I was alone in Valensia's quarters. They were relatively large, and she wanted me to stay there.
She had left for a mission in the village. I found myself in her office for a little reading.
She had a library with many books. It was difficult to choose.
Suddenly, I remembered a discussion with Astur, concerning Valensia's secret notebook.
– No, I'm not going to...--
It was very disrespectful of me, but I was so curious.
Curiosity getting the better of me, I started looking.
I finally found it; it was hidden inside a fake book. I stared at the cover.
"Warrior Queen Val's Personal Plan"
And at the bottom of the page, a "J" with... a heart.
– That's not the J for Janvier, is it?--
On reflection, I didn't want to read its contents. I had another idea in mind.
Valensia entered the office, looking exhausted.
I sat behind her desk, notebook in hand, pretending to read it seriously.
At the sight of the notebook, her expression changed, a mixture of embarrassment and panic.
She charged straight at me.
Instinctively, I extended my palm toward her.
"Stop," I breathed.
She stopped dead in her tracks, frozen.
I stood up and gave her a mischievous smile.
Without understanding why, my magic spell faded, and Valensia slammed into me, pinning me against the wall.
She held my body with one hand and my arm holding the book with the other.
Her face was so close to mine, I could feel her breath...
"What did you read...?" she asked softly.
I smiled.
She took the book from my hands and threw it on the desk behind her.
"I definitely can't leave you alone."
Her face moved closer.
Embarrassed, I half-rebelled:
"Really... is this how you treat a lady?"
She stepped back, smiled, then carried me into her arms.
"Indeed, should I treat you like a princess?" she said playfully.
Carrying me, she headed for the exit.
Discreetly, I used my wind magic to levitate the book, so that it would come with me.
She led me to her room. I hid the book, still using my wind magic, while she gently placed me on the bed.
"I'm coming back soon, don’t leave," she whispered in my ear before heading towards the bathroom attached to the bedroom.
Hastily, I retrieved Valensia's notebook and sat down on the bed, pretending to read.
She came back into the room and saw me.
"YOU!" she protested before jumping on me and snatching the book from my hands.
She was so serious, and so cute. And, I played with her so much.
A burst of laughter escaped me, impossible to contain.
It was the first time in my life I'd laughed like that.
