Magic Real Estate Tycoon

Chapter 18

Chapter 18

Nov 10, 2025

Ethan woke with the sunrise and walked to the construction site with a strong sense of mission. The Adventurer Residential Zone had begun shaping the day before, and today the real building would rise. He passed through the plaza first, watching merchants set up morning displays. The fountain splashed softly, its mana purified water shimmering in blue and silver. Adventurers from the apartments waved at him as they ate breakfast near the benches. Everything felt connected now—the housing, the plaza, and soon the adventurer zone.

He reached the lodging hall foundation just as the beastfolk workers arrived. The mage followed behind carrying chalk, mana dust, rune plates, and a stack of carved beams. Ethan gathered them in a small circle to explain the plan.

Today we raise the walls. We shape the rooms. We make the zone a place where adventurers can rest safely without worrying about monsters or unstable buildings. The workers nodded, rolling their shoulders and preparing their tools. The mage placed the first rune plate on the central support pillar. When activated the pillar vibrated with deep mana resonance. The outer beams hummed in response.

They began with the western lodging hall. The workers lifted heavy wooden frames and aligned them along the mana channels. Ethan measured each angle, adjusting supports. These halls needed durability because adventurers came with unpredictable habits. Some returned from quests exhausted and dropped armor on the floor. Some yelled while arguing about loot. Some cast spells indoors accidentally. The halls needed strength above all.

One by one, wall panels rose. Workers hammered them into place with steady rhythm. The mage carved mana lines that glowed bright turquoise, merging into the main trunk line that ran beneath the hall. When activated the interior glowed faint blue. Cool steady mana filled the space making it feel calm.

Ethan walked through the emerging hallway, imagining adventurers coming back from dangerous quests dragging monster loot or carrying wounded teammates. This space needed to feel secure but also welcoming. A place where they could breathe again.

He marked where storage lockers should go. Large reinforced lockers along the back wall, enough space for armor sets, shields, potions, and gear bags. Workers installed thick wooden frames and inserted metal rods, securing them tightly. The mage carved protective runes so the lockers would resist accidental explosions from unstable potions or enchanted gear. When activated the runes glowed dull red like warm embers.

By late morning the first hallway stood complete. Adventurers watching from the nearby hillside clapped their hands in approval. One beastfolk warrior stepped inside and slapped the wall with his palm. The walls did not shake. The support beams did not rattle. He grinned widely and said this hall could survive a dragon sneeze. Ethan laughed, writing the comment into his notes. Good marketing material.

Next they worked on the rooms. Each room needed thick walls, good ventilation, durable flooring, and noise reduction. Adventurers needed quiet after chaotic quests. Workers installed stone panels along the lower half of each room for durability, while the upper half used mana infused wood to stabilize temperature. The mage carved ventilation runes near the ceiling. When activated air flowed smoothly across the room like a soft breeze. Ethan stood in the center feeling the airflow and nodded.

He instructed the workers to add double reinforced floors for rooms where heavier gear might be stored. This included barbarian adventurers or beastfolk hunters who carried massive equipment. The workers grinned because they liked the challenge. They installed extra floor beams and sealed them with mana plates.

Around midday Ethan met with three adventurers who wanted to reserve rooms. He walked them through the layout explaining locker sizes, ventilation strength, room spacing, and hall durability. They were shocked by the practicality. One said he had never stayed anywhere with proper storage. Another said that inns usually smelled like old stew and burning torches. Ethan promised the zone would be clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Construction resumed as workers installed support beams for the second lodging hall. The field buzzed with mana energy and the sound of hammering. Tile piles covered the ground. Wooden beams leaned against each other waiting to be lifted. Adventurers, merchants, and villagers stood watching the new district rise.

Eventually, the workers installed the thick front-facing walls of the first hall, giving it shape and weight. The mage carved a ward above the entrance. The ward glowed solid green when active, meaning the hall had stable mana and protection. Adventurers watching nearby exchanged impressed looks.

In the afternoon, Ethan had the workers test the shock resistance of the building. One beastfolk adventurer volunteered and slammed his shoulder into the wall. The wall held without any vibration. The mage struck a support beam with his staff. It remained perfectly stable. Ethan smiled. Stability confirmed.

As the day ended, two lodging halls stood nearly complete. Mana lights shimmered inside. Lockers lined the walls. Storage spaces waited to be filled. Ethan felt a wave of satisfaction. The zone was taking shape faster than expected because the workers were now skilled in this new building style.

He walked to the balcony of the Magic Apartments to look at the entire district from above. The apartments glowed softly. The shopping plaza bustled with evening customers. And below him, the Adventurer Residential Zone stretched across the northern field glowing with new mana lines like a constellation drawn into the earth.

He whispered quietly to himself Tomorrow we finish the halls. And after that the training yard. When the zone is complete this world will have the first true adventurer community.
