward.

"You got his social media?"

Sun leaned back with a look that said, are you serious?

"Does that guy look like someone who'd have social media acc? I just told you he barely speaks to humans"

Nyssa shrugged, standing.
"Cool. I'll find another way"

Sun tilted her head, holding a curious look.

"Baby of the house, what are you trying to do now?"

But Nyssa was already walking away.

2:00 PM

Outside the lecture room, Tavian leaned against the wall beside the door, scrolling through his phone. Blue headphones covered his ears.

Students streamed out of the room, talking and laughing. Some gave him quick glances and some guys rolled their eyes as they walked past.

Nyomi stepped out, scanned the area and paused when she saw him.

Her heart jumped against her ribs.

Without hesitation, she went to him and stood right in front of him.

"Hey" she said softly but clearly.

No response.

She looked down at the book in her hands. Then held it out.
"You left this at the library. A few days ago"

Still nothing.

She bit her lip, watching him stare at his screen like she didn't exist.

Okay, seriously. Can someone tell him there's a living person standing in front of him? She thought, frowning a little.

Then her eyes drifted to the headphones and her lips parted slightly.

Still... even if he wasn't wearing them, he wouldn't have looked up anyway.

She sighed, pouting just a little but stayed where she was.

Minutes passed, ten of them.

She yawned, her legs starting to ache from standing.

She rubbed her eyes, feeling sleepy already.

Maybe having a quick standing nap wouldn't be that bad. She quickly closed her eyes.

On Tavian's phone, a message appeared.

From Mackenzie:

>You've got three clients today.

His eyes scanned the message. Then he locked the phone and finally pushed off the wall.

Without giving her a glance, he just turned to start walking away.

Seconds later, Zara came up beside Nyomi and tapped her shoulder hardly.

Nyomi flinched, her eyes snapping open and the book slipped from her hands, hitting the floor.

She turned sharply.

"Relax. It's just me" Zara said.

Nyomi quickly looked back. The spot where Tavian stood was now empty.

Gone.

She blinked hard, then glanced down the hall.

Jaw clenched, she bent down and picked up the book.

"You're on dinner duty today" Zara informed. "I updated the timetable after the new girl joined"

Nyomi kept her eyes on the floor. "Okay"

Zara didn't react and started leaving, muttering, "Let's go"

"Hmm" Nyomi followed slowly.

At the parking lot, Tavian straddled his bike, pulling on his helmet.

That feeling again. The feeling of eyes on him.
Not the ones from people passing by.

But he didn't bother checking. He just started the engine, It growled loudly to life.

Next second, he was gone.

Inside a silver car parked nearby, Nyssa sat in the backseat, a lollipop in her mouth as she watched him through the window.

She smirked.

She watched him speed off...reckless as always.

Without wasting time, she looked away and slid into the front seat, settling behind the wheel.

*

On the road, her hands gripped the steering wheel, but her eyes? Definitely not focused on driving.

Her gaze stayed fixed on the bike ahead, the way it sped.

She didn't rush to catch up...just drove steady, keeping enough distance to avoid suspicion but close enough not to lose him.

They kept going until they reached a quiet road with fewer cars now. Then till they landed in the area where there are none at all and only few people passed by

Up ahead, the bike turned into a narrow path.
Nyssa quickly slowed down and pulled over, leaning forward until the bike disappeared from view.

There was no way her car could fit in there.

Without thinking twice, she locked all the windows and doors, opened the door, and stepped out with her car keys in hand.

Then she sees him.

Tall. Too handsome. Messy brown hair that looks carelessly perfect. A lollipop tattoo on his neck, bold, strange, and somehow hot in the weirdest way.
His face? Almost bored, like nothing in the world could impress him.
And his lips.. pink? Red? Whatever. They look like sin. He doesn't even look real. He looks like temptation.

Funny. She used to roll her eyes at love at first sight.
Called it unreal and cringe.
Guess the joke's on her.
