Prologue – “Babysitting the Main Character”

You ever wonder what it’s like to babysit a ticking time bomb with legs?
Yeah. That’s my job.

Name’s Kai—a voice in Kaiser’s head.
Or maybe I am Kaiser. Depends on which brain cell is active that day.
Long story short: I’m the imaginary friend who somehow ended up managing the daily chaos of a guy who thinks “reckless stupidity” counts as a combat style.

Kaiser is… how do I put this nicely?
A walking disaster.

Oh—right, an introduction of idiot.
Kaiser’s an orphan who decided the best way to escape poverty was to throw hands professionally.
Not smart hands. Not strategic hands.
No, no—this genius jumped straight into MMA with the confidence of a man who forgot he has bones.
He’s the type to watch one online tutorial and declare he’s ready for a championship bout.
And honestly? Sometimes he wins purely because his opponents can’t predict the movements of someone who doesn’t think.

I’ve met pigeons with a better sense of self-preservation.

But then one day, boom—different world.
Magic, monsters, mana—the full fantasy buffet.
And somehow, this guy gets labeled Rank 1( Trust me it's not a badge of honour).
Yeah, don’t ask me how. Divine prank, I guess.

Now I’m stuck making sure he doesn’t die before breakfast.
I hype him up when he’s down, stop him from mouthing off to people who can kill him, and make sure he doesn’t mistake “strategy” for “pure luck.”
Basically, I’m the glue holding this trainwreck together.

But here’s the thing—Kaiser isn’t the only one the story’s following.
Somewhere out there, there’s a man with brains, ambition, and a system that practically screams, “I’m cheating and fuck the protagonist.”
He’s not just evil for fun—he believes he’s right.
And when their paths finally cross... well, let’s just say peace won’t be an option.

Oh, and before you start feeling bad for Kaiser—don’t.
Our author’s out for blood.
I swear he’s trying to kill this guy in every other chapter.
So before you learn how we ended up in this mess, buckle up.
Next chapter’s where the chaos really starts
and yeah, it begins with a—

I think this prologue is really cool! It’s not very common to see one like this, at least in my opinion, and I like how it leaves just the right amount of mystery to keep readers hooked. Just so you know, I’m giving you my feedback based on what I personally like, so please don’t take it the wrong way because I’m saying all of this with good intentions. For me, it does feel a bit unusual; I probably wouldn’t structure a prologue this way myself, since it introduces things and characters kind of out of the blue, but that’s totally a personal preference.
The only thing is that it’s a bit hard to connect with the characters yet, since we don’t really know them. Maybe adding a little more could help readers feel something for them. But again, that’s just how I usually write, because I tend to go for a more ominous vibe
Also, I think it fits well with the synopsis, since it seems like the story is going to be told in first person. I never write in first person myself because I’ve always preferred an omniscient narrator, but it works here. And I find it really interesting that the narrator might actually be Kaiser’s alter, that idea caught my attention a lot

I didn’t get the system. I wasn’t chosen. I wasn’t even supposed to be here.

In a world ruled by magic, monsters, and rankings, the arrogant villain was gifted an SSS-tier system. I was thrown in with nothing.

But I won’t break. I won’t kneel.

If this world thinks it can crush me, then I’ll rise on my own terms. With nothing but grit, rage, and stubborn willpower, I’ll carve a path where no system can reach.

This isn’t a hero’s journey. This is the rise of someone who was never meant to survive.
