Sabito looked over at Genghis Quack. “What happened to you?” he asked.

        Genghis Quack touched his face and saw a bit of blood.

        “I fought the demon hawks,” he said.

         Sabito jumped up and grabbed his katana. “Where?” he asked.

       “Don’t bother, I ran them off, but not without taking out one of them,” Genghis Quack said.

       “I almost took out the one known as Winters, but his comrade came to his aid,” Genghis Quack said. 

       “You must be crazy strong, but I do plan to defeat them and their leader for everything they’ve done,” Sabito said.

       Genghis Quack nodded. “I understand,” he said.

      “I’ll help you get strong and I’ll join you in the battle as well,” Genghis Quack added.

      Sabito looked at Genghis Quack. “Really?” Sabito asked.  

       Genghis Quack nodded.

      “I believe when a warrior gains a master it’s his master’s duty to join the warrior in battle especially when he’s outnumbered. I fight for honor and it’s obvious you do as well or else I wouldn’t be training you,” Genghis Quack explained.

      Sabito nodded. “I humbly thank you,” he said.

       “No need,” Genghis Quack said.

        “I will say you having that power caught me off guard a bit not because I didn’t know about it but that it was already active,” Genghis Quack added.

      “The red-looking power?” Sabito asked.

     Genghis Quack nodded. “Yes,” he said.

    “Your grandfather Minetaka Lagomorph told me a bit about the power but I thought it would take years before you opened it and here you are with the power already active,” Genghis Quack explained.

       “Well, this isn’t the first time that the power has been activated,” Sabito said.

      Genghis Quack raised an eyebrow. “When did it first come out?” he asked.

     “I was around nine years old,” Sabito said.

     *Flashback*

      Out on a rainy day in Rabbit Burrow, 9-year-old Sabito and 10-year-old Natsu were running out to the forest.

     Sabito and Natsu were racing each other.

       Sabito and Natsu continued running out to the forest.

       “Sabito! Master Minetake said not to go too far out into the forest,” Natsu called out.

       “Too late! We’re in the forest,” Sabito said.

      “UGH! You are so hard-headed,” Natsu said.

      Sabito laughed. “Then why did you follow me out here then?” he asked.

     “Just to make sure you don’t get into any trouble,” Natsu said.

     “You make it sound like I get into trouble all the time,” Sabito said.

    “That’s because ya do,” Natsu said.

    “Whatever,” Sabito said as he and Natsu continued walking, passing a sign that said: STAY OUT, in all caps.

     The atmosphere of the forest completely changed.

     Sabito looked at Natsu. “This place is strange,” he said.

    Natsu nodded. “Yeah,” she said.

    Natsu drew her katana.

    Sabito quickly reached for his katana as well.

    A shadowy figure kneeled down in the grass.

   “It’s feeding time,” he said.

    He aimed his arrow toward Natsu.

    He launched it.

     Sabito and Natsu’s ears perked up and they both hopped in the air, dodging the arrow.

     The white fur stoat with long hair, wearing a red robin hood-like outfit appeared out from the trees.

       The stoat glanced over at the young rabbits.

      He glared. “Why can’t you rabbits just accept death?” he asked.

      Sabito and Natsu glared. 

     “We’re kids you dork,” Natsu said.

     “I’m no dork, my name is Viggo,” Viggo said.

     “I’m hungry and I found my dinner and that’s you two,” Viggo said.

     Sabito gulped. “Dude! Why do people like you always want to eat us?” Sabito asked.

    “I’m a stoat. We eat your kind all the time,” Viggo said.

     Natsu lunged at Viggo with her katana.

    “NOT THIS TIME!” she shouted.

     Viggo smirked and started dodging Natsu’s attacks.

     Viggo grabbed Natsu by her jacket and threw her on the ground.

     Natsu winced. “GAH!” she screamed in pain.

     Viggo aimed his arrow in her face. “Now just stay still because after I’m done you’ll be sizzling in my frying pan,” Viggo said with a smirk on his face.

      Sabito ran over and tackled Viggo away from Natsu.

      Sabito aimed his katana.

      Viggo smirked. “You don’t have the stones to put that sword in my chest you spineless lagomorph,” Viggo said as he laughed.

      Sabito’s hand started shaking as Natsu glanced over.

     “SABITO!” she shouted as Sabito glanced back over at her.

     Viggo smirked and punched Sabito in the face, knocking him over toward a tree.

     Natsu glared at Viggo. “YOU’LL REGRET THAT! FLAMING RABBIT SPIRALING BLADE!” Natsu shouted as the blade of her katana became engulfed in flames and started to spin like a ceiling fan.

     Viggo quickly reached for his bow and arrow.

     “Nice little rabbit,” Viggo said as he aimed his arrow.

      Viggo had one eye open and launched the arrow, hitting Natsu in the chest, making her whole attack deactivate.

       Sabito’s eyes widened. “NATSU!” Sabito shouted.

      Viggo walked over to Natsu. “Finally some lunch,” he said.

     Sabito’s eyes turned bloodshot red as his blade turned red.

      A burst of red energy surrounded Sabito.

     Viggo glanced over at Sabito.

     “What the?” Viggo looked puzzled.

    Sabito glared at Viggo.

      “Stay away from Natsu you heathen!” Sabito said as he lunged at Viggo.

      Viggo tried to aim his bow and arrow but he wasn’t fast enough.

     Natsu looked on in disbelief.

     Sabito swung his katana.

     Sabito sliced Viggo in half.

     Viggo’s eyes were big as he dissolved into energy.

     Sabito turned around and looked at Natsu. “Are you okay?” he asked.

     Natsu silently nodded her head.

     *Flashback Ended*

      Genghis Quack nodded. “Did Minetaka ever find out about it?” he asked.

     Sabito and Genghis Quack were walking back to the town. 

    “Well, he found out later on that day but he decided to speed up our training,” Sabito explained.

      Genghis Quack looked at Sabito. “Minetaka told me a lot and I didn't know why honestly, but I think I get it now,” he said.

      “With or without the demon hawks I think he would’ve sent you to me because I know a little something about your powers. I don't know much but once this demon hawks stuff is done we figure out more,” Genghis Quack said.

       “You’re not going to teach me how to use the power?” Sabito asked.

     “No, I’ll teach you but we gotta understand and learn about the power and we don't have time especially with those demon hawks searching for you,” Genghis Quack explained.

      “So, it’s best if I train you in the way of the sword and help you deal with this threat,” Genghis Quack said.

      “Then we’ll be able to deal with the power,” Genghis Quack said.

      Sabito nodded as he and Genghis Quack continued walking.

      Over at the big tree, Lord Magnus was standing with his back to the wall.

     Celestina returned with Winters in her arms along with the other demon hawks.

     Lord Magnus turned around.

     “Celestina, what happened?” he asked in a stern voice.

    Celestina glanced up at Lord Magnus.

     “We found the rabbit’s location but there was a major problem,” Celestina said as she sat Winters down.

     The medical team immediately tended to him.

     Lord Magnus flew down to Celestina.

    “What was the major problem?” Lord Magnus asked.

    “We ran into a Yazi Clan member,” Celestina said.

    Lord Magnus glared. “I’m guessing Winters here engaged him in battle?” Lord Magnus asked.

     Celestina nodded as she looked away.

     Lord Magnus flew over to Winters.

      Winters looked over at Lord Magnus. “Look Lord Magnus I could’ve defeated him it was just…,” Winters was interrupted when Lord Magnus punched him off the tree.

      Lord Magnus landed before Winters.

      Winters landed on his back.

      Winters winced in pain.

      Lord Magnus stood over him.

      “L-Lord Magnus,” Winters said.

      “Shut up and accept your fate,” Lord Magnus said as a shadow scythe formed in his hand.

       Winters’s eyes widened.

        “N-NO!” Winters screamed as Lord Magnus sliced Winters in half.

       Lord Magnus looked up and glared. “So the rabbit has a friend who’s a yazi clan member. Well then I will exterminate this problem…MYSELF,” he said.

      Celestina looked in horror.

       Lord Magnus flew back up to the big tree. 

       “Does anyone have a problem?” Lord Magnus asked.

      Celestina and the others gulped and stayed quiet.

      “Good because tomorrow night we will strike and begin the feeding on the rabbit with ichor power but first we will repeat our destruction in that little town you all found him in,” Lord Magnus said with a smirk.

     “We will…BREAK HIM!” Lord Magnus shouted in laughter.
