“How?” Petalsoft asked, staring in disbelief, “I saw you die.”

“There's a reason that she called it the 'Regenesis System'.” The girl in the swivel chair said in response.

“But...” Petalsoft started, only to trail off, at a loss for words.

“The Regenesis part regenerated me inside of a crystal. She hadn't been entirely sure if this part of it would even work on those like us-”

“Because of the problems she was having integrating the Regenesis System with our biology as Star Born.” Petalsoft finished, wondering what else she hadn't been told.

The Regenesis System was what the Eiseros' Sword and Shield System and the Nyakka's War Assisance Framework was adapted from.

“Precisely.” The girl confirmed.

Intergrating the Regenesis System with Star Born physiology would be complicated at best, horrifically leathal at worst. It had been volunteers only for a list of good reasons. Petalsoft decided that she could understand the hesitation in telling any Star Born about it.

“So she stayed quiet about it.” Petalsoft said more to herself, than to any of those present.

“Yes... But it works." The girl said with a smile and a slight, though expressive, spread of her arms, "I'm proof positive of that.”

“So the Nyakka might not actually be extinct...” Petalsoft breathed, the realization of the implications fully hitting her.

“So it would seem.” The girl agreed, surprised at herself that she hadn't considered that angle.

“How has this effected your powers?” Petalsoft asked suddenly, concerned about any potential problems, though excited about the possibilities of what this could all mean for her people in the long term.

“Mmm... I'd say that they've evolved." The girl mused, "I can do both targeted and broad attacks now. Also, I have obscuring abilities.”

“What kind?” Petalsoft asked.

“Cloaking.”

“Oh. Nice.”

“I thought so. Also, before I forget; the lady in the dress and I are the only ones with actual armour.”

“You need my authorization to change the suits, don't you?”

“Yes! Exactly that. Rightrightright, uhm... My new name as of being reverted to a baby and adopted is Kliona Devnaht.”

“That's actually a pretty name.”

“Thank-you! I thought so too! Now about the new suit designs... I don't want to repeat our mistakes; in our absence the Hunters have managed to slander us among the Humans who know that there's more than just their kind on the planet, so... We have to consider...” Kliona sighed, “As stupid as it is... We have to look marketable.”
