Michael looks in the mirror, making sure he looks decent. “Alright, so remember when I told you I know a guy?” Dante raises an eyebrow. “Yes, why?” Michaels smiles. “Well, we are going to see them! Mostly to see what kind of mess you got dragged into.” Dante replies, “Mess? What do you mean?” Michael winks at him and says in a sing-songy voice, “You’ll see~” Dante’s stomach turns ‘Oh man, I did not like that. “I feel like I should be concerned.” Michael smiles more. “Don’t be. Now, let us head out.”
Michael brushes off his pants of invisible dust and walks out of his room. ‘Who is this guy, really anyway?’ Dante thinks and follows behind. They leave out the front door, and Michael locks it after Dante steps out. “So how do you know this guy, and how far is he?” Michael looks back at him as they walk out of the apartment complex. “He’s just an old friend of mine. We’ve known each other for ages. Also, just down the road, I’m happy I don’t have to drive there. He actually told me about these apartments.” Dante replies, “Ohh, gotcha.” Dante picks up his speed a bit to catch up. ‘Why is Michael so mysterious about everything? It’s making me nervous.’ After a couple of blocks of walking, we arrive.
“All Saints Funeral Home?” Dante says. “Yeah, this is the place,” Michael replies. We walk inside, and an androgenous person is sitting at the desk. They had long grey hair that was half up in a ponytail. They had at least 6 facial piercings from what Dante could see. As well as a nice all black suit and matching dress shoes.
The person smiles as Dante and Michael walk in. “Michael!” They say and hop over the desk to hug Michael, “It’s been so long, hun! How are you?” Michael smiles and replies, “I am doing okay, ups and downs, but overall good.” They say, “That’s good, that’s good.” The person kisses Michael rather roughly. “I missed ya, you know.” Michael blushes slightly and replies, “I missed you too, Az.” Dante looks away, embarrassed and confused by their relationship. “Are you two dating?” Dante says. Michael smiles, and the man? Woman? Dante wasn’t sure, replies, “Oh heavens no, we are just very close friends.” Dante raises an eyebrow. I didn’t know friends.. well.. ya know.” Dante is red up to his ears. Az chuckles and replies, “Kiss? Is that what you were trying to say, kid?” Dante can’t look either of them in their eyes. “…Yes,” he replies after a second. Az wraps an arm around Dante and pets his head with his free hand. “This kid's cute, Michael. Where’d ya find him?” Dante is looking down at a stain on the wood floor. "I'm 26, not a kid." Michael then replies to Az, “I happened to find him at ‘The Lamb Nightclub’. Speaking of which, let us discuss what Dante and I came here for.” Az sighs, “Straight to the point, huh?." Dante picks up his head after Az lets go of him.
Michael rubs the back of his neck. “I happened to walk into the club an hour before closing to get a drink before the night was over. I didn’t hear any music playing, which was strange, then I saw 18 dead bodies on the floor. Well, 17, I didn’t realize Dante was alive at first. When the sun started rising, Dante woke up, and we left as soon as the police showed up. We ended up having to run back to my apartment, since I did not want to deal with the police.” ‘So that’s what happened from his perspective,’ Dante thought.
Az pauses for a moment to take it in. “So this wasn’t your doing. Hmm..” Dante nearly yells, “Michael’s doing?! What do you mean by that?!” Az replies, “Shh, I’m thinking.” Michael puts a hand on Dante’s shoulder and smiles way too sinisterly. “I wouldn’t worry about it, Dante. Unless you want to be six feet under.” Michael patted his shoulder.
Dante started shaking, ‘Fuck, fuck. I need to get out of here! This guy is fucking insane!’ As soon as Dante went to take a step to leave, he stopped. ‘Damn it, what about the police? I need to stay, don’t I? God damn it.’ Dante thinks as his stomach turns.
While Dante is in internal turmoil, Az speaks, “Well, since you were at the club the night it happened, I’ll have to go to the police station n’ the crime scene to get rid of evidence. Shit, so annoying.” Az sighs. “The police came and dropped off the bodies this morning. I took a look and they all appeared to be suicides.” Michael ponders, “Suicides, huh? That is very strange.” Dante says, “Suicides? That many people and in the middle of a nightclub?” Az replies, “Yeah, I’m suspecting foul play, but I’m not sure from which side.” ‘Side? What is this guy talking about?’ Dante thinks. Az snaps him out of his thoughts, “Come to the back and take a look,” they say. ‘Oh, no.’ Is all Dante can think before they start walking to the back of the funeral home.
