Chapter- 2: There isn't a rule that says no pvp!

An AI woman appears on the screen as she smiles and flies around.

“Hello there, user! Welcome to 'Traverse'! A world full of wonder where any wish can come true! To get started on your fantasy world adventure, please enter your username!“

I blink a few times, adjusting my headphones as my hand goes to my mouse and types in,

I grin, leaning back in my seat. Satisfied with my gamer name. I kinda suck at naming soo… can't blame me now can ya?

The AI opens up a pop up box, showing either a male avatar or a female avatar.

“Hello, Rise_West! Please, select your base avatar for this game!“

I stare at the base avatars. I mean…I could go for male but, usually in games there's a buff for starter female avatars. And that could help me out a lot. I smirk as I drag my mouse to the female avatar and select it.

The AI smiles as she turns around, twirling.

“Great! You can now customize your in-game character to what you want it to look like and select your class! That's all from me, Ru-Ru out!“

And with a pop, she disappears into the void. I get slightly taken aback by that but that means there are a lot more players on this platform so they need to use all of their AI to accommodate the other players.

I chuckle, shaking my head as i look back at my screen. I drag my mouse to the hair, making it flowy red, and hunter type clothes and boots. Basic. But what else can I do? I'm a beginner after all. I tap on the 'mage' class and click on the 'ready' button when I'm done.

A calming music plays in the background, and my avatar stands there, stunned. It's really as hyejin said… this game is… a real 5 star game.

The starting point, where all beginners join, the first floor level, Salvin Town. Everything looks so realistic, that if you had a low gaming pc, it would crash immediately. That's how crazy good this game looks.

I walk around, mesmerized by the scenery I blink a few times, unable to form words.

“Damn. I'm glad I have a good pc for this.“ I murmur, still in awe.

The trees rustle, a bunny rushes out from the bushes and I nearly step on it as I stumble back.

“Woah! Close one!“

I regain my footing, standing upright as I see the town full of players and I twitch… I've never seen these many players in a server before. It's kind of… exciting.

I jump down from the hill, using a air spell to soften my landing as I look at all the players engaging. There are a lot of events going on, and especially the burner event for female characters. That's why I chose this avatar.

I smile as I type in the general chat box for the server.

“Hi! I'm Rise_West!“ I send.

“Heya, Risey~! Wanna meet?“

I blink a few times, a response? That quick? And it's from a male avatar dude at that… I check the user. 'CYNIX' damn, all caps? Sounds like a cool name tho I guess. I reply back,

“Uh, sure-?“

I move my mouse to 'accept' and suddenly a male avatar with shiny blonde hair and warrior type, princey clothes and a sword on his waist appears infront of me. I narrow my eyes.

'This shit is too bright.' I think to myself.

CYNIX grins as he suddenly takes out his sword and instant kills me.

I freeze, my hands frozen still on my mouse. What. The. Fuck. The moment I join into this game I die? Just die? I growl as I angrily type.

“Dude, wtf was that for?!“ 

CYNIX chuckles as he does a emote on my dead avatar.

“I don't like pick-me-girls. And besides,” he pauses.

I stare up at him, shocked. While he grins, and turns around.

“There isn't a rule that says no pvp~”
