"We heard that someone died at Rin Fah House, is that true?" Ae finally managed to ask, lowering her eyes with a sense of guilt.

Chattrakul offered a faint, amused smile, his gaze sweeping over the two women with gentle affection. "So, you ladies were frightened?" he suggested kindly.

Ploysuay pressed her lips tightly before bursting out: "Please, just tell us the truth. Even if someone died, knowing the reality will help us protect ourselves."

Chattrakul smiled softly, holding their gaze steady. "There was definitely no death. I can assure you of that," he stated firmly.

Ae and Ploysuay exchanged a look of hesitation. "Then why do the people around here say such things?" Ae asked.

"It must be because of the truth that... two lovers broke up in bitterness," he mused internally. "Their separation ended in bloodshed, but no one died," Chattrakul concluded, his face placid.

"And have those people ever returned here?" Ploysuay asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Chattrakul smiled thinly and shook his head slowly. "They have never returned. You can rest assured."

Ae sighed with immense relief, then glanced at the white concrete house next door, which had just received its occupant. "And the man who just moved in next door... is he a long-time resident or a new tenant?" Ae asked out of curiosity.

Chattrakul looked briefly at the large house before answering the woman. "He is a long-time resident," the old man answered simply.

Ploysuay looked next door, the thought of that man's chilling eyes sending a cold shiver down her spine. "His name is Narajkul. He was here even before I took over managing Rin Fah House. But he hasn't lived in that house for almost ten years now."

"He was gone for almost ten years?" Ploysuay asked, surprised.

Chattrakul nodded, glancing toward the silently closed white concrete house. "But he just moved back in, almost exactly when you ladies came to rent here."

Ae turned back to Chattrakul, inching closer with renewed curiosity. "have you ever met the owner of Rin Fah House?" Ploysuay nodded, wanting to know as well.

Chattrakul shook his head slowly, a faint smile on his lips. "I have never met them. When I accepted this management job, I received payment from their representative."

"Are they even still alive?" Ploysuay asked, needing confirmation that she wasn't sharing her life with the non-living.

Chattrakul paused, smiling faintly before answering: "I couldn't say. I have never asked their representative about their personal affairs."

"Oh," Ploysuay slowly nodded and looked back at Rin Fah House. The gentle breeze was cool and soothing. The soft morning light dappled through the leaves onto the grass, providing a sense of comforting ease.
