CHAOTIC WORLD: The raid of sins

Memories

Memories

Oct 26, 2025

Soul cores, they were the only guaranteed items that could be gotten from spawns , according to their rankings and race, soul cores contained the soul essence of spawns and all that has a soul, aen, regardless of how corrupted a spawn is , it gets cleansed the moment they die.
Yet, all that was in this one was a rock.

Neatly arranging the meat, night moved to the next corpse. The same rock was found in it. It was a bit different, the cracks and edges were similar to it but still different. I placed the two rocks to compare them, and then i felt a slight magnetic pull between them, the moment my grip loosened on one, it slipped out of my hand and joined the other. The rocks joined perfectly, emitting a dark glow as the cracks vanished. The hex's voice echoed
[You have obtained a chronicle]

Night without a bit of doubt said.

"Rune"

Chronicles: [Shadow Key],[Forgotten King's blade],[Shattered heart]

[Shattered heart] : 2/10

The description of the black stone was simple and made no sense. First was that instead of a soul core, he found these black stones, next was it reacting with each other and what made no sense in the least was that there might be eight more pieces of them and it was somehow turned into a chronicle.

The runes vanished without a thought in his mind, he picked up twigs and dried leaves, and cut down some dried wood. After gathered more essentials, he picked up some stones and dried to make some sparks. No matter how much he tried it didn't work at all, he tried one more time and with a very weak spark, warmth bloomed into a flame. He directed it into well placed wood. Soon the fire spread until he didn't need to protect it anymore. He moved on to the next step, with a wary look, he dipped a strip of flesh into the lake. There was no sign of changes to it, only the movement of blood as it slowly turned a bit redish, he was still wary, but proceeded to rinsing and cleaning out the blood. When he finished, he glanced back at the fire, it was doing well, he could feel the cold disappear from that area. He then went on to pick fresh leaves, and then began sharpening twigs. He rinsed the leaves and placed the around the flames. There he placed meat to dry out. He skewered the rest of the meat then placed them above the flame. There was a disgusting nostalgic smell that filled the air as the meat slowly roasted. Night nearly vomited but there was nothing left in his stomach that he could throw up. He walked towards a tree which looked the moat alive, then reshaped the dagger into a chisel and stabbed as deep as he could. He then slipped in an hollow branch into the hole. Water slowly dripped out, he stretched out his hand and tasted it. It tasted weird and had a salty feel. Although it was drinkable, it was definitely disgusting. Soon, the smell of the meat slowly disappeared. Night smeared a few drops of tree sap on the meat. Then let it roast a little.

The meat was ready and night was on the brink of starving to death. With the look of disgust gleaming in his eyes. He bit into a skewer, not expecting anything. His face slowly softened and he looked like he just ate some luxury steak. He bit into it again, wolfing it down. It was a bit tough and hard to chew, but the taste was on another level, he could feel the stickiness of the tress sap. It was on another level. After eating three more, he was finally refilled with energy,he now felt like he was brought back from the brink of death. The hex voice echoed in his ear.
[You have consumed a Twilight ranked beast]
[Your body is greatly strengthened]

Night was a bit surprised since he got stronger by just eating. Well it was a Twilight beast. Well now

"Now its tims to explore".

---
After walking for hours and a feeling nearly devouring me i finally gave up. I thought about it before, but now i was sure, that lake, something no everything about it was strange. I planned to explore this place to find some clues about the task but not only did i not find a singe thing, every path i took brought me back here. To that lake.

With an engulfing feeling in my throat, i willed the blade back into the longsword. Running forward with its weight i swung with all my might at the lake, but nothing happened. I stared at my reflection in the lake. It felt it was mocking me. Releasing he blade from his grip, he sat down. There had to be something in this place or else the trial itself would be meaning less. Right before he looked at the lake, something lunged at him from the forest. Grabbing the blade and position it, he was thrown backward. When he recovered his balance there was nothing there. Was it invincible or...

It lunged at him again, the force this time was weaker but more than enough to kill him. He blocked it and tried to counter attack but it was gone. He was sure then. Its too fast for me.

The spawn attacked again and again, each time its attack nearly killed him. And each time, it was too fast. His body was weakening but there was a difference, if it was the former him, he would already be dead.

Focusing on the current situation

He was desperate for a way out, yet nothing happened. Then, when it felt as if time froze and he saw the spawn, a bit similar to the blackened soul, its claws were about to reach him. And yet,

People say that at your death bed, your memories play before your eyes. Yet his was blank and silent.

An emotion filled his chest, but he didn't know what it was, right then he didn't care. Then, be felt a warm touch, not felt but remembered one. His body moved on his own. A stance he didn't remember but his heart did...

A clean slash painted the air red, the hex's voice echoed silently.
[You have slain a Twilight horror, Blackened heart]

He didn't listen, only the warm tears on his cheek told him he was alive. He whispered beneath his breath.

The world wasn't made chaotic, it was always us.
When the world's judgement came, destruction followed with it. And the being who passed judgement was the hex.
Humans are the most tenacious beings but also the most evil. Without even the judgement there was bound to be destruction. In the end, only the hex's judgement could truly change their fate.
People were ruined, new graves were filled every day. Tears dried up, hope was lost.
Regardless of the human's chaos their wrong doings didn't just bring judgement but the eyes of those watching from beyond.
Only the ruined souls could truly free them from those gazes and the chaos ahead.
