Silas leaned against the bar, sipping from a smooth glass full of dark red liquid. The black soft fabric of his dress stretched around his lean body, hugging his natural curves and exposing his back and long pale legs to the sweaty atmosphere. Fangs graced his parted black lips as the drink slid down his throat, music blasting overheard with a crowd dancing behind him. The entire space was dark, but the dance floor has an overlay of various colors from the ever changing LED lights to the ceilings. The vibrations of the music surrounded him, just barely masking the dull footsteps behind him.
"You alone tonight?" A deep voice asked while sliding an arm around his waist, but Silas didn't even flinch at the unwarranted physical contact.
Instead, he took another sip of his drink, the metallic taste with a hint of alcohol burning his throat as he threw a glance at the man beside him. Even without the black heels on his feet, Silas was far taller than the stranger, the man only coming up to his chest. Silas's sharp, slanted red eye narrowed as he had to look down in order to take in the sight of the man smirking up at him.
The man appeared to be in his early forties with slight wrinkles around the mouth and around his eyes. He had a mustache and light beard coating his face that matched the same color of his hair-brown. The older man certainly was dressed to impress, being fitted in a form-fitting black suit with a matching pair of smooth shiny black shoes. However what really caught Silas's attention was the stranger's striking green eyes which currently were fixated on Silas, almost unblinking as he took in his every move-unconsciously reminding the young vampire of a predator eyeing its prey.
"Why do you want to know?"
Silas smoothly asked back, finally placing his now empty glass down with a 'thud' while sliding his body away from the stranger's arms. He could feel the heavy gaze trailing his form the entire time he moved, specifically focusing on his fangs as he talked.
"Not very nice, are you?" The man chuckled, moving to lean against the bar, the smooth fabric of his suit brushing against Silas's legs and hips." That's fine. It's not like your kind is known for being saints."
They hardly got started, and he's already bringing up the vampire race? My what a gentleman, Silas sarcastically thought to himself while his fingers twitched against his glass. He couldn't afford to give into his urges, not in public, at least but even more so since he hasn't completed his task yet.
"My kind, huh?" Silas played along, keeping the heat out of his voice and instead forcing some amusement into his tone.
It was all a game after all, he knew he was being tested by the older man and Silas was determined to win. If he didn't...well he didn't have a backup plan so this needed to go well. There was no room for failure, mistakes maybe but certainly not failure.
"Yes, that's right but don't worry I'm not scared baby." He leans closer, his hungry gaze looking directly into his eye. "I'm experienced in handling vampires like you."
"Is that so?" Silas almost rolled his eyes but instead raised a brow, keeping up the eye contact while leaning closer, blinking slowly at him. "And what makes you think I'm interested in your offer?"
Silas reached out to trace the veins on the man's neck with his black painted fingernail tip as he questioned him. He could feel the warm blood swimming underneath his flesh, the steady beat of his heart bumping against his finger. Silas could already imagine the beat speeding up against his skin while the rest of his fingers wrapped around the fragile neck tightly-
The man gently but firmly grabbed his hand, snapping Silas out of his fantasy, pulling it away from his neck while chuckling and shaking his head. It was then when Silas detected movement from the corner of his eyes before realizing the older man was pulling something out of his pocket with the other hand.
"Perhaps this would pique your interest, hm?"
Silas's gaze slowly moved down to the extended hand, his eyes widening slightly at the wad of cash resting in Wallace's soft palm, wrapped tightly in a rubber band.
"Well," His eyes snapped up, his natural downturn lips curling into a sharp smirk. "You certainly have my attention now, Mr..?"
"Just call me Wallace." Wallace grinned, shoving the money back in his pocket before pulling Silas close. "And don't worry baby, I don't need your name. I would rather focus more on your...company if you will."
It seems like the world is working in Silas's favor for once. It would be just his luck if he actually needed to use his alias's name and someone happened to overhear. The less he leaves behind of himself during this job, after his duty the less clean up there would be. Though a certain blue haired woman would be disappointed to know Silas never was given the opportunity to use the name she helped pick out for him.
"That works just fine for me." Silas chuckled, pressing his body against Wallace, his breath against the older man's neck as he lowered his face to whisper in Wallace's ear. "So where are we taking this party, hm? The bathroom-"
"I was actually thinking about taking you home." Wallace interrupted while wrapping his arms around his waist again, his breath tickling his chest. "My roommate is out of town tonight, so my place is available. I'm sure you would prefer a nice soft clean bed over a dirty bathroom, anyway?"
Silas merely laughed in response, his fingers twitching against the fabric of Wallace's shirt before pushing himself off of Wallace with a sultry smile, his fangs fully exposed in the air.
"Well then, let's get going shall we? I'm sure you're eager to get start-"
"Before we leave, let's have one more drink for the road." Wallace cut him off while gesturing towards Silas's empty glass with a closed eye smile.
