Chapter- 6:

Questionable things.

Erilen turns the meat to let the other side cook. He sighs, leaning back while sitting.

“Hahh… that girl….she really has the guts to eat the monsters she killed.“

He shudders, as he stares down at the monster meat and looks away, not wanting to have bad thoughts.

“But I need to eat too so I'll just pretend it's chicken… yup. It's just chicken… just chicken…” He takes a deep breath to calm down.

He flips the meat again, the smell of the meat being burned spreads outside of the cave. A certain beastswoman tiger with pink hair perks up. Smelling the monster meat.

Erilen yawns, looking up at the sky, it's evening.

“Evening already? Time sure does flow faster in this new world. It was morning just 4 hours ago. Where is that crazy girl anyway?“

Erilen flinches, alert. He sees a shadowy figure approaching the cave and eases up, figuring it's Jessica whose back from her hunting.

“Ah, finally you're back! You took forever, y' know-” He pauses.

Erilen freezes for a moment, that's not Jessica. It's a beastswoman! He immediately takes the spear which Jessica made and points it at the beast, trembling.

“G-Get away!“

Erilen's efforts to get the beastswoman remain futile as she gets closer and he backs away to the farthest point of the cave.

“D-D-Dont come any closer!“

He holds up his spear, his hand shaking as the light shows the beastswoman's face. It's a tiger beastwoman with pink hair and pink eyes, and medium brown skin as she grins.

“A human, eh? I thought they were myths but it looks like they aren't!“ The beastswoman says.

Erilen freezes, as he suddenly splutters out.

“You can talk?!?!“

The beastswoman tilts her head, confused. 

“Huh? Yeah I can? You can speak velkanic?“ 

Erilen blinks a few times, what's velkanic? He backs away, still on guard as he holds his spear tightly in his hands.

“What's velkanic. I speak English.“

The beastswoman looks even more confused as she replies.

“But you're speaking velkanic?“

They both look at each other, dumbfounded. The beastswoman shakes her head as she stares down at the monster meat being cooked and drool forms inside her mouth.

“Can I have some of that?“ She asks, expectantly.

Erilen gulps, wondering if she'll eat him instead if he doesn't give her the meat. He nods, staying silent and wary.

The beastswoman smiles as she gulps down the monster meat in one bite, making Erilen flinch. That was quite quick.

“Ahh… that's the stuff! Thanks, human!“ She says, grateful.

Erilen slightly eases his guard as he looks at the beastswoman. Still cautious, but not as much as before.

“No problem…”

Suddenly, Jessica appears, a creepy smile on her face as usual. She walks over, standing near the cave's entrance and tilts her head.

“Who are you? How could a beast just barge into my territory?“

Erilen freezes, this is a beast, Jessica! Were both humans!! And what territory?!??! Erilen is having a panick attack.

The beastswoman grins, as she points to herself. Proud, her tail swishing behind her.

“I'm Argine Tenaser! A tiger if you didn't already notice. Pleasure to meet 'cha!“
