Stephanie: Are you all hearing what the students are discussing on the student bulletin board?
Luna: Oh, absolutely, it has been a major topic for the previous two months.
Olivia: I’ve heard that students who were afraid to speak up about Sofie are now voicing their concerns on the bulletin board. And many more students are coming forward.
Jessie: Speaking of students coming forward, Olivia, have you also come forward?
Jenny: After you shared the truth 2 months ago in the basement, have you?
Olivia: As soon as they were arrested that day, I decided to post about it on the bulletin board. I did receive a lot of backlash, to be honest, but surprisingly, one of the few students who commented on my post was also threatened by Sofie if they didn’t vandalize Caroline’s locker. A handful of those students stepped out, and Sofie assigned them other tasks while I was the target because I was easy to manipulate.
Emma: I can’t believe all that happened 2 months ago, and now everything feels normal again. If only this were a dream and not reality.
[Luna pinches Emma's shoulder.]
Emma: Ouch, why did you do that, Luna?
Luna (laughing): You said you wanted this to be a dream, not reality, so I pinched you.
Jessie: Has anyone seen Eric and Caroline?
Stephanie: Are you talking about the lovebirds?
Jessie: Lovebirds? Did they start going out?
Emma: They certainly did! Following the incident two months ago, Eric and Caroline admitted their feelings for each other and began dating. I’m just glad to see my brother in a happy relationship.
Caroline: Hey girls, did I miss anything? Sorry, I was with Eric all morning because he keeps bothering me about how much he loves me.
Eric: Babe, you shouldn’t be telling them that. Why do you have to say it out loud? Now they know I’m such a bother to you.
Emma: Brother, sometimes you need to give a girl some space. She’s not going anywhere this time.
Jessie: Emma is right. After what happened, Caroline isn’t going anywhere.
Eric: But still, now that I’m more popular, I don’t want to lose her.
[The bell rings, and Caroline kisses Eric on the cheek before heading to her math class. Eric blushes, and the group notices and starts teasing him. Emma intervenes, telling her friends not to tease him; only she can. Everyone then heads to their respective classes.]
Stephanie: That's weird.
Jenny: What's weird?
Stephanie: They've already posted the article explaining why Sofie and her father were arrested, but there's more to the story.
Jenny: Show me.
[Jenny looks up the case and reads the article. She sends the link to Stephanie so that she can post it on the bulletin board. Stephanie receives the link from Jenny and posts it on the bulletin board. Almost instantly, everyone's phones begin to buzz. People start checking their phones, gasping and expressing shock all around. Silence falls as everyone is absorbed in reading the article.]
The article reported that a father and daughter became involved in a serious situation. The daughter has made claims against her school for bullying, while the father is accused of taking matters into his own hands. According to a testimonial from a student at the school, whose name we will not reveal, testified that Sofie hired a hitman to follow her home and monitor her movements, leading to an incident where she was severely injured. In addition to several posts on the school bulletin board, many students have shared their experiences with Sofie, describing her as manipulative and going too far, including using another student to damage a student's locker and spreading rumors about another student. In contrast, the father was shown as a protective figure who would go to any length to defend his daughter. He used to run one of the city's largest businesses until his wife left him due to infidelity. After discovering his cheating, she filed for divorce, and he gained custody of their daughter. Regarding this, the father was known to bribe the police whenever he faced legal issues. One police station revealed that Sofie's dad paid them a large sum of money to keep quiet about the situation. The police station disclosed that they had received multiple complaints about the father's unethical behavior, but they had always ignored them due to the massive quantities of money he would give. This news surprised many in the community, as they had always regarded the father as a respected and honorable member of society.
Stephanie: Who would have thought the harsh truth would be revealed during times like these?
Jenny: The negativity is behind us, Steph; let’s concentrate on the positive, bright future ahead of us.
Stephanie: You’re correct! Let’s concentrate on the positive aspects.
[The group of girls enjoyed many sleepovers, taking turns at each other's homes before graduating high school and heading to different colleges. Their senior year was unforgettable, filled with great memories. After graduation, they threw a sleepover party to celebrate, inviting Eric to join them. Olivia's parents left their prior jobs and got new ones, and she moved out of the apartment they never owned, relocating to a house with her parents' combined income and hers. Jessie left her old home to live with her older sister Josie, so she could be near her chosen college. Luna and Olivia went to the same college together while Luna gave Olivia free transportation. After Stephanie came out to her parents, they accepted her, and she went on to live a fulfilling life. Jenny became independent, landed her first job, and got her own apartment, which she occasionally shares with Stephanie. Emma attends a college far from home, returning to see her parents and brother once a year and during the holidays. Kyle eventually bought a house 10 streets away from her sister just to stay in touch, mainly using it as a vacation home. During this time, Kyle and Josie became friends, and months later, they started dating. Our lovebirds, Eric and Caroline, were recognized as the cutest high school sweethearts who everyone knew would be together forever. After graduation, they both chose to attend the same university to remain close and shared a house together.]
