"I'm sorry Marinette, he is not here. Well, he wouldn't be here for a week. He told me that he would be leaving for London today."

"We are running late Marinette,we should leave now," Noelle said gripping her shoulder lightly and leading her back to the car. She knew that she was in love with Adrien, she could see in her eyes. She also knew that Tom Dupain would not allow them to be together. She had to tell him - she had to pretend him for heartbreak but she could not bring herself to do that...because in all these years she had grown to care for him.

Meanwhile Marinette's mind was in turmoil. She could not shut out Adrien and Kagami's kissing figures. Question kept on popping into her mind- What if he falls for her? Would he ever give me a chance? She could not bring her Imagine a life without him. She was sure that she would not be able to love anyone else as much.

Marinette loved him and she was determined to have him. She was not going to lose him.

She thought turning for a moment to Misterbug. She wondered what would have if she had told  Misterbug about her love for him, when she first felt that feeling for him - What if had said those three words straight to his face? -would he have accepted her?

'Probably not, you would have just got rejected " said a voice from the back of her head.

But even at that time, a tiny portion of her had always loved Adrien. She remembered now those bursts of jealousy she felt when she saw him with Kagami. Little did she know that in a few minutes her dream would come crashing down. She had never asked her father's opinion about Adrien, there was no way he could know what her father would say, but still everybody liked Adrien, right?

The car reached its destination Marinette along with Noelle enerted the Dupain-Cheng Mansion or as Marinette felt it should be called-' The Dupain-Cheng Prison'. She saw Kaz talking to her father.
