“Daniella is a very slow driver,” A familiar male voice and Eunji’s eyes locked on the very large man, Aaron Murphy. Eunji felt her eyes dilated before rushing him and jumped towards Aaron with wide arms.

Aaron easily caught her and spun around while hugging Eunji. Eunji let out a giggle and once done Aaron let her down gently. “Is Jax and Keith with you guys?” Eunji asked to look past Aaron to see if the other two were getting out of the car.

Aaron’s smile faded and looked uncomfortable in the question. “I was told there were going to be all three new male wolves and two other pack members.” Alina said and shot a glance at Daniella.

Daniella shrugged, “Jaxy and Keith got in a fight last night and for safety reasons they were put in time out in different silver rooms.” Eunji remembered that the silver room was a silver cage with a bedroom built around it. “Jax had calmed down but he was ordered to stay in the room until Keith calmed down too.”

“That explains only you and Aaron showed up.” Alina sighed before walking to her vehicle. “Alright I’m driving, I would like to get there before super, Pups in back seats.”

Everyone piled into Alina’s escalade and Eunji glanced at Aaron, who sat behind Daniella. “So what was the fight about?” Eunji asked as she leaned towards Aaron. She didn’t bother to whisper as everyone in the vehicle had sharper hearing than any human.

“Keith said…” Aaron trailed off and that uncomfortable look reappeared on his face. “He said things I never wish to repeat and Jax got offended by his words. They had words and before I knew it I was pinning both of them to the ground.”

“You broke it up?” Eunji could hear the disbelief in Alina's voice, as well see Alina’s raised brow in the rear view mirror and side eye to Daniella. “That is normally done by older pack members.”

“Aaron is a warden breed and they were alone in the pack garage when it happened.” Daneilla sighed and waved one of her hands around. “Aaron was working on his van, Jax was painting one pack cars, and Keith was just hanging around…also Lycan’s need to go pee too.”

“Mrs. Dmitriev thought it would be good to keep our hands busy but she has been having a hard time finding something for Keith to do.” Aaron interjected and Eunji saw him glance at Eunji. “A warden breed is a kind of peace maker in packs and ultra rare to have.”

“Their kind of opposite of guardian breed, Guardians protects the pack from outside threats and Wardens protect the pack from inside when the pack leader is busy.” Alina noted Aaron's words and tapped the wheel. “So Keith waited until you went to the bathroom to stir shit up?”

Daniella let out a tired sigh, “Yes, he has been trouble for the pack. What Aaron and Jax told us he was a good guy before the change…” She trailed off to glance back to Eunji. “Well they also mention he was starting to be a bit off when Eunji became single…I think he was hiding his true face.”

“Are you thinking the change and the power it came with removed that mask?” Alina asked and Daniella huffed in agreement as sank into her seat. Alina glanced in rear mirror to look at Eunji before saying, “Another reason random turning is a bad thing.”

Eunji had the feeling that Rose had told Alina that Eunji was given information about the reason why the drug was dangerous and Eunji didn’t disagree with this thought after finding out her own heart stopped several times. “Agreeed, by the way, where are we going?”

“Going to the mall to get some new clothing. As well as public training for new wolves.” Daniella said and Eunji moved to grab the hard case under Alina’s seat. “Do you have troubles with noise?”

“Too much noise can give me sharp headaches, which can make Starlight fussy and that makes the headache worse,” Eunji said and felt Daniella give her understanding nod. “Do you need anything like that, Aaron?”

“No, my wolf, Conall, is often asleep and only comes up when something happens between pack members.” Aaron tapped his temple and Eunji smirked. “He is a bit of a lazy bones and knows it’s smarter for me to be in control most of the time.”

“Lucky you, Starlight is a bit more fussy and feels like she wishes to bite me.” Eunji huffed as put the orange headphones around her neck. “That’s if there isn’t a kitsune nearby or a big scary Adlet that everyone calls ‘The nightmare that other monsters have’.”

Eunji could hear happy huff when her wife was mentioned and Danielle seemed to shrink into her seat once more mentioning Luna. “That’s right, Mrs. Dmitriev mentioned you were an even rarer breed, a Kumiho.” Aaron said as Eunji could see him remembering that fact.

“Rare breed doesn’t even cover it, try extinct. The last one was seen during the first Opium war era.” Daniella said as rose back up in her seat and she spun around in her seat to look at Eunji. “No wonder Juno was stubborn about you being in her pack. She was greatly saddened whenever she heard we lost a breed of lycan.” 

“Some breeds are from special bloodlines and Kumiho were not well known for having children with humans.” Alina turned into the parking lot of the mall. “They have a bad habit for…well eating humans or…worse.”

“Great, I haven’t gotten to that part about my breed just yet.” Eunji muttered and rubbed the bridge of her nose. “Though I should have remembered those stories my grandma told me about monsters from the old country.” 

Alina found a parking spot and once she turned off the vehicle everyone got out of it. “No more talk about Lycan business,” Alina said before everyone left the vehicle and once out she locked the vehicle with one button press. 

Eunji walked beside Aaron as they followed the two older Lycan in front of them, “I thought your van was completely ready for a road trip,” Eunji said as she remembered Aaron’s joy on the last day they were human. She saw Aaron face sour before letting out a groan as covered his face.

When he removed his hands from his face, “Four days parked in that part of town…I’m lucky it is still there…though I wish it wasn’t there.” Aaron sighed and Eunji raised a brow. “It was on cylinder blocks with only the frame and two doors were on it.”

Eunji cringed and gently patted Aaron’s shoulder. “Well you got a lot of time to work on it now.” Eunji gave him a cheeky smile and Aaron just let out a loud and exaggerated sigh before ruffling Eunji’s hair.

Eunji was sitting on a big comfy lounge chair that had a big enough arm for her to be comfortable on it, and Aaron was sitting in the main seat of the chair. Daniella was in the change room in front of them and Alina was mouthing off at an overzealous mall cop.

The mall cop had been tailing them after their second clothing store stop. The first was for suits and semi-formal clothing and Alina told them it was more for gala or important meetings, not everyday wear. The second was more for Aaron as the clothing store was more tall and big  people and the store owner seemed to know Alina, which made sense with how tall Luna was.

The third store was more general clothing and no shame if they get torn up from an accidental change. Eunji had already picked out and tried on all sorts of clothing before Alina got fed up with the tailing mall cop. 

“So…have you hit on Daniella yet?” Eunji finally asked and took Aaron second to register the question and turned bright red. “I mean she’s your type…” Eunji making hand gestures about Daniella's huge breasts. “I mean they are bigger than my head.”

Aaron was about to say something but Daniella poked out her head, “Oh he swung and hit a home run,” She said with a playful smile and Eunji could feel herself make a foxish smile. “And kept hitting home runs ever since~” 

“Oh really?” Eunji asked and Daniella’s head returned into the change room. Aaron was blushing deep red and sank into the chair. She could smell the embarrassment and slight arousal coming off Aaron.

Eunji was about to say something but let out a yelp as Aaron gently elbowed her leg and it was enough to tip Eunji off her perch. If she was human she would land on her back but she was able to quickly change it so she did a quick semi flip and landed on her feet.

She stood up straight and saw Aaron had moved to grab her but stopped as when she did her little flip. “Nice landing.” Aaron said and gave her a small clap. 

“Better than the last one, but that out second story window.” Eunji said as she returned to her perch and she could see the surprise on his face, then it shifted to worry on his face. “Complete accident, I leaned on a window that had a bad latch holding it closed.”

His face and shoulders relaxed from her words and started to think, “Don’t be fooled by Daniella’s stoner act.” Aaron said and Eunji raised a brow at his words. “The weed she smokes doesn’t leave her high for long.”

Eunji looked to the changing room and could feel Daniella had stopped moving in the room. “Her change has left her in constant pain and the weed she smokes dulls it.” Aaron continued and waved his hand a bit. “She’s like us, forced to be changed and the reason why she was assigned to us.” 

Daniella started to move once more and Eunji nodded. “That makes sense…” Eunji paused. “Another reason she is your type is that she is older than you too.”

Aaron blushed, “I didn’t hit on her because of those reasons and I wasn’t the one that swung first.” He said and cleared his throat while crossing his arms. “That’s all you're getting out of me, I’m not one to talk about private matters in public places…unlike Keith."

Eunji paused at his words before going to her feet. “I need the bathroom.” She said that a little louder than normal.

Eunji saw Alina glance over her shoulder and Eunji nodded to her before starting walking to the mall bathrooms. Before she got a few steps away she heard Daniella poke her head out once more, “Aaron, sweetheart, mind helping me with this bra~” She said.

Eunji looked back with a foxish smile to Daniella and saw Daniella had lustful eyes while looking at Aaron. Eunji giggled as she could imagine Aaron's completely embarrassed face and trying to find his words.

The walk to the bathrooms was short as she only had to walk past three stores and turned down an empty mirror hall. The bathrooms didn’t have main doors and only sharp turns that hid away the toilets and sinks. She really didn’t need the bathroom and just needed a small breather.

She took off her jacket to tie around her waist and looked at her bridal long gloves she still wore in public. She slipped the gloves off slowly and looked into the mirror. Eunji touched the scars on her forearms and let out a loud sad sigh.

Starlight stirred and Eunji tried to ignore her fox as she tucked the ends of gloves in her pants pockets. She turned on the cold water and splashed her face with cold water. The water felt good on her warm face and Starlight did growl lowered to almost a purr. 

“Stop that.” She whispered and pointed to the mirror. She half expected Starlight to snap back but the purring stopped and Eunji sighed. “Thank you.”

Eunji got some paper towels to dry off her face and hands. She slipped her gloves to cover up the scars on her arms. “Back to the store.” She muttered to herself and closed her eyes as walked out of the bathroom.

She didn’t open them as used her other senses and memory to guide her as slicked her fingers through her hair. “Eunji?” A familiar male voice called out to her and made a stop in the mirror hallway. The hair on the back of her neck rose up and Starlight rage raised up along with Eunji’s own rage. 

Eunji spun around and her eyes opened to see the man that forced this new life on her, “Johnny.” Eunji hissed loudly and full of spite she could pull out.
