*Flashback*
In Rabbit Burrow on a snowy day, a young 9-year-old Sabito wearing a big jacket was hopping in the forest alongside a 10-year-old Natsu, sword training with their master Minetaka.
Minetaka had his katana out.
Minetaka swung his katana.
Sabito and Natsu both hopped into the air, clenching their katanas in their hands.
Minetaka hopped into the air.
Sabito and Natsu swung their katanas in unison.
Minetaka blocked them both at full speed.
Sabito and Natsu soon landed.
Minetaka landed on a tree branch.
Minetaka looked down at both young warrior rabbits.
“You’ve both done well,” Minetaka said.
Sabito and Natsu both bowed their heads to show respect for their master.
“Thank you, Master Minetaka,” Sabito and Natsu said in unison.
*Flashback Ended*
Sabito woke up in the room of the Mountaintop Inn.
Sabito got out of bed in a cold sweat.
He had just remembered the dream he had.
It was he and Natsu as kids training with his grandfather, Minetaka, in Rabbit Burrow.
Sabito went into the bathroom to splash water on his face.
In the lobby, Bellatrix looked at Genghis Quack.
“I find it incredible that the new guy was able to pass your test,” Bellatrix said.
“I see something in him that I didn’t see in my past students,” Genghis Quack said.
Bellatrix looked puzzled. “What was it?” she asked.
“The purity,” Genghis Quack said.
“He could’ve been jaded and no one would’ve blamed him, especially after what he’s been through, but he stuck it out and stayed pure instead of falling to the bottom, and I give him my full respect and my best to train him,” Genghis Quack explained.
Ambrose was eating waffles.
“That is incredible, though,” Ambrose said.
“I kinda knew he was a special rabbit, but I didn’t know he was this special,” Ambrose said.
Genghis Quack and Bellatrix nodded.
Sabito came out of the room wearing his purple and black hoodie with the baggy cargo pants with his katana on his back.
Ambrose looked at Sabito. “Yo, Rabbit-bro!” Ambrose said as he ran over and hugged him.
Sabito winced as he tried to escape.
“A-Ambrose, you’re crushing meeee,” Sabito said in distress.
Ambrose blinked and let go of Sabito.
“Oops, sorry,” he said, softly.
“It’s cool,” Sabito said.
Sabito looked over at the stove.
“Is that apple pie?” Sabito asked.
Bellatrix nodded. “Yes, it’s a new receipt,” she said.
“Can I try it?” Sabito asked.
Sabito sat down at the table.
Bellatrix gave him a plate of apple pie.
Sabito grabbed the fork and took a bite.
“Well?” she asked.
Sabito smiled as he took another bite.
“It’s amazing!” Sabito said as he finished the apple pie.
Bellatrix smiled. “I’m glad you think so,” she said.
Ambrose smiled. “Can a girl cook or what? Haha,” Ambrose sat down.
Genghis Quack looked at Sabito.
“Come on, Sabito, we need to go get you fitted for your training clothes,” Genghis Quack said.
“It’s time you learn the way of the Yazi,” Genghis Quack added.
Sabito nodded.
Sabito followed Genghis Quack out of the Inn.
Sabito looked at Genghis Quack.
“Where must we go to get me fitted?” Sabito asked.
“There’s a place here. Just follow me,” Genghis Quack said as he started walking.
Sabito followed behind him.
Genghis Quack looked at Sabito. “You’ll be choosing the colors of your kimono,” he said.
“Really?” Sabito asked.
Genghis Quack nodded. “As a master, I believe in giving my students the full freedom to express themselves more, but I will put my symbol on the back just to show you’re being trained by me,” Genghis Quack explained.
Sabito looked at Genghis Quack. “I understand,” he said.
The duo soon stopped outside a brick building called Sal’s Clothing Emporium.
“Who’s Sal?” Sabito asked.
Genghis Quack opened the door. “You’ll see,” he said.
Sabito entered the store first, followed by Genghis Quack.
Sabito looked around at all of the clothes.
“Wow!” Sabito said in excitement as a female bear wearing glasses and a plaid shirt with sleeves rolled up, jeans, and boots with curly hair.
Genghis Quack looked over at her. “Hello there, Sal,” he said.
Sal looked over at Genghis Quack and walked over to give him a hug.
“Genghis Quack, when did you get back here?” Sal asked in a southern accent.
“Yesterday,” Genghis Quack said.
Sal looked over at Sabito.
“Who’s the rabbit?” Sal asked.
Sabito bowed respectfully. “I’m Sabito Lagomorph,” he said politely.
Genghis Quack chuckled a bit.
“He’s my new student,” Genghis Quack said.
“Oh!” Sal said.
Sal looked up and down at Sabito.
“So I’m guessing you need me to work my magic for the kid?” Sal asked.
Genghis Quack nodded. “Yes,” he said.
Sal looked at Sabito. “What’s the color pattern?” she asked as Sabito thought about it for a moment.
It eventually came to Sabito’s mind.
Sabito looked at Sal. “Purple and black,” he said.
Sal nodded. “Okay,” she said.
Sal measured him with the tape.
“Hmm, interesting. I’ll be back,” she said as she walked to the back of the store to begin making Sabito’s kimono.
“Interesting person,” Sabito said.
Genghis Quack nodded.
Out in the forest near the ruins of Rabbit Burrow, Winters landed along with his team of demon hawks.
Winters looked at his group. “Start searching around,” he said.
Celestina glanced over at Winters.
“Why are we here? You should know that he wouldn’t stay here knowing we’ve attacked her,” Celestina pointed out.
“I know, but what we find here could help us in tracking him down,” Winters said.
“What the heck do you think we are, dogs?” Celestina asked.
Winters sighed. “Why did Lord Mangus make me bring you?” he asked.
“Because maybe he knew you couldn’t be trusted to handle the simple task,” Celestina said.
Winters glared.
“Winters! Celestina!” one of the demon hawks called out.
Winters and Celestina glanced over at the demon hawk who called them.
“What is it?” Winters asked.
“We think the rabbit went North,” the demon hawk said.
Celestina flew up. “I’ll go to another area of the forest and signal you to follow me when I get something,” Celestina said.
Winters nodded. “Okay,” he said.
Celestina flew further north.
She made it to a tree deeper in the forest.
Celestina looked ahead, and her eyes widened.
“KEEEEEEEARRRR!” Celestina signaled Winters and the other demon hawks.
“Celestina is signaling us. Let’s go,” Winters said as he flew over to her location with the other demon hawks.
Celestina glanced over at Winters and the other demon hawks.
“You found a location?” Winters asked.
“I sense something near,” Celestina said.
“Hmm, that’s got to be him,” Winters said.
Winters looked at Celestina and the other demon hawks. “Let’s get going,” he said.
Celestina stopped him. “Winters, Lord Magnus told us to find his location and then report back to him,” Celestina said.
“Well, I wanna check and see if that’s true, if he’s there or not,” Winters said as he flew off with the other demon hawks.
Celestina sighed. “I can’t see this ending well,” she said as she followed Winters.
Back in the town, Sabito was looking at the clothes inside the store as Sal walked out with the kimono.
Genghis Quack tapped Sabito on the shoulder.
Sabito glanced over at Sal.
“Here’s your outfit,” Sal said.
Sabito took it.
“Thank you,” he said.
“Try it on,” Genghis Quack said.
Sabito looked at Sal. “Do you have a changing room?” he asked.
Sal nodded. “Down the hall there,” she said.
Sabito went to the changing room.
Sal and Genghis Quack waited.
A moment later, Sabito walked out of the changing room wearing the purple and black kimono with his sword on his back.
Genghis Quack smirked. “He’s ready to learn the way of the yazi,” Genghis Quack said as Sabito looked at both Genghis Quack and Sal.
“This is pretty cool,” Sabito said as he looked at himself in the mirror.
