"C'mon, read it again!"
"Dude, why do I constantly have to read this for you? Did you forget how to read on your own?"
"I can't…I just can't…anytime I reach a juicy part I just melt~!"
Henry rolled his eyes, scrolling up the page of X-Kwass to read the newest article for the third time today. As usual the writing of this article was ruthless and near apathetic, even though it covered such a terrible tragedy. The murder of two women at the Neapolitan mansion, it was the hottest topic in town right now. Day after day Henry would hear hushed whispers about a supposed killer having come back, or something more ludicrous, a certain rumor that's been spreading because of the exact article they were reading.
"…One of the women had her body emptied and played around with, while the other had her veins completely drained."
Michael shivered, his fingers wiggling and jiggling anytime Henry got to the parts where it got especially gruesome.
Eventually Henry reached the juiciest part, one that his cousin, Lucia, would kill him for if he were to admit that he sort of believed in it. "…The prime suspect was a young girl that you might know well. The anti-social princess who scowls at anyone that crosses her path, the blonde with a bombshell body, the rich psycho: Sieglinde Neapolitan. All the doors of the mansion were locked from the outside, which OBVIOUSLY means it had to be someone on the inside. It seems unlikely for one of the maids to kill another maid…on top of that, the bodies were found in her room. Suspicious, suspicious."
"Suspicious, suspicious, my ass!" Lucia yelled as she slammed the laptop closed. "I can't believe you guys are actually believing this complete and utter garbage!"
The masked boy raised his arms as a sign of peace, hoping to calm down the raging bull girl before she stomps her hooves down his every orifice. "Wow- Calm down, Lucia!" With every attempt he took to step away he was followed until Henry found himself in the corner of the computer room. Michael had took cover under a table as to not accidentally aggro Lucia onto himself. "It's not like we believe it…Just…Y'know…From what I heard she really was the only one left aside from you and that transfer student. It's not like you two did it, right?"
"Of course it wasn't us, wanna know why? For the same exact reasons Lin couldn't possibly be the killer!" She turned her head with a swift motion, her braids slapping against Henry's eyeballs. "She's just a girl, Henry. Just because she's stronger than any of you boys doesn't make her a murderer."
"Huh?! This isn't some sexism thing!" Michael argued as he slowly raised his head from under the table. "The reason we believe Lin did it is because she always gave off secret serial killer vibes! I'd never accuse just any kinda cute girl of doing this, only our blonde psycho!"
Lucia kicked her foot full force against Michael's forehead, leaving the computer room with a bloodied shoe. She checked the halls for anyone walking outside, luckily they were empty. She hurried to the girls bathroom to meet with Ichigo and Lin…and also to wash the blood off her shoe.
"They're talking about that website again, huh?" Ichigo asked as she stroked Lucia's back. From behind her Sieglinde scoffed. "Lin's been pretty mad about it too…"
After the shoe was clean Lucia let it lay in the sink, hopping onto the sink counter with her head hanging low. "I don't get it, how could they accuse Lin when…when we know who really did it."
"We do?…Ahh, that…Wait, so you do believe in The Wolf after all? I thought you said he was a myth?"
Sieglinde raised a brow. "Ichigo, you were the one trying to convince us all weekend that he is not only real but also back in town…Even though you don't know a single thing about that whole ordeal still!"
"Yeah, but until now you still treated me like I had pants on fire. Do you both believe it now?"
Sieglinde and Lucia shrugged, recounting the weekend that had led them to give into Ichigo's theory.
After the three girls were caught by the cops they were promptly kicked out of the crime scene. Sieglinde was taken aside by the officers for questioning, but since they didn't believe a child could've killed two grown women she was let go. They didn't find any glaring evidence that it was Lin either, despite what the X-Kwass entry says she was actually NOT the prime suspect of the case.
The Neapolitan mansion had been closed off, meaning Sieglinde could not go home. To make things worse, her parents still couldn't come home due to airport troubles. No way did she want to tell the police about that though, they'd sent her straight into some neglectful childcare facility. Ichigo was the one to suggest that she could just stay over at Luc's place, since Lucia's mom was out often she probably wouldn't even notice that Lin would be staying there.
It was true, they didn't have to worry about Lucia's mother at all…they had to worry about the pink haired invader.
Over the course of the entire weekend, Ichigo would go on and on about her suspicions and theories for how The Wolf could've broken in without being seen. What the organs on the paintings mean. Why he killed those two women specifically…Sieglinde couldn't even go down and grab a glass of apple juice without Ichigo sneaking close and rambling about yet another theory.
She was obsessed with The Wolf.
…Even though she very clearly had no idea who The Wolf was or what he even did exactly. Why the town even calls the killer "The Wolf" at all.
"You're acting like a fanatic over someone you don't even know about. Did you read up on him on X-Kwass at least?" Sieglinde asked, to which Ichigo shook her head. "So you're seriously that interested just because your aunt told you he exists?…"
"I could know multiple things about him!" Ichigo spouted with a pout. "If only you two would finally tell me something!"
Lucia sighed, wanting to avoid revisiting the past but considering she's starting to believe it was his work as well…"Fine, I'll tell you." She waved Ichigo close, to which the pink haired girl bent down to sit on her knees. She looked up at Luc with awaiting eyes, clearly excited to hear the story.
"Are you sure you want to talk about it?" Sieglinde asked before Lucia started speaking. "You really don't have to. You were hurt by him the most after all…"
Lucia shook her head. "The ones who were hurt most…were the innocents he killed."
Among the innocent ones, one was missed the most by everyone. Lucia's father, Lukas Archer.
