Savoured Embrace

Oct 16, 2025

Luke returned from work, went upstairs to freshen up, and then came back downstairs. Lisa was chattering excitedly about her day with the elite daughters-in-law, her voice bubbling over with stories and gossip, Luke listened quietly. After dinner, Luke began to head back to his room, but Lisa suddenly grabbed his hand, her grip gentle but firm.

He turned to her, his expression questioning, as he stood silently with Lisa holding his hand. "What do you want, Lisa?" Luke asked, his tone tinged with impatience. Lisa continued to hold his hand, her voice taking on an innocent tone. "I don't want anything, I'm just being nice to my husband," she said, her eyes looking up at him with a guileless expression.

But then her tone shifted, and she added, "But since you've asked me, I would like to take your SF90 for a drive." Luke's eyes widened in surprise, his eyebrows shooting up. "My Ferrari SF90? No," he said, his response swift and decisive.

Lisa tried to persuade Luke with her facial expression, her eyes pleading and persuasive. When that didn't work, she shifted tactics. "Okay, join me to watch my show then," she suggested, her voice hopeful. But Luke refused, releasing his hand from hers. Lisa felt a pang of defeat and gently went to watch her show, trying to hide her disappointment.

Minutes later, Luke came downstairs and sat down beside her. Lisa's face lit up with excitement. "You came just in time," she said, smiling up at him. Moments later, Luke turned to her, his eyes fixed on the screen where a racing video was playing. "Is this what you want to do with my car?" he asked, his tone skeptical. "You have yours, do it with yours," he said.

Lisa tried to explain, "But my car isn't an SF90..." Luke got up, took a few steps, but then turned back to her. "It's going to be under supervision," he said, his voice firm, as he walked away. Lisa's excitement burst forth, and she yelled out, "I must be the luckiest wife right now!" her voice filled with joy and triumph.

The camera panned across the studio, capturing the bright lights and the eager audience, before focusing on Lisa, who sat poised and confident in front of the journalist. The interview had been going smoothly, with Lisa answering questions about her life as a Wilson and her experiences as a public figure. But then, the journalist's tone shifted, her questions taking on a slightly pointed edge.

"Your marriage to Mr. Luke came as a shock to the public, coupled with the fact that you are not known and from a small background," the journalist said, her voice dripping with a hint of skepticism. "What can you say about that?" she asked, her eyes narrowing slightly as she waited for Lisa's response. The studio fell silent, the audience holding its collective breath as they waited for Lisa's answer.

Lisa smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she noticed where the question was leading. She knew the journalist was trying to trip her up, but she wasn't having it. "Miss..." she sauntered a bit, pretending to search for the journalist's name, "Amanda, that's a nice necklace you have around your neck," she said, her gaze drifting to the journalist's neck.

The journalist's eyes widened slightly, taken aback by the sudden change in subject. "Well, that necklace is gotten for $50,0000, and it's usually sold to a certain class," she replied, her voice tight with annoyance. Lisa's smile grew wider, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "You must really have a nice pay here, or should I get employed here, since I am from a small background," she said, her words laced with a subtle jab.

Lisa knew that a journalist like Amanda couldn't afford such an expensive necklace on her own salary, and she suspected it was a gift from someone. The journalist's face grew red with embarrassment, and she struggled to comport herself, realizing she had been exposed. Lisa's smile turned mischievous as she watched the journalist's discomfort, enjoying the sudden role reversal..
