Oliver released Oakgu, her skin returning to its normal color.

“BONG” A large bell rang. It shook the ground. Oliver turned to the sound and saw Gurak was the one sounding the bell.

Oliver heard the sound of many orcs coming towards him. The battle ground quickly filled. Orcs of various sizes surrounded Oliver.

“Listen up!” Gurak shouted. “This is the person who defeated our war chief! By the laws of our people he now bears the title of War Chief along with its responsibilities of participating in battle with us!” Oliver heard various murmurs and felt many side-long glances. He expected this but it still stung a bit. “Introduce yourself, war chief!”

“I am Oliver of the Orange Hand. Son of Thralla and Uss'tuss!” Oliver proclaimed.

“Orange Hand?”

“Thralla, our past war chief?”

“He does carry himself like she did.”

“Is this why Thralla vanished?”

“Uss’tuss? The supreme one?”

BOOOOOOOOOM!

The war horn blared.

“Oliver, are you ready for your first combat against the nagas?” Gurak asked. Oliver gave a confident nod. Gurak smiled, he couldn’t wait to see the new war chief in action. The orcs quickly mobilized outside to meet the army of nagas. The battlefield looked evenly matched for the time being.

“No one strikes until I strike first!” Oliver commanded. The murmurs ceased. The orcs started to see their new war chief in a different light.

“You aren’t Oakgu. Tell me. What is your name?” The supreme one said. He had matched Luna’s description perfectly.

“I am Oliver of the Orange Hand. Son of Thralla and Uss'tuss! You must be Vava the supreme one.” Oliver said confidently

“Uss’tuss. Now that is a name I haven’t heard in about 20 years. I had no idea he bore children. Although I do see some of his ingenuity in you. I remember teaching him it is always best to know your enemy beforehand.” Vava smiled, he looked proud? Oliver felt confused.

“You speak of my father as if you know him well. What was the nature of your relationship?” Oliver asked.

Vava guffawed “You even speak like him. Ever the diplomat. I am his father. I remember he talked of a union between our two races However forgive me boy you are not what I expected. I suppose you are going to talk about uniting us two races like he did?”

“I will! Because of your stubbornness he is no longer with us. The threat is not us.” Oliver motioned towards the orcs. “The threat is not them.” Oliver motioned to the Nagas. “The threat is the dragon and her dreaded vampire army. My father sacrificed himself to protect his clan and I will do the same. There will be no more bloodshed between us! Lay down your arms.” Oliver commanded. His people did as instructed.

“It’s unfortunate that your father did not get to see the man you have become. In his honor I will do as you wish. Lower your arms!” Vava instructed the nagas. The nagas lowered their weapons. “I do feel I may be too old to fight this fight and I have noticed the dragon spreading her territory as she pleases. I say for the time being we unite and trade our knowledge, resources and techniques. I pass on the title of supreme one to you. You shall unite our people for you represent the best of both of us. You shall be the first Supreme War Chief!” The two races let out a unified chant repeating the title over and over.
