The Demon Realm’s Greatest Spender: Origins

Special Regulation: For You Only

Special Regulation: For You Only

Oct 19, 2025

A few weeks later,
the guild of **Chalice of Emberlight** once again buzzed with whispers—
because their infamous benefactor, **Jexy Bakian**, had returned.

The moment he stepped into the hall,
several members exchanged looks.
Someone muttered, “The gold fountain’s back.”
Another whispered, “Please don’t start another building project…”

Jexy ignored them and walked straight toward the back window.
Construction noises echoed through the air;
magic sigils flickered in the dust.

He frowned. “Why is it taking so long?”

Only two of the eight dormitory buildings were even half-finished.

A nervous craftsman replied,
“Sir, your designs are… um… quite complicated.
The builders keep triple-checking your mana circuits before carving.
They said they’ve never seen architecture like this before.”

Jexy blinked.
“Complicated? I didn’t even add the auto-climate system yet…”
He sighed. “Forget it. As long as they finish, it’s fine.”

Then he turned to leave—ready for his next round of “recreation.”

But before he could make it to the door,
a familiar, dangerous voice echoed from above.

“JEX—Y—!”

The entire guild froze.
Every member instantly pretended to be busy.
No one dared move.

Jexy slowly looked up.
At the second-floor railing stood **Lyssara Veinflare**,
arms crossed, eyes blazing.

Her expression clearly said:
**Get. In. Here.**

A few minutes later,
he was sitting in her office,
wearing the face of a man awaiting judgment.

Lyssara began immediately, her tone sharp as a blade.
“You vanish for weeks without a word!
No notice, no message, no explanation!
Do you even realize how many things pile up while you’re gone?”

Jexy blinked. “Wait…
are you saying I need to file a *leave request* now?”

The question caught her off guard.
For a second, she froze.
Come to think of it—
she’d never actually required members to report where they went.

But since the words were already out,
she straightened her back and doubled down.
“Yes. It’s a new rule.”

Jexy raised an eyebrow. “A new rule?”

“That’s right,” she said, regaining confidence.
“From now on, whenever you leave,
you’ll report where you’re going, what you’re doing, and how long you’ll be gone.
And when you come back, you’ll debrief me.”

Jexy stared at her. “Everyone has to do that?”

“No,” she said without hesitation.
“Just you.”

He groaned. “Just me?
Is this discrimination or VIP treatment?”

Lyssara replied without missing a beat,
“It’s practical management.
Your building projects are extremely complex.
Sometimes the construction teams get stuck on your designs,
and we need you to clarify details.
If you vanish without warning, progress halts.
So yes, you’ll report before leaving—so we know when to drag you back.”

Jexy sat there in silence,
watching her deliver this speech with absolute conviction.
Inside, he couldn’t help thinking:

**She actually managed to turn ‘babysitting me’ into an official policy.**

Lyssara mistook his silence for submission,
and her lips curved upward in satisfaction.
*Heh. Brilliant, Veinflare. Absolutely brilliant.*

Meanwhile, Jexy exhaled through his nose,
leaned back in the chair,
and thought gloomily:
**She’s learning too fast. This is bad.**

Jexy Bakian should have been the next great Demon Lord.
Instead, he became the biggest disappointment in the entire Demon Realm.

Born with infinite mana and permanent no-chant casting—abilities every magician dreams of—Jexy could have conquered nations.
But after realizing his grandfather is the infamous “Soul of Ruin,” a literal world-ending demon, Jexy decides there’s only one logical solution:

Don’t work. Don’t fight. Don’t care.

Now branded as the Spoiled Heir, Jexy spends his days drinking, gambling, dodging political meetings, and driving his family’s advisors insane.
His loyal succubus maid, Freya Monar, keeps trying to make him act “like a proper noble.”
He keeps pretending not to hear her.

Unfortunately, trouble keeps finding him anyway—duels, demon tournaments, overdramatic heroes, and the occasional holy crusade.
And somehow, every time he tries to avoid chaos, he ends up in the center of it.

The Demon Realm calls him a disgrace.
His enemies call him a joke.
But when things get serious, everyone learns the same painful truth—
the laziest man in the underworld is also the most overpowered idiot alive.
