The Rainy Love Story ( Orginal Version )

Rainy, Photos And Poetry

Rainy, Photos And Poetry

Nov 09, 2025

The evening air was cool and fresh, carrying the faint scent of wet earth after the day’s light drizzle. Hiten and Aarya were sitting cross-legged on the floor in Hiten’s room, scrolling through the photos they had clicked during the mall trip and Diwali celebration. Each picture brought a new wave of laughter. Some were aesthetic, with the golden light of the sunset; some were silly, with exaggerated poses; and some were playful—fake fights, weird faces, and moments they couldn’t stop giggling over.

“Look at this one,” Aarya said, pointing at a photo where Hiten was pretending to balance a shopping bag on his head. “You look so serious here!”

Hiten leaned closer to the phone, squinting. “Seriously? You look way worse. Your hair is all messy, and that face—what were you even doing?”

She laughed, throwing a cushion at him. “Stop making excuses!”

The laughter lingered in the air, mingling with the soft patter of rain against the window. After a moment, Hiten’s eyes twinkled mischievously. “You know what would make these memories even better?”

Aarya tilted her head, curious. “What?”

He gestured toward the window. “A little rain photoshoot. Right here, right now.”

Excited, Aarya grabbed her waterproof phone. They stepped outside, the rain falling gently, soaking their shoes and hair. The water was cool, refreshing, and somehow magical. Hiten clicked pictures of her twirling in the drizzle, her hair sticking slightly to her face, droplets sparkling on her eyelashes. She snapped shots of him, laughing as his hair got wet and his serious expressions turned into exaggerated grimaces.

Some photos were artistic, capturing the rain like a soft curtain around them. Some were goofy—Hiten pretending to dive into puddles, Aarya making faces like she was yelling at him. And some were intimate, with Hiten holding her hands out toward the camera, her laughter frozen mid-frame.

After a while, drenched but happy, they walked to the nearby park and sat on a wet bench. The rain had softened to a gentle drizzle, and the faint city lights reflected on the puddles around them. The air was calm, and a warm silence settled between them.

Hiten took a deep breath, looking at Aarya. “You know… every moment with you feels like poetry,” he said softly.

Aarya smiled, leaning slightly closer. “Then… make a poetry for me, right here.”

Hiten’s lips curved into a teasing smirk. “Right now? In the rain?”

“Yes, right now,” she insisted, her eyes sparkling with mischief and anticipation.

He paused, pretending to think deeply, then recited in a soft, melodic tone:

“Raindrops kiss your hair,
Laughter dances in the air.
Every glance, every smile,
Makes this world worth the while.
In the storm or gentle drizzle,
I’ll hold you, my heart’s sizzle.”

Aarya’s cheeks flushed slightly, the words making her heart skip. “You’re impossible,” she whispered, nudging him gently.

“And you love it,” Hiten replied, leaning closer.

They continued their teasing, laughing, and softly arguing about which photo was better, each word punctuated by raindrops and quiet chuckles. Aarya picked one picture and said, pointing with her finger, “In this one… you look good.”

Hiten glanced at her, then countered with a grin, “No, you look good.”

The playful argument escalated softly, until Hiten leaned in, brushing a wet strand of hair from her face. Before she could react, he pressed his lips gently to hers. Aarya froze, wide-eyed, silent in shock.

Hiten pulled back slightly, a teasing smile on his lips. “I won,” he whispered softly.

Aarya blinked, the warmth of the moment lingering, and then buried her face in her hands, cheeks bright with embarrassment and happiness.

The rain continued to fall around them, but in that small park, it felt like the world had narrowed down to just the two of them. Between laughter, poetry, and stolen kisses, they had created another memory—one they would treasure forever.
