Clive walked away from the crater that was left from their battle, walking toward one of the last headquarters on his list. One of the first generals himself, Kairos.
He had to walk up the path of a mountain to reach his destination; near the peak, something stopped him in his steps: the sound of villagers simply living their lives. He glanced over at the village that was down the mountain... A farmer village? That's what it seemed to be... They were...having fun, it seems... Clive felt envy toward them... They were perfectly human, happy, and without a care in the world. They simply were able to live their life. That's something Clive would have loved to be able to have... But he simply couldn't. Not anymore.
All of a sudden something else caught his eye. A blind child. Running as if he were not even blind. Running as if his disability did not stop him from seeing. This intrigued Clive...just like how his pain intrigued Syndrielle back then...
Clive glanced down at his body, knowing damn well that if he approached the village like this, they would run away. So he chanted a move from Syndrielle's moveset.
Black Matter: Construct
The cells of Clive's body themselves changed places. His clothes changed. His scars changed.
His scars became more purple as his clothes became more comfortable.
He then walked down the mountain and walked up to the village entrance and walked straight toward the child before kneeling down in front of him and placing a hand right onto the top of the blind child's face. The nearby villagers turned around to look at the newcomer; their expressions were confused, but they clearly did not mind the fact a random guy was next to a blind child. Did they not have a survival instinct? Clive thought to himself as he walked away from them, not even saying a word.
One of the villagers walked up to the kid to make sure that Clive did not do something weird to him, but...something was different about the kid now...his pupils were...oh my god...he could see now...was it because of this man?
Clive did not care about their questions; he did not even know himself why he had even given this child his vision back by using his waver to interact with the way the child's brain was using its eyes' information. Was it because he was pitying him, or was it out of curiosity for his own abilities? Clive did not know himself.
Sylvia appeared in the corner of his eyes just like she always did... Clive did not even bother to ask himself if his wife was just a hallucination anymore...just the fact she was there by his side was enough for him. He truly missed her despite what happened... Clive stopped. Despite what happened? What the hell was he thinking... This wasn't even his fault. His sister killed her.
The hallucination was bloody as always... Clive grasped its hand as they walked toward the headquarters of the First General Kairos, "Ruler of Time."
Clive knew this battle would be way more difficult than all his previous ones. As they got closer to the headquarters, the hallucination of his wife seemed to vanish as the sheer aura of Kairos could be felt from afar. Hell, unlike all of the other generals, Clive was actually able to see his aura and—hold on. Clive paused. That aura... He had seen it before...
Out of nowhere an armored guy appeared right in front of him. He was about 6 feet 5 inches tall.
Clive glanced up at him and simply asked him if he was one of Kairos's henchmen, which made the armored man chuckle.
"Kairos doesn't have henchmen," he said softly; he was himself the Ruler of Time.
Clive quickly went to leap backward, but the Ruler of Time rewound his movement to where he did not even leap yet. Why did this power feel so familiar?!
Clive needed to know who the man behind the mask was. He sent an Attraction-powered punch straight at the masked man, who did not even bother to dodge. The mask crumbled and fell off the man's head. Clive froze at the face he saw before him. That was...the guy who had helped him and Sylvia fight Kallius back then...
Was he even truly on their side back then, or was he already working for Catherina...? Wait...no, something else about him is familiar...personally familiar...
"Been a while, 0003..." Kairos said in his usual deep, ominous voice. But the comment that he made shook Clive to his core. How did he know he was a creation...unless... Was he... no, that's impossible... Clive killed everyone in the research lab that night...
No...it truly was him...there was no other aura like him...that was truly 0001, the first creation of the program. The one they put all their efforts in... The one who was let out first but never came back... He was alive?...
Clive knew damn well how this bastard fought. This would truly be a pain in the ass.
As soon as Clive saw Kairos start to chant his Dargelionna, he knew he had to either flee or fight back. The Dargelionna of someone who could control time itself had to be truly terrifying. Clive quickly dashed straight toward Kairos, trying to touch him with his Waver.
Dargelionna: Reversal To the Point of No Return
Anyone who is caught in the Dargelionna will be reverted to a point in time before they are even born.
Clive, at the last second, managed to touch the cape that Kairos was wearing, allowing him to use his Waver to make his Dargelionna not recognize Clive as someone who is caught in the Dargelionna. Kairos smirked at Clive's quick thinking before grabbing onto his neck and throwing him against his barrier. Sure the power of his Dargelionna wouldn't hit. But he was still trapped inside.
Clive caught himself against the barrier, letting out a soft laugh before unleashing his own Dargelionna despite him being trapped in one. Clive felt like experimenting with the rules.
If someone's will was enveloping you, could you still trap them in your will? In other words, could he open his Dargelionna while being in another Dargelionna?
Kairos tilted his head to the side before smirking; he understood immediately what Clive was about to try. Something no one was ever able to do before. A feat only a true god could do.
Dargelionna: Lacrimosa
Those two spoken words rippled through the timeline itself as it shattered a new record in the history of power. Clive managed to trap Kairos into his own barrier as the Statue of Sylvia appeared behind him. Clive had managed the impossible. Once again, he had done a godly feat.
However, his attack didn't land either. It seemed like...Kairos had taken out his own ''self'' outside of the timeline itself. No Dargelionna could pinpoint him. An anomaly. This fight could only be solved by raw strength, it seems.
Clive lifted his hand up to the sky and threw a ball of destruction right through both of their Dargelionnas, shattering them to pieces, which confused Kairos for a moment before he immediately understood what he was doing. He was making it impossible for him to use his time powers to revert him into the past because it would send the ball right back so that Clive could use it against him later on. Clever bastard.
Clive was smirking as he saw Kairos realize his plan, or what he thought it was. Clive quickly lunged again and gripped Kairos by the neck and used his waver again. Not to destabilize him this time, but to copy his power and to cut off the path that his brain took to use said power. Rendering Kairos powerless. Kairos stumbled back, not understanding immediately what had happened. Was this fight already over? But it just started! Looking back at Clive, he froze. Clive did not look the same... A strange aura was around him... Godly but incomplete...
Clive had an eye right on his chest... his body looked corrupted, and his sword had transformed.... Did the fact he was copying powers make him transcend... The man before him was truly now. An Incomplete God. Those bastard scientists actually had done it. They fucking recreated it. That damn god.
And... was that a red gem in the place of the center of the eye? But... only Catherina had a red gem... Holy fuck, he also had some kind of halo too?.
Clive raised one hand and put it onto Kairos's head before even needing to chant it. Erasing him from time and space.
