The Mana Venture Capitalist IPO

Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Nov 12, 2025

Ethan spent the next morning walking through Astravars busiest districts searching for talent the same way he scouted founders in Silicon Valley The difference was that instead of apps and prototypes he saw spell trials and rune demonstrations Each corner hosted a hopeful mage showing off miniature storms enchanted ink that copied itself and talking stones that delivered gossip like chat streams The possibilities thrilled him but he knew early stage investing required pattern recognition The great founders had a specific spark something deeper than talent He spotted that spark in an unexpected place A summoner stood in a quiet alley arguing with a large creature made of smoke and claws The creature roared shaking windows while the summoner yelled Stop eating the crates I summoned you to help me not destroy things Ethan approached cautiously The summoner a tall woman with silver streaks in her hair waved frantically at the creature Stop I said stop but the creature continued chewing wooden boxes Ethan watched analyzing the situation He noticed that the summoning circle drawn on the ground was sloppy and missing structural lines The creature was not disobedient it was confused He walked toward the circle picked up a stone and drew a stabilizing line along the edge The creature froze stared at Ethan and sat down like a corrected dog The summoner gasped How did you do that Ethan said You skipped the loop That line tells the summoned entity to follow commands before instincts She blinked You know summoning magic Ethan answered Not exactly I understand systems and that includes why things break The summoner introduced herself I am Mira a freelance summoner or at least I try to be Most of my contracts fail because my creatures never behave Ethan replied They do not behave because your spell structure has no control layer Mira frowned Control layer Ethan nodded Yes in my world we build programs If you do not define behavior the system does whatever it wants Mira stared at him as if he were speaking divine prophecy Then she said slowly If you can fix my spells I will do anything you ask Ethan smiled I might have something better than a job I have an accelerator Mira blinked Accelerator What does it do We take talented mages with big visions and help them turn ideas into services and services into magical companies Mira looked both hopeful and skeptical I have visions but they always collapse Ethan pointed at the smoke creature Your creatures are strong but wild You are trying to build an entire logistics system on top of unstable foundations Mira froze You know about my dream Ethan said I know because it is the same dream of every founder You saw a future where summoned creatures help transport goods across the kingdom right Mira whispered Yes With discipline they could move products faster than wagons cheaper than aerial spells and safer than enchanted beasts Ethan nodded And that is why I want you to join us Mira hesitated Why me Ethan said Because you have the courage to summon something you cannot fully control and that is founder courage Mira took a deep breath What would joining you require Ethan replied Equity vision commitment and a willingness to learn a new structure Mira extended her hand Then I accept Ethan shook her hand sealing the deal As soon as their hands touched a glowing contract rune formed above them recognizing another pact The smoke creature bowed its head as if acknowledging a new order Mira stared wide eyed The realm approves Ethan smiled It approves of potential They walked to the accelerator hall Mira gasped at the size of the building Large stone rooms rune lined ceilings and wide floors perfect for training summoned creatures Lorian met her at the entrance giving a polite nod Mira introduced herself Summoner Mira founder of SummonLogistics then quickly added If the name is acceptable Ethan laughed Names can be improved but the vision is first Lorian asked What is her idea Ethan answered Summoned creatures that transport goods across the kingdom Lorian looked impressed and slightly intimidated This is a much larger idea than mine Ethan said That is the point Accelerators thrive through diversity You build fire courier services She builds logistics together you create an ecosystem Mira smiled nervously I hope I can control my creatures inside this hall Ethan pointed at the carved runes These walls are built for exams of enchanted beasts They can contain far worse Mira then asked What happens now Ethan replied Now you join the program You refine your spells stabilize your summoning circles and develop a repeatable service We will help you test it in the city Mira looked at Lorian and the fire sprite then at Ethan You truly believe I can build something Ethan said I believe magic is potential but founders turn potential into reality Mira felt tears forming but wiped them quickly I will not fail you Ethan said Good founders fail many times but they learn each time That is the only rule you must follow They began training immediately Mira redrew her summoning circle with Ethans guidance He adjusted the geometry creating loops and behavior anchors The next creature she summoned was a smaller smoke hound It appeared confused but not chaotic Ethan gave a command Sit The creature obeyed Mira gasped It listens Ethan smiled Then we have our prototype They continued until dozens of circles lined the floor each representing possible product lines small creatures for letters medium for packages larger for inventory shipments Mira stared at the rows of possibilities I could build a network Ethan nodded You can build an entire industry They returned to the main hall where the fire sprite flew loops in the air and Lorian tested new delivery patterns Mira watched with awe Three founders stood in an abandoned guild hall surrounded by crude tools chalk runes and raw magic Yet Ethan saw what they really were The earliest seeds of an economic revolution AMAX now had two startups the beginning of a portfolio Ethan looked around feeling alive for the first time in years Welcome to the birth of mana innovation he whispered A new world of founders had begun
