Next morning I woke up. Brush my teeth and get ready to leave. Mathew wakes up. 

“Bye I’ll see you later.” I whispered.

“Can you bring me the enchiladas you said your mom was going to make?” He mumbled in his morning voice. 

“Yeah.” I walk over and kiss him. 

“Let me get up, I'll take you, don't order a ride.” He already knew what I was going to do when I pulled out my phone. 

He gets up, brushes his teeth and changes into clothes. He always sleeps in his underwear or naked. Mathew pops his head out to hear if anyone was up. It was still quiet. It was pretty early, still only 8 am. We walk out and head straight to his garage. Once at my house he gives me a kiss. 

“Someone can see.” I told him. He kisses me again softly.

“No. Who cares? Kiss me.”  I kiss him back. We stop and I get out. I keep looking at him smiling. When I hear a door open.  It comes from a car parked behind Mathew’s truck. I look over and see my cousin getting out with her mom. She opens the back door and gets something off the seats. I look back at Mathew but he doesn’t get the hint to drive off. Still waiting till I go inside. My cousin starts walking to me with her mom. 

“Hey.” She gets close to me.

“Hey.” I replied. 

I wave at Mathew and he gets the hint to go. Mathew waves back and she waves to him and he leaves. 

“Where were you?“ She asked me. Looking at me with a slight smile. 

“Oh I stayed at his house because we had smoked with a few of the guys.” I told her hoping she wouldn’t think anything of it. “Don’t tell my mom. She just thinks I slept over.“

“Obviously.” She replied and laughed. 

We enter my house and I say hi to my mom. We went to my room. I didn’t realize I was still wearing one of his sweaters. I take it off and change while she looks the other way. Hoping she didn’t notice how huge it fit me. 

“Damn you're so lucky being around him. How don’t you get nervous.” She joked. 

I just ignore her and finish changing. 

“I remember him in elementary school and he was new and no one cared about him. Now he’s who everyone wants to be with or be.“ 

“Oh yeah. You like him or what?” I teased her knowing she has a crush on Troy. 

“Like him? Nope. But I would smash.”

I start getting some of my things I am taking to the amusement park. “I would ask if you want to come but the car is full already.” I told her. 

“It’s cool. You should have told me earlier that Troy was going I would have driven myself.” We leave my room and I ask my mom to make a plate I can take to Mathew. I told her my friend wanted to try them and she happily obliged. I left and drove to Mathew’s house. We agreed to meet there. 

I got there after everyone else had gotten there. We all met by Mathew’s truck he had parked in his driveway. He had one of those round driveways so we all parked in the circle. Mathew came out and walked over. I handed him the plate and he started to eat. Then Troy, Stephane and Nina get mad that I only brought him some and not them. Also Mathew didn’t want to share. I told them we could just stop by and get more. 

We got in the truck all packed. Once we get to my house Mathew and I get off. He follows me inside. When he entered my cousin almost choked. We walked and entered the kitchen. 

“Mathew, this is my mom and aunt.” I said. 

“Mom and aunt, this is my friend Mathew.” I told them in Spanish. I think he understood that I said friend and he said hi to them. 

I told them how they wanted more and to make three more plates. 

“Wow I didn’t know you had such handsome friends.” My aunt giggled.  

“What did she say?” Mathew asked me. 

“That you’re handsome.” I told him. Mathew just smiled and said thank you. I could see them gushing and falling for his charm like everyone else does. My cousin just watched as she ate her food.

“Ask him if he wants more.” My mom told me in Spanish. 

“She wants to know if you want more.” I whisper to Mathew. 

“Oh umm yes please. Your cooking is very good. Best I’ve ever had.“ He smiles at my mom. 

My mom understood him enough and she laughed. I told my aunt what he said and she laughed too. I went to grab a bag and put forks and napkins in it to take with us. I threw in some sodas as well. My mom hands Mathew another plate with more enchiladas. He takes it from her and she gushes as he smiles down at her. 

“Now I know why Alexis is so pretty. He gets it from his mom.” Mathew teased. 

My cousin smiles and laughs and my mom and aunt sit confused only knowing the word pretty. I started getting hot when I heard him say it and turn around towards them. My mom asked what he said and my cousin told them. As soon as she does they start to laugh. They look like they're in high school and their crush is talking to them. Is that how I look when I talk with him? Or should I say everyone looks. I’ve seen people always like that around him but I never thought I looked like that. 

We walk out with the plates Mathew carrying his own. I take two plates and my cousin takes one. She wanted to give it to Troy so I let her. Once we get in the car we say bye and leave. Logan had moved to the driver's seat to drive so Mathew could eat and not drive there and back. Stephanie sits behind Mathew’s seat, me and Nina in the middle ish and Troy behind Logan who’s driving. We were kinda smushed. My legs were to the Tory's side because I was too tall. Nina had one leg on Stephanie’s side and one in the middle. 

“Just put your legs over mine.” Troy told me. 

I did as he said and the others continued to eat. The place is about an hour and thirty minutes away so it’ll be a while before we get there. Stephine asked Logan if he was sure he didn’t want any. Logan told her no. 

“Just have one bite. You haven’t eaten.” Stephanie told Logan. She started to cut a piece with her fork. 

“Here, just have some of mine.” Mathew told Logan holding his fork to him to grab. Logan grabbed it and ate it.

By now everyone had finished eating. We used the bag I brought as a trash bag. Handing it to Mathew to put by his feet. Since he’s so tall we had Stephanie sit behind him because she’s the shortest. 

“Here just sit on my lap a little so I can move my leg all the way over.” Troy told me. I just looked at him without saying anything. “It wouldn’t be the first time. Hurry up I’m getting a cramp.” 

I did as he said. Mathew was showing Logan what way to go since he had the directions on his phone. He was telling him when to turn. When he did he looked back at me and Troy. Staring then turning back around. I didn’t know if he was getting mad that I was sitting on him. 

Once we got there we paid for parking and headed in. We went on a ride that had little to no line just to get on one. After that we went and bought some drinks. Logan and Stephine shared and the rest of us got our own. The next ride we weren’t so lucky. The line was long. It’s afternoon now and the sun is starting to hit. Mostly when you’re just standing in a line. Me and Nina cover our eyes with our hands from the sun when Mathew notices. 

“Let’s switch sides, I'll cover the sun.” He tells us.

“What a gentleman.” Nina teased him.

We move and he turns his back to the sun covering for us. He smiles at us. I smile back at him just looking into his beautiful eyes. We start getting towards the front so the line starts to zig zag. What felt like hours was about 50 minutes we had been in line. Nina teases Mathew a bit while we wait in line. She always has a playful flirty personality. 

“Do you think they're single?” I heard a voice say.

“Yeah. I think there are two couples and the two hot guys are alone.” The other girl replied. 

They were talking about Troy and Mathew. The problem with the group all being attractive is someone always gets hit on when we go out of it isn’t the girls it’s the guys. When Mathew heard them he smiled at me, almost smirking. I looked at him and rolled my eyes. He tapped my shoe a little to get my attention. He was going to tell me something when it was our turn. For the day Logan and Stephanie were riding together. Matthew and Troy were riding together and Nina and I were riding together. 

Nina and I just talked the whole time about random stuff catching up and some more secret stuff to ourselves. 

We had gotten on 3 more rides when we got hungry. We had all taken an edible while waiting in line for our last ride except for Mathew being the one who was going to drive home. We went to the food court and ate our food. We were waiting in line for our next ride and I had gotten cottonmouth. When I remember I throw my drink bottle away. 

“Fuck.” I blurted. 

“What?” Nina asked.

“I’m thirsty and I threw my drink out.”

“Here.” Mathew handed me his drink. ”Drink from mine.” I thanked him and took a sip. He motioned it to Nina if she wanted some and she took a sip. Her drink was empty now.

After this ride everyone felt sick, probably the food and the edible. So no one wanted to ride another ride. But Mathew wanted to get on one more so I told him I would go with him. The rest went to go sit and get a snack. The line was a 30 minute wait so it wasn’t bad. It was a popular ride but it got lots of people on at the same time.

Mathew kept looking at me smiling, biting his lip, teasing me, and messing around. “Stop.” I told him, smiling. 

“What?” He laughed. 

“Flirting.” 

“Why? No one we know is here.” He gets close now, getting off the railing opposite of me. Puts his hand behind me on the railing. He leaned down and whispered, ”Do you want me to kiss you?” I was shocked, “I’ll do it if you want me too.” He teased me. 

He moved his head back up and I looked behind me. No one would think anything of how close we are because we’re in line. But like anyplace someone is always looking even if you don’t think they are, they could be seeing you. Plus he’s not hard to spot. The line moves forward and he walks right behind me. I could feel him bumping into me. When we stop he doesn’t stop till he’s right on me. He leans down again. 

“It’s your last chance. After this we will be up next.” He told me whispering in my ear. As he does he bits it. I tilt my head at him, tickling me. 

I look to my side. His face is right there. He’s blocking the people behind us and most of the ones to the side but people in front , the side front and the right of us could see. I couldn’t help it and I kiss him. It was a fast kiss. Once I leave his lips he can’t stop smiling. He looked like the happiest guy on earth. I look up and a girl from the group in front looks at us. I just look with a plain serious face. But was panicking inside.She breaks a smile. I smile back. She looks over at Mathew who is just staring at me. 

We get on the ride and Mathew pulls out his phone recording the whole thing. Once we’re done he shows me the video as he posts it. When walking over I bump into the girl from earlier. 

“Is he your boyfriend?” She asked me. I didn’t know if Mathew heard. He was walking right behind me but looking for our friends over people's heads. 

“Ummm kinda.” I didn’t know how to answer her. 

“You're a lucky guy, he's hot.” She told me and left when her friends called her over. 

She had me wondering if we do look like a couple when alone. Would I be able to spot it? I feel like most gay people spot gay relationships or people way better then straight people. I always happens in shows I can tell their gay when my friends are shocked at the end. 

We find our friend and they want to go to one of the haunted houses. It starting to get dark so their open now but don’t really have lines yet. We go to the closest one that is monster/insect themed. We all go to our normal pairs and enter the house. I don’t get scared because I know it’s fake and that it is coming up. But honestly they are dangerous. One time I tripped over a random step bench because it was so dark. Nina being scared clanged to me. I was ok with it because it wasn’t scary. And I knew we weren’t going to be surprised that much being in the middle of Troy and Mathew and being Logan and Stephanie.

After that one we went to another one now having a small line. We talked and joked while we waited. This time the theme of this haunted house was killer/slasher. So we would be saying people in masks, knives, butcher places, and lots and lots and lots of fake blood. Before going in I was okay. But when inside I kinda started to panic. Now me and Nina were both scared. Stephanie too of course but she had Logan. Nina and I only had each other and now we were both scared. Half way through we kinda just stopped and Mathew and Troy kinda just pushed us towards the exit. 

I think I was starting to have a bad trip. They wanted to go to one more before we left. I told them I didn't know, that I was tripping. They convince and we go and wait in line. This time the line was big like the rides. While in line I just start to overthink everything inside and what could happen. The theme was Circus and you know what’s in the circus's lots of clowns!

“I don’t know if I can go.” I tell them. 

“Come on.” Logan replied. “It’s the last one and you would wait alone outside? I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving you like that.”

“I’m just freaking out. I think I’m having a bad trip. Everything is scaring me a lot.” I told them.

“Why don’t you just come with me and Nina goes with Troy so you guys don’t have to be scared?” Mathew suggested. 

We all agree. It was now our group's turn to go in. I’m now in the back with Mathew. We go in and I close my eyes. Mathew is holding my hand as I hug his back, burying my face into it. This is where I messed up since I’m in the back the people can touch me and come up close to me. 

“I got you, don't be scared.” Mathew reassured me.

Once in a little more, they start coming up to me and I squeeze his hand and stomach  harder. “Come in front of me.” He told me. With the hand I’m holding he brings me to the front. I now hug his chest burying my face into it. I hug him, putting my arms around him and he puts one around me, the other moving stuff out of his way because the hanging decor is in his way. 

We’re now almost done. I haven’t moved my face off him. He kisses my head, everyone is too busy being scared to notice. “It’s almost over babe.” He whispers to me. Once we get to the end we have to cross a bridge that has a circle screen all the way around making it look like the ground is moving to trip people out. I feel bad for my friends right now haha. To walk across it high I guess Mathew will be fine. 

As they struggle going slowly we wait at the edge. ”You're going to have to move. I can't walk it with you this close to me.” He whispers to me. 

I don’t let go and keep holding on to him. “Come on, let go, just keep your eyes closed.” I continue just holding him while he tries convincing me. 

“I'm too scared.” I told him. I honestly felt like I was going to die because of how scared I was. 

“Fine.” He signed. “But you have to let go of me so I can pick you up.”
