"This is our guest room, you'll be staying here until you can finally go home," Linthéa said, switching on the lights of the second room by the end of the hall.
The space like the others is big and colored with dirty white walls making it brighter in the day. A rectangular window with cerulean curtains is situated inches above the mint blue colored bed with matching pillows and blanket. There's also a small grey bookcase placed on the left side of the room with five books in store and beside the door to the right stood a tall wooden cabinet and with a mirror inside.
It prompted Kale to think how rich they are just by their house alone.
"I'll just leave you to sink in all what happened, after all you must be really tired" Linthéa warmly smiled at him, exhaustion is slowly weighing both of them down.
She took one last look around the room before turning to open the dark spruce door.
"Lina...I mean Linthéa" Kale rephrased his words after giving her a nickname he didn't even thought about more so never planned on using. Linthéa herself was shocked but it's only evident in her tired eyes and inquired back with a confused look, her hand still holding the knob, "What is it? Is there something you need?" she raised an eyebrow.
"Thank you..." He bowed his head down before raising it up again and gave her a small tug of smile from his lips, a sincere one, "Don't worry about it, I'm glad to help!" The woman was stunned to hear him utter those words since all day he's focused on hitting on her but took hold of her composure and replied with a cheery tone before slipping out of the room and closing the door behind her, leaving Kale in his train of thoughts about his future plans.
Tiredly, the man brushed up his ivory white hair and climbed the bed, leaving his body be caressed by the coldness of soft sheets.
Feeling comfortable after a couple of turns, Kale laid down with his body facing the ceiling above, 'I don't need sleep, I need plans' but before he could start his hypothesis, his eyes drifted off to sleep.

Linthéa looked above the starry night sky of her beloved city which is surprisingly quiet than the usual loud noise. Tall dark buildings and the looming shadows of flying saucers which decreased in number signaled that Icycilis will now rest for the night.
The dark background of the night with billions of stars in the sky provided her comfort as she pondered so much about that young man and the past 'He has a very familiar face that I know of but I can't exactly remember...' She thought hard, taking a look in her memories from the past years 'Oh! He must be that one that I met 8 years ago!' her mind exclaimed in victory upon finally remembering.
'Of course he is! He must be! 8 years is enough to change him, the name, the tone of speaking, the features, THAT is definitely the boy you met 8 years ago' her inner thoughts began to ramble and cleared her doubt. She felt her heart above her soft breast and shook her head with a grimace, "Ah not this again".
Linthéa was glad that he was alive after the great purge that wiped out his clan. She was happy but then remembered their last encounter before that resulted in a painful memory which continuously haunts her. Remembering the past was not a good idea as she once again sulked upon the absence of her parents.
"Jiejiee, what are you doing up there on the rooftop? It's already 11 midnight! "Xiuying shouted in a hushed voice climbing up the plain rooftop which was barricaded by strong metal railings with small bushes of plants placed around by the middle daughter for design and her hobby of taking care of them.
"You were thinking about something, are you?"
"Yeah...I was..."She sighed, "You know, it would be better to have Mom and Dad with us to watch the stars "Xiuying looked pained but nevertheless hugged her sister by the side.
Among the three of them, the middle princess was hurt the most about the King and Queen's death and planted a grudge in her heart that continuously grew which they are trying to suppress.
"Jiejie, we've been through this....Mom and Dad sacrificed their lives to save us, we can at least honor their will by living happily" the younger sister spoke with seriousness in her tone as she caress Linthéa's back, "I missed them too and I know it crushed you greatly..but you have to be strong and keep moving forward. Brother also told me about this and I'm asking you sis, don't hold it all in and let us share your pain too"
Xiuying leaned her head on her sister's side and closed her eyes hoping it would reach her.
"Thank you Ying, I'll be fine" Linthéa landed a gentle touch on her little sister's cheek that persuaded her eyes to open. The older sibling first stood up then guided her sister, brushing their clothes from dirt and headed to the hatch of the stairway.
Xiuying shook her head knowingly, looking at her sister as she climbed down the stairs, " Liar"
