Track 02. Don’t need it

Planet Finalia — March 1st

Finalia was a planet bathed in shades of brown and purple, its atmosphere predominantly hot and heavy. The place now served as Ayami’s base. She remained seated on her divan, gazing through the glass walls as if calculating her next move.

She had just received her servants in this new environment and now found herself alone. Her solitude did not last long. Soon, someone knocked on the grand double doors, announcing their presence.

“Lady Ayami. I request permission to enter,” a female voice said.

“Enter. To what do I owe this visit, Rosália?” Ayami greeted her.

Ayami wore an extravagant gown of gold and silver chiffon that shimmered in the light. The neckline emphasized her décolletage, while a scarf detail around her neck lent the ensemble a refined elegance.

The light fabric spread across the seat as she contemplated the planet’s purple haze through the glass walls. The room mirrored her imposing and sophisticated personality: an enormous baroque mirror stretched from floor to ceiling. At the center stood a small table with fresh fruit; opposite it, a luxurious chaise sofa rested atop a fur rug.

Rosália crossed the threshold of the lavish room. She was of medium-short stature but possessed a striking presence. Her long, wavy hair was a vivid shade of purple. Her emerald eyes were framed by long lashes adorned with tiny plume-like ornaments at the tips, giving her an air of mystery.

“I detected the energy of a Potentia core on Earth. I request your permission to investigate,” Rosália said.

“How did you say that?!” Ayami turned sharply toward her, surprised. “Permission granted. Go immediately.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Rosália left the room through a violet-hued portal that formed before her.

Planet Earth

The city’s central square was surrounded by large, high-end buildings—glass facades, marble fronts—clearly one of the most expensive areas in town. There was a park with many trees, where the scent of vegetation lingered in the air. The playground was always full. Benches were occupied by morning students and couples. Nearby, an artificial lake housed turtles, an oddly charming tourist point.

A portal opened within one of the trees, and Rosália stepped through, arriving on Earth. She wore a pink dress that accentuated her figure. Pearl embroidery flowed down the layered skirt, radiating femininity and grace.

She emerged and surveyed the unfamiliar environment. After a careful look around, she asked in a tone of disdain:

“What a… dull place.”

Sayuri’s House

That same day, at lunchtime, Sayuri was working from home. She had prepared and served the meal and called everyone to the table.

Megumi looked elegant, dressed in a modern corset-style tailleur with lace details. Her makeup was impeccable, precise eyeliner and red lipstick completing the look.

The effort suggested she had planned something. Once everyone was seated and served, Megumi decided to speak:

“Girls, I was thinking maybe it’s time for us to integrate into society. So I thought it might be nice to take a walk downtown.”

When she finished, none of the girls reacted—except Naoko, who knew her better and asked bluntly:

“Why don’t you just say you want to go shopping?”

Megumi smiled awkwardly, as if caught.

“Well… yes! But let’s go, right?”

Miyu and Naoko thought going out was a good idea, and Akiko got excited at the possibility of buying new games. Sayuri stayed home due to prior commitments, and Matsui left for her afternoon class.

Downtown

The city center was busy for a Monday. The noise of footsteps, shopping bags rustling, couples lingering on park benches, families strolling. Cutting through the chaotic soundscape echoed the platform heels of a girl hurrying to handle her errands.

“All the bills are paid. Now I just need to buy what Mom asked for.” Yukino mentally organized her tasks so she would not forget anything while running.

Contrasting with the male uniform she had worn that morning, Yukino now wore a deep purple satin dress—short, asymmetrical, layered with draping. She ran in black platform sandals. The black tights removed any trace of romance from the look, revealing her rebellious edge.

Not far away, Megumi and the girls were browsing store windows.

Megumi noticed the girls looking without much interest.

“Don’t be shy! I can spend today,” Megumi announced with a smile.

“Megumi! Where did you get that much money?” Naoko asked, wearing her streetwear jeans outfit, clearly uneasy. “Did you rob a bank or something?”

“It’s a secret!” Megumi giggled.

“But—”

Naoko froze, now even more concerned. She did not know what kind of jobs her friend might have taken to earn that much money in such a short time on this planet.

She had no chance to question further. Megumi turned her back and walked away to avoid the topic.

Akiko, in her lilac jacket and red feather-skirted dress, was completely absorbed in a game store display. Miyu, wearing a green organza dress, observed the movement around them without searching for anything in particular.

Then Miyu spotted a familiar face.

“Hey, Akiko. Isn’t that Yukino?”

“Where? Let’s call her!”

Akiko turned, spotted her at a distance, and shouted:

“YUKINOOOOOO!!”

“Stop making a scene!” Miyu muttered, embarrassed.

The shout was loud enough to catch Yukino’s attention. She stopped running and turned toward them.

Distracted, she did not notice Rosália watching her from afar. The woman had finished drawing her conclusions and called out:

“You! Wait!”

Realizing she was the one being addressed, Yukino turned.

“What are you? Tell me. Now,” Rosália demanded.

Yukino did not understand what the woman was implying.

“Reveal yourself! What is your Potentia?” Rosália pressed, more aggressively—but before she could continue, a wall of water suddenly formed between them.

The abrupt display startled Rosália. Yukino stood frozen, staring at the strange mass of water that held steady before her.

“RUN, NOW!” Naoko shouted from behind.

Naoko’s arms were enveloped in what looked like water gloves that extended outward, forming the phenomenon before them.

Yukino did not know either of them. She did not know if this was a trap. She hesitated, unsure what to do.

Rosália locked eyes with Naoko and decided her next move. Sparks began forming in her hands, crackling louder as they grew in size and shape.

“Electricity?” Naoko thought, startled by the nature of Rosália’s Potentia.

Taking advantage of electricity’s conductivity in water, Rosália launched her attack swiftly. The lightning surged through the water, merging with it. Naoko reacted quickly enough, severing the water stream and cutting off the electric current.

Breathing heavily, lightly injured but relieved, Naoko realized she had acted in time.

Akiko rushed toward her in concern.

“Worry about your friend, not me,” Naoko replied dryly.

The clash of water and lightning drew attention. Civilians gathered, assuming it was some amateur performance with special effects, unaware of the danger.

Megumi quickly noticed the crowd. To prevent accidents, she raised her hand, generating intense beams of warm light strong enough to irritate the eyes of those nearby—revealing herself as a Potentia of Light.

The burning glare reached Rosália’s eyes, making it difficult for her to see.

“Two Potentia? But that energy is different from the girl’s,” she thought, confused by the sudden appearance of these powers.

As she struggled against the light, vines sprouted rapidly around her, forming a dense green wall.

“What is this now?!”

Rosália realized the situation was worsening. Three against one—and she had only clearly identified one of them.

The wall of vines came from Miyu, revealing her Potentia of Plants.

Seeing her friend using her power and spotting Akiko beside her, Yukino felt safe enough to run out of Rosália’s reach.

“AKIKO, WHAT’S GOING ON?! WHO IS THAT WOMAN?” Yukino demanded urgently.

“Girl… I have no idea,” Akiko answered casually.

While they spoke, Rosália, trapped within a cage of leaves, began devising a way to escape without leaving empty-handed.

“Three… three completely different Potentia… I did not expect this…” she thought bitterly.

She began forming another sphere of lightning.

“I will at least capture the girl… I will follow her energy and strike over the plants.”

Naoko, the most attentive, noticed the incoming attack and warned the others.

All eyes turned to Rosália. The electricity she prepared seemed even more dangerous than before.

Yukino sensed the situation worsening. Guided by instinct, she raised her hand toward Rosália. A cold sensation ran through her body—the same strange feeling from that sleepless night on November 12th.

She let herself follow what her body demanded, channeling that cold into her hand. From it formed multiple spikes of ice, launched swiftly, striking the plant wall and nearly grazing Rosália’s neck.

“Water, light, plants, ice… four Potentia together…” Rosália was horrified. “I cannot deal with this.”

Overwhelmed, she decided to retreat. Surrounded by plants, she discreetly opened her portal. In an instant, both she and the plant wall vanished without a trace.

“She disappeared,” Yukino said, staring at the empty space, breathing heavily, confusion clear in her eyes. “What just happened?”

“Girl! We have no idea either, but stay calm—we will figure this out together!” Akiko said, placing her hands on Yukino’s shoulders, trying to steady the situation in her own way.

“How am I supposed to stay calm?” Yukino thought, irritated, still without answers.

Miyu stepped forward.

“Yukino, I think it would be better if you came with us. There is someone who can answer your questions.”

Yukino hesitated, considering.

“Fine. I will just buy what I need first, and then we will go together.”

The girls accompanied her on her errands and then brought her to the house where they lived.

Finalia

The portal reopened in the mist-covered planet, and Rosália emerged with a composed expression, relieved to be safe and back home. The calm quickly gave way to fury.

She flung open Ayami’s chamber doors without asking permission.

“AYAMI, HOW DARE YOU? YOU LIED TO US!” Rosália shouted.

“How dare you enter my chamber and accuse me, Rosália?” Ayami replied coldly.

Ayami disliked such insolence but restrained herself to hear the complaint, maintaining her sovereign composure.

“You called it a reconnaissance mission. You said it was simple—that there were none on that planet. But I barely arrived and was attacked by four at once.”

“Oh, please, Rosália. Do not play innocent. You were clearly warned that Earth possesses weapons,” Ayami answered dismissively.

“I am not talking about those weapons you showed. I was attacked by four different Potentia.”

“WHAT? EXPLAIN YOURSELF. IMMEDIATELY.”

Ayami could not conceal her shock.

Rosália described everything, insisting that it was not what had been agreed upon.

The sovereign ground her teeth, visibly irritated. The only thought in her mind was of the long pink-haired woman who had appeared when she visited Utopia.

“She must be toying with me…”
