“There exists four ways in which mana can manifest in a person’s body”.
“The creation of tangible objects made from crystallized mana, the control of the elements or specific compounds, abnormal mutations that happen within one’s body and an extension of oneself using intangible mana”.
“Why do I have to learn something I already know”?
The girl looked at her instructive with a scowl, her blonde hair ran down her back as her blue eyes stared straight into her.
“You’re wasting my time, what’s the point of you even being here”?!
She stood up from her desk as she gritted her teeth.
“Miss Neila, I am trying to teach you here”!
She rolled her eyes as she flipped her instructor off.
“You think I need this!? I hired you to teach me not to feed me useless shit that I already know, damn it”!
Her brows furrowed, her grip on the table broke the edges.
“It has been three days and you’ve been repeating the same thing over and over and over again! Get the fuck out of my face”!
Neila snapped her fingers, as a burst of sound released from her launching the instructor towards the wall.
She turned away walking towards the exit.
A maid stood in front of the glass door as she opened it for her lady.
Neila walked out of the class, her heels clacking against the marble ground.
A servant followed not far from behind her.
{Neila Shaw}
The youngest daughter of the Shaw family, one of the four great families that have a massive influence over the academy, renowned for their family technique that has been passed down over generations to create intangible sound waves.
She strutted along the golden carpet, the hallways echoed from the sound of her heels.
“Go fetch me a drink”.
She waved her hand for her servant like a dog, shooing her away.
“I’ll be in the training grounds”
She mumbled to herself.
“The exam is in an hour, I can’t fail this, I have to meet his expectations”.
She made her way into the estate’s private training halls. The lights adjusted automatically to her presence.
She stood before a row of training dummies, each one modeled perfectly after the human body.
“Activate simulation, put a layer of mana around them”.
Dozens of holographic figures lit up in a bright crimson, she cracked her neck as she stretched her arms.
She snapped her fingers
A shockwave bursted forth, the sonic pulse immediately disintegrated the dummies, only leaving smoking metal skeletons behind.
Her hair blew in the wind.
“Again”.
The red light came once again as the dummies started to regenerate rapidly.
“It’s taking more and more of my mana, I have to make it more efficient”.
She snapped her fingers once more.
A symphony of sound began to circle her finger, with an echo of a snap of her hand, the small area of sound expanded exponentially.
The ground began to shake as the dummies began to rattle, it felt as if the entire hall was going to collapse in on itself.
A wave of sound bursted forth, tearing holes through the metal skeletons of the dummies.
The door creaked behind her, as a servant came into the room.
“I have your drink m’am”.
Neila yanked the drink out of his hands as she took a single from the yellow and thick liquid.
“This tastes like ass”.
Her eyes narrowed as she stared at the servant before her.
“Bend down”.
“Yes m’am”.
The servant reluctantly got on all fours, his head facing towards the marbled floor, the back of his head rapidly cooling down as a bright yellow liquid was poured over his head.
“Does this taste edible to you? This is borderline dog food”.
She bent over as she poured the rest of the cold drink over his head.
“You’re trying to poison me aren’t you”?
She gripped onto the glass cup, cracks appeared throughout its surface as her eyes widened.
She smashed the glass over his head as blood ran down his cheek, his eyes twitched as he stared afraid into her cold blue eyes.
“Remake this and call the driver, I’m going to the academy”.
The servant clutched his bleeding head as he dashed out of the room.
“Useless piece of shit, can’t even make a simple drink”.
She stormed out of the hall, her mana dissipating as soon as it touched the air. The halls grew ever colder with her presence.
The elevator doors automatically opened up for her, as she stepped into the steel chamber.
Dozens of her reflections appeared on the elevator walls.
She clutched the side of her arms and clamped herself down.
Her breathing was steady, too steady.
After a while, the doors slid open as a large wind blew in her face.
Neila hopped in the helicopter, the driver bowed his head.
She sat without a word, her legs crossed and her arms folded.
“Drive quickly”.
“Yes, m’am”.
30 minutes before the entrance exam.
The wind stirred the trees and rustled the grass, below her helicopter stood a crowd of witches.
Neila looked down from her helicopter, her eyes catching a tall woman with long dark blue hair, her crimson red eyes contrasting with Neila’s blue.
“If it isn’t the Walker bitch”.
A scowl appeared across Neila’s face, as she stepped out of her vehicle and stood right next to the woman.
“Lucy Walker, the freak among freaks, your parents gave you away at birth, isn’t that funny? You’re a freak you hear me? Don’t even think of trying to be normal”.
The woman smiled, her crimson red eyes glowed brightly as she chuckled beneath her breath.
“Don’t you have a mana deficiency? For a witch of your family status, that’s straight up pitiful”.
Neila snapped her fingers as a burst of sound dashed towards her, launching her straight through a concrete wall.
Lucy’s body flew like a rag doll, sending rubble and dust into the air.
Smoke rose as Lucy crawled out of the hole through the wall, her arm bent unnaturally as she spat out her own blood.
Her arm started to unnaturally regenerate, each tear in the muscle, bones and fiber started to stitch itself back together.
The crowd of witches began to mutter amongst each other, staring back at the instructors standing in front of the gate.
“Why aren’t they doing anything”?
“It’s like they don’t care”.
“Mongrels”!
Neila yelled out, capturing the attention of everyone in the crowd.
“This isn’t an academy, this is a puppet show and you all are the puppets! You all aren’t on my level, you’re going to get used by them because you’re weak”!
Lucy stood up and ran straight towards Neila, constructs made purely of blood, sharp tendrils that could pierce through even steel dashed towards Neila.
The air stopped.
Neila’s eyes didn’t waver as she stared at the girl in front of her, the constructs closed in. Her heartbeat began to slow down.
“Why don’t you two”.
The man was lean, yet he stopped the two of them with his bare hands.
“Calm down a little”.
He had short blue hair with crimson red eyes that shone brightly.
“Elder brother, what are you doing”?
Lucy stared at him from the side of her eye.
He clapped as a smile spread across his face.
“Let’s not fight here”.
Dominic Walker, the pride and joy of the Walker family. With enough potential to rival even the student council president, even with a weak control over his technique, his ability to manifest pure mana is off the charts, that makes him the undeniable second strongest witch in all of the world.
