Eunji didn’t move as slowly opened her eyes and took her time to see where she was. She glanced around to see she was in a car seat and she saw a small dreamcatcher hanging on the rearview mirror. ‘Rose’s suv…not moving.’ She thought.

She shifted her head to look out the window and saw they were still outside the Yuki mansion. She could see Rose and Haku standing at front doors and they were talking, Rose was still rubbing her temple. Next she spotted Maria and Lucy closer to the suv and Eunji’s ears could pick up what they were talking about.

“We were making out and she put her hand under my sweater.” Lucy said as she slightly blushed. “That is when she felt the scars. I panicked when she left the room as if she didn’t mean to make out with me.” Eunji could feel the pain in Lucy’s words and Eunji’s own heart sank.

“Then when you found out she was mad that someone had hurt you, you felt very aroused by that.” Maria smirked and Lucy turned bright red. Eunji noticed Lucy’s wolf tail came out and was swinging happily from Maria’s words.

Eunji smiled seeing the tail wagging but froze when it stopped and lowered. “When I was still human I wanted to date Eunji the moment she broke it off with her ex but…I didn’t want to be that kind of girl…” Lucy trailed off. “I also didn’t really know if Eunji thought the same thing.”

Maria put hand on Lucy’s shoulder and softly smiled, “Well now you know she’s into you as well.” Maria stated and Eunji noticed Maria quickly glance to suv then back to Lucy. “So what do you like about our little fox?”

Lucy brightened up and took in a deep breath, “Eunji is the cutest and kindest woman I have met. When I was homeless, after my parents threw me out, she didn’t overlook me, instead Eunji took me in and fed me until I got on my feet.” Lucy gushed and Eunji noticed that Maria flinched about Lucy’s parents throwing her out. “She could have cut me off the moment I got my own apartment but our bond deepened instead.”

“Why did your parents throw you out of your home?” Maria asked calmly and Eunji could see her whole body tighten up but Lucy didn’t notice it. Eunji noticed Maria’s thumbs hanging on her belt loops and clenched in white knuckle fists, instead of the relaxed fist she normally had.

“They told me it was because I was gay but I knew it was because they didn’t want to spend money to take care of me.” Lucy said with a bit of pain in her voice and waved her hand. “But I got over it and got myself a new family.”

Maria’s jaw loosened and relaxed her fists before cupping Lucy’s face. She made Lucy look down a bit before kissing Lucy’s forehead, “I promise to keep her safe.” Maria promised in Greek and Lucy just looked confused.

Eunji snickered from Lucy’s confused look and Lucy straightened up from it. Eunji sat up and she lowered the window as Lucy rushed over to the window. “Eun-’

Lucy was cut off from Eunji leaning out of the window and kissing her softly. Eunji could feel Lucy was caught off guard but recovered and returned the kiss back, happily. Eunji broke the kiss with a small smile, “I love you, Lucy.” She whispered in Greek.

Lucy was completely confused from the words and Eunji smiled in delight at her reaction. “It’s Greek, child, I suggest you learn it.” Haku’s voice said.

Lucy and Eunji jump as the old Lycan was standing a few steps away with a mischievous smile, which reminded Eunji of a fox. He waved Lucy over and Rose was walking around the front of the suv. Maria got in the back seat, tossing Eunji's coat into her lap, and Lucy stepped back to stand with Haku.

“Next time I suggest we have Lucy visit our pack mansion.” Rose said as she got in the driver seat. “Less likely to trigger our little fox.” Rose rubbed Eunji’s head before starting the suv. 

Eunji didn’t know where Haku pulled out the umbrella from and opened it up over his and Lucy’s head. “Agreed, until next time.” He gave a small bow to all of them.

“I'm counting the days!” Lucy beamed happily and waved to Eunji. Eunji returned the bow to Haku and Lucy’s wave before Rose used her master control to close the window as the rain started to come down. The two backed up as the suv started to move and Eunji kept looking at Lucy until she couldn’t see them.

“Well that was fun~” Maria said from the back seat and Eunji heard a tired sigh from Rose. Eunji sank in her seat from it and felt like it was aimed at her until Rose patted Eunji’s head.

“Not your freak out, we had thought that may have happened.” Rose said as she ruffled Eunji’s hair. “It was something in that meeting that got me…annoyed.”

Eunji felt more relaxed, feeling Rose’s warm hand and truthful words wash over her. Eunji was about to ask but Maria beat her to the punch, “Was it about not being able to find the origin of the Lyaic Drug or the fact Luna stopped a dealer from selling it in her territory?” 

Eunji perked up as she remembered that it was a drug that turned her and glanced back at Maria. Maria must have seen Eunji’s face had that ‘I have a question’ face that Maria gave a small and solid nod as if to answer ‘Yes, the drug that turned you and your friends’.

“Both, that damn drug is dangerous both to Lycans and humans.” Rose hissed and Eunji noticed her hands tightening on the wheel. Eunji felt worried Rose was about to rip the wheel out and throw it out the window.

“W-Why is it so dangerous?” Eunji asked and remembered a small bit of information about turning. “Isn’t it the normal way to turn a human to a Lycan is to that Lycan almost kills a human?”

Rose relaxed from Eunji’s question, “Yes, and in modern times there is a whole process like an interview to see if they would make a good Lycan. After that on the full moon the pack leader will turn the selected human.” Rose let out a sigh and Maria was silent when Rose got cut off this time.

Rose paused in case there were questions and when none came she continued. “If the turn is successful, the first day or two the new wolf sleeps while healing and when they wake they are hungry. They eat a lot of food before going into a coma to finish the shift returning them to their prime.” 

“It removes wrinkles, greying hair, or stretch marks from giving birth.” Maria added, causing Eunji back to her and about asking something but Maria giving a ‘shhh’ gesture with one finger. “After all that is done, they wake up hungry and ready for training.”

“Sounds like the first step is dangerous but the rest of it is easy.” Eunji said before pausing and seeing Rose’s grip on the wheel was still tight. “Is the drug that different and dangerous?”

The suv had stopped at a red light allowing Rose to close her eyes and take a deep breath before letting it out and opening her eyes. “The drug forces the human to turn into their Bipedal II form and they go berserk.” Rose stopped and looked to Eunji then back to the road. 

“Normally go berserk but you were curled up in the bathroom. Lucy protected the door to the bathroom and killed any human trying to escape to it.” Maria said to Rose and Eunji heard Maria shift in the back seat. “While Aaron and Jax were fighting Keith, we don’t know why, yet.”

Rose glanced at the back seat before returning to explaining, “After a few hours you returned to your human form in a coma and your body started to change like the sickness…your heart stopped thirteen times on the first night…” Inside a heavy silence fell and Eunji clutched her chest as if she felt her heart stop. Rose looked like she was in great pain from remembering the first night and her knuckles were turning white from her grip once more.

Eunji could feel her blood turn cold as she gripped her chest a bit more as if to restart it. She started to think about when she woke and with clearer understanding what she saw. Rose had a bit of a tired and sluggish movement compared to what Eunji knew Rose had.

“The second night, you ran a temperature of fourty-four celsius and your heart kept stopping, I lost count after fourteen. Third night you returned to normal and we feared you didn’t have your memory from all the times your heart stopped” Rose glanced at Eunji before putting her hand on Eunji’s head and Eunji leaned into it.

“The normal way can make one lose their memory temporarily but it’s a rarity that it happened.” Maria finally spoke up and Eunji glanced back to see Maria was sitting behind Rose now. 

Eunji relaxed feeling Rose’s hand on her and wanted to curl up between the two for some reason. Starlight made a small squeak in agreement at the emotion but went quiet just as quickly as she appeared as Eunji was still upset with her.

“You now know why the drug is so dangerous, and there is also another factor at play here, population control.” Rose said and ruffled Euni’s hair a bit. “The last thing the Lycan race needs is population boom, currently less than one percent of the world population is Lycan.” 

“A population boom of monsters is not on top of the list of things any of us want…most of us.” Maria said and waved her hand around. Rose nodded and relaxed as conversion got further from memory of Eunji’s change.

“Guessing Claude is one of those that wouldn’t mind a population boom?” Eunji asked and Maria smirked before letting out hearty laughter that Rose joined in soft chuckle.

“Claude is power hungry but he isn’t a complete fool,” Maria said once she calmed down and leaned forward to pet Eunji’s head. “But it's a good idea to stay away from him and his pack. By the way, it's called the Gevaudan pack and remember to avoid it.”

“Pompous bastard, naming his pack after that twisted Lycan.” Rose hissed before smirking. “Though that twisted Lycan got his when he went after Luna…”

“She showed him a true monster as his last memory.” Maria chuckled and sat back in her seat. Eunji could hear Maria start humming some kind of hymn that she never heard before but Eunji figured it was tied to her last words.
