[People don’t deserve to die, no matter their sins, especially witches who haven’t done anything]
Family mana techniques are the pride and the only factor that differentiates them from others, if someone from outside learns their techniques, their technique could eventually spread to all of the other witches, completely making their entire family irrelevant.
[I was born with a defect, a bifid tongue which turns the muscle on my tongue into two, just a small change was enough for me to get permanently kicked out of the family, I was never taught the techniques]
She walked through the forest, her head held up high as her piercing red eyes stared through the dense trees.
Her eyes stared at the family emblem adorning her shoulder.
“I can’t believe that they put this stupid emblem on me”.
A golden star on her shoulder that represented the Walkers, a family with the technique of blood manipulation.
The golden name plate on her chest read ‘Lucy Walker’
“Why the hell would they want me back after they just abandoned me”.
Her fingers trembled as she gripped onto the emblem.
“I should’ve ripped it out since the beginning”.
She pulled on the golden badge but couldn’t get herself to rip it off.
“I can’t”.
“I can’t do it”.
The ground started to rumble as the ground beneath her started to crack.
“I have to save them, this amount of mana, it must be elder brother’s mana signature, he’s going to kill all of them”.
She started to run as fast as she could, sweat rapidly poured down her head as her hair flew in the rough winds.
“He’s uncontrollable once he starts going, I have to stop him”!
Lucy sprinted through the forest, her heart beating rapidly, every crack of the branches vibrated throughout her entire body.
The trees around her started to shake from the speed she was running at, all of her mana was concentrated onto her toes, enhancing her speed to a superhuman level.
“I have to”.
“Save them”.
Then she saw it.
An open field, trees with holes in them and Dominic Walker standing in the center of it all.
The air smelled of copper and rot, heavy and humid.
Tall, eyes were unnaturally blue like the sky, his dark blue hair fluttering in the airless space, rings of blood orbited him like the rings of Saturn.
“What are you doing here, Lucy”.
The air started to burn up as the nearby leaves caught aflame.
A burst of fire shot towards Dominic like a tidal wave yet all it took was a thin wall of his own blood to completely halt it.
“David, I’ll deal with you later, stop interrupting me”.
David dashed towards him, tearing through the wall with his sheer force, his flaming fists rapidly approaching Dominic’s face.
His face instantly shielded with a thick layer of red blood.
“I told you that I would deal with you later”.
David’s eyes instantly widened as he turned around and dashed back, putting distance between the two of them.
[He’s fast, abnormally so, I boosted myself with fire and mana, yet he blocked it so easily, he’s the epitome of a monster]
Lucy completely froze as well, her hands were shaking as she stared at his calm demeanor, his blue eyes staring straight through her.
“Lucy, what is it that you want? spit it out”.
“Don’t kill him”.
“I can’t promise you that if I accidentally kill him, he’s getting in the way”.
A pool of crimson surrounded his feet as tendrils of blood shot out from beneath his feet towards David.
“Shit”!
David twisted sideways, leaping over a jagged wave of crimson, another tendril shot towards his face but he managed to narrowly avoid it as it sliced away at his cheek.
He landed on his knee as he grasped at his broken nose from the earlier encounter with Neila.
The air suddenly got heavy.
David immediately turned his body around, a tendril of blood shot straight through him, piercing a wound in the side of his stomach.
“He would’ve shot a hole straight through my intestines if I hadn’t dodged that”.
He gripped the bleeding surface of his stomach as he bit his lips.
Yet he stood firm and unwavering, he tore off a piece of his shirt to patch up the injury and stop himself from bleeding any further.
[I can’t run from him either, he’s just going to chase me down]
David ran straight towards him as fast as his legs could carry him, launching a kick straight towards Dominic.
Before he could even react, Dominic’s fist hit David’s stomach like a bullet, sending him flying straight towards a tree.
Without warning, blood surged upwards like spears, firing straight towards Dominic’s head.
“Are you really going against me”?
He slightly shifted his center of balance as the spear shot through the bark of the tree.
“Yea”.
“Seems like you’re the one trying to kill me”. Dominic shrugged his shoulders.
“That won’t kill you, I already know that”.
Her eyes glowed a vibrant crimson as she stared at his cold blue eyes.
“Your eyes, they always turn blue when you’re ready to kill someone”.
“Is that supposed to surprise me that you managed to figure that out”?
Lucy’s ankle was firmly planted onto the ground as she launched a punch straight towards his face.
Dominic immediately dodged the strike on pure instinct, as he grabbed her arm.
His grip tightened around her wrist, shattering every single bone in her arm.
She didn’t falter, opening her grip and grabbing the back of his head and pulled him into a punch straight towards his face.
Dominic’s nose was bleeding for the first time in a while.
He immediately backed away from her, a pool blood was crackling from underneath his feet, his eyes pulsated with a vibrant blue as he wiped away the blood at his nose.
“You kidding me”?
“Yea, no joke”.
Lucy sent a rapid flurry of sharp blasts of blood straight towards him with a flick of her fingers.
Dominic immediately countered with multiple blasts of blood, immediately overpowering hers.
“Stop getting in my way”.
She couldn’t dodge in time, holes rapidly appeared throughout her body as she smiled with bloody lips.
With another wave of her hands, blood started to refill the wounds, and return her back to normal.
Dominic lunged towards her, tiny spears of blood pierced straight through her at breakneck speeds, as he grabbed for her throat.
She was knocked to the ground and pinned down by Dominic.
Her breathing started to slow down as her eyes widened, she started to struggle staring at his cold blue eyes.
Flaming rocks headed straight towards Dominic, hitting him straight in the head.
“This isn’t very fair, don’t you think”?
David dashed straight towards him, his fingers igniting into a burst of flame.
“Burn”.
Dominic side stepped, holding onto his arm, launching a mana enhanced blow straight to his face.
“Arghh”!
David immediately lashed out, his entire body lighting up in a bright flame reaching out towards Dominic.
“How pitiful”.
Dominic kicked him away, sliding away on the rocky surface.
Crimson red feathers formed in the air, the edges razor sharp and blinding, cutting through his wave and slicing trees clean in half. For a moment, the entire battlefield was crimson red, shining like rubies under the sun set.
Dominic suddenly felt a punch, his spine compressed, his eyes widened, he felt every single bone in his body start to shudder from the power of the strike, throwing him like a rag doll, straight into the dirt.
“Dominic Walker, the oh so powerful second place, I’ll peel off that outer shell”.
Hoshimi Shirogane stood right above him, his eyes narrowed as a smile spread across his face.
[I really don’t want to fight him, but I’ve got my eyes on Lucy Walker, I need her alive]
[Dominic Walker has yet to go all out.]
