On The Hundr Islands, Thyra was sitting in a room in one of the homes that she and her Hundr warriors built.
Birger knocked on the door. “Lady Thyra, are you okay?” he asked.
Thyra was sitting on the bed still thinking about what they found in Odin Village.
Outside of the room, Gunnar ran over to Birger.
“Birger!” Gunnar called out.
Birger turned away from the door. “What is it, Gunnar?” Birger asked.
“There’s been another report of a mysterious figure in the villages,” Gunnar explained.
“Which village is it this time?” Birger asked.
“Freya Village,” Gunnar said.
“Did you send anyone?” Birger asked.
“Elder Frode wanted to go on his own as that’s the village he’s from,” Gunnar explained.
Birger sighed. “We don’t even know who this is but what we do know is we are always behind when this figure strikes,” Birger explained.
Gunnar looked at the door. “What’s up with Lady Thyra?” Gunnar asked.
“She still won’t come out of the room,” Birger said.
Gunnar folded his arms. “Seeing Odin Village destroyed really brought her down,” Gunnar said.
Birger nodded. “She was supposed to be the one who goes to meet up with Genghis Quack and his new student,” Birger said.
Gunnar looked at Birger. “Well, you could go do it. I’ll stay here and wait for Elder Frode to come back from his mission,” Gunnar explained.
Birger walked out of the room.
Birger stopped at the door and looked back. “Let me know if Lady Thyra comes out of the room,” he said.
Gunnar nodded. “I will,” he said.
Birger left the home.
Out near shore, Sabito woke up in his quarters.
Sabito sat up, holding his head.
“OWW! My head,” Sabito looked around.
Sabito got out of the bed, grabbing his book bag.
He ran out to the front of the ship.
Sabito looked at the water.
“Water…,” Sabito groaned.
Captain Razor looked at Sabito. “Calm down, young rabbit, we are near shore,” he said as Sabito’s eyes sparkled.
“I’m soooo happy to hear that,” Sabito said with funny anime tears running down his face.
Genghis Quack and Captain Razor looked at each other.
“He’s your student,” Captain Razor said.
“Yeah, it’s almost like him slicing Jet in half didn’t happen,” Genghis Quack said.
“I’m guessing this is one of the odd things about the rabbit,” Captain Razor said.
Genghis Quack nodded.
Back on the island, Birger made his way out to the port where he was meeting Genghis Quack and Sabito.
Birger looked into the distance. “Hmm, they should be here any minute now,” Birger thought.
Captain Razor saw the islands of Hundr.
“LAND!” Captain Razor shouted.
Sabito ran over to the edge of the ship.
“LAND! I’m so happy that we are near land,” Sabito said.
“Calm down, carrot-muncher,” Captain Razor said as he got ready to drop the anchor.
Birger looked at the ship.
“Here they are,” Birger said.
Sabito and Genghis Quack got ready to step off the ship. “Thanks a lot, Captain Razor,” Genghis Quack said.
“I’m just glad we dealt with the Jet situation,” Captain Razor said.
Birger looked at Sabito and Genghis Quack.
Birger looked a bit surprised.
“I’m honestly surprised, Genghis Quack,” Birger said.
Genghis Quack walked over.
“Why?” he asked.
“I thought you were joking about having a rabbit for a student,” Birger said.
“I know it’s a stretch but this is the young rabbit who defeated Lord Magnus and took down his demon hawks,” Genghis Quack explained.
“With your help of course,” Sabito said.
Birger looked at Sabito and his eyes widened. “Whoa, this kid has a strong presence,” he thought.
Genghis Quack looked around.
“Where’s Lady Thyra?” Genghis Quack asked.
“It’s a long story. Let’s get back to the village where the others are,” Birger said as Genghis Quack and Sabito followed him.
Sabito looked around at the island.
“Wow, you guys must never go hungry,” Sabito said.
“Hehe, yes, we eat what we grow here when we are not in battle or doing missions. We assist the farmers of this land by helping them grow food. It's far more healthy for us and it helps keep our strength up,” Birger explained.
Sabito’s eyes sparkled.
“Sabito, I bet it makes the boat ride a bit more tolerable now doesn’t it?” Genghis Quack asked.
Birger looked back.
“Oh yeah, how was it dealing with Jet?” Birger asked as they continued walking.
“This kid here defeated him,” Genghis Quack said.
Sabito looked at Genghis Quack because he was trying to remember if that was true and now he got his answer.
Birger looked surprised. “Young rabbit, do you realize what you were able to do?” Birger asked.
Sabito raised an eyebrow. “N-no?” He looked puzzled.
Birger chuckled a bit. “You pulled off the impossible. He's been harassing people in those waters for nearly centuries and you were able to defeat him. I know, your master here is proud of you,” Birger explained.
“That’s right,” Genghis Quack said.
Sabito scratched his ears. “Well, thanks, because all I remember is being seasick,” he said.
Genghis Quack looked at Sabito with an annoyed look on his face. “I know,” he said.
Back in the village, Frode ran over to Gunnar.
“Gunnar!” Frode called out.
Gunnar walked outside. “What is it, Elder Frode?” he asked.
“That strong presence was sensed again when I was in Freya Village,” Frode said.
“Were there any survivors?” Gunnar asked.
Frode looked away. “No, only one person lived but that was only for a short time before he lost too much blood and dissolved,” Frode explained.
Gunnar gritted his teeth. “BLAST IT!” he shouted in anger.
“But I did see the wound the man had,” Frode said.
“What kind of wound was it?” Gunnar asked.
“He had slash marks on his chest,” Frode said.
“Slash marks huh? Well, that gives us absolutely nothing,” Gunnar said.
“These slash marks are different because the man’s blood wasn’t even red,” Frode added.
Gunnar looked at Frode.
“Are you serious?” Gunnar asked.
“I’m serious, the man’s blood was indigo,” Frode said.
Gunnar folded his arms. “Did the man tell you anything?” he asked.
“He said something about the land like there’s something important here. I think he said that a lot of his words were slurring because he was running out of breath,” Frode explained.
Gunnar looked back at the home. “I just hope Lady Thyra can pull her out of this funk because while dealing with this we need to help Genghis Quack with his student,” Gunnar explained.
Frode looked around. “Where is Birger?” he asked.
“I’m right here, Elder Frode,” Birger said as Sabito and Genghis Quack followed beside him.
Frode looked over at Genghis Quack. “As I live and breathe, Genghis Quack,” Frode said with excitement.
Genghis Quack bowed his head respectfully. “Hello, Master Frode,” he said as Sabito looked surprised.
“Master?” Sabito asked.
“That’s right, I trained here when I was your age,” Genghis Quack said.
“WHOA! This guy must be old!” Sabito said.
Frode glared with his right eye starting to twitch.
“Listen! Ya little carrot-muncher I ain’t THAT OLD!” Frode spazzed, gritting his teeth.
The door to the home opened up.
Everyone looked at the home and saw Lady Thyra standing at the door.
“So, you’ve made it,” Lady Thyra said.
Genghis Quack nodded.
“Good, because we need a favor from you,” Lady Thyra said as Sabito and Genghis Quack looked at each other wondering what the favor might be.
