Ploysuay and Narajkul were suspended in a thick silence, broken only by the loud chirping of crickets and the soft, passing breeze. Slowly, she lifted her eyes to meet his, finding his gaze already fixed upon her, as if he had been waiting for her to look up. His deep, calm eyes held a penetrating intensity that cast a heavy pressure over the surrounding atmosphere.

Ploysuay’s lips trembled slightly. She gathered every ounce of courage she possessed before finally asking, her voice a fragile quiver:

"What... are you doing in this house?" She held his stare, desperate for an answer that would relieve the fear constricting her chest.

The man lowered his gaze to the knife in his hand, his eyes fathomless, as if contemplating something of immense importance.

"Do not confront things you are unsure of in the dark... if unnecessary," Narajkul finally stated in a low, resonant voice, his words laced with a clear warning.

Ploysuay pressed her lips together, her eyes fixed on the knife. Narajkul then raised his eyes back to hers, his look utterly vacant of emotion, as if he were looking through her, to something unseen behind. His cold neutrality made his earlier words sound like a command to be obeyed, not mere advice.

Ploysuay blinked slowly, breathing raggedly. Though terrified to the point of collapse, she found the strength to speak:

"If next time, you or anyone I do not know enters this house without permission, I will have to call the police," Ploysuay declared, attempting to keep her voice steady, yet the tremor was undeniable.

Narajkul stared at her, unwavering, before replying dismissively, "Yes."

His reply was brief and devoid of feeling. He then turned and walked away silently, leaving behind an awkward void. Ploysuay looked up at his broad back until he disappeared, then sank to the floor, all strength draining from her body.

What exactly had happened tonight? Both Narajkul and that other shadowy figure... Everything remained a puzzle she couldn't solve. Confusion mixed with paranoia still consumed her heart. Narajkul walked out of Rin Fah House with firm but quiet steps. Upon reaching the lawn, he slowed his pace slightly before turning back to look at the brightly lit interior of the house.

His gaze, fixed on Ploysuay, was deep and chillingly inscrutable. He then glanced at the sharp knife in his hand, pondering thoughtfully, before looking back at her again.

There was no trace of fear, resentment, or even any feeling at all... only a vast emptiness. It was impossible to tell if he was a savior, or a dangerous shadow. His stoic face was a thick wall, concealing everything before he finally turned and walked calmly away into the enigma of Rin Fah House.
