Any normal person would call it a nightmare, but at this point, they had become so frequent that they were nothing new to me. 

I felt myself jerk as I saw myself falling from the tree I was holding onto for dear life. Sticky liquid running down my head onto me that I was all too familiar with during my days on the run. 

A faint scream echoed in the eery air around me as dark figures emerged. Looming in on me, they kept changing their forms from humans to wolves to something else I couldn't comprehend.

But the only thing that stayed constant was their red eyes that were bloodshot with veins almost popping out as they stared at me with hatred. 

The scream echoed again but it seemed closer this time, making me realise that it was a woman screaming my name out. 

Knowing that this was the end I snarled at them weakly. Even if this was where I said goodbye, I wasn't going to go down without a fight. 

But something changed this time. Just as the screams closed in, a pair of familiar blue eyes that glimmered like crystals came into sight. 

And for some reason, I didn't worry about the impending doom that was waiting for me as I stared into them. 

Suddenly the earth below me gave away as everything dissolved into darkness, making me violently jerk myself out of my not-so-nice slumber.

Taking a deep breath, I rubbed my palms over my eyes and ruffled through my hair with a groan. " Is this ever going to stop? " I found myself asking out loud. 

More fragments of the dream started flooding in and I realised there was something new in them this time. 

Those familiar blue eyes. 

Felix's eyes. 

" Oh great, now he's in my dreams too? " I muttered as I threw my legs out of the bed.

A quick glance at the clock told me it was five in the morning and a look at the window confirmed my suspicions that it would still be dark outside. 

Knowing that there was no way I could fall asleep after all that, I got up reluctantly and stretched before heading down. 

Just as I climbed down the last step I heard the soft click of the main door as it closed in front of me. My eyes shot around the place in a frenzy and as I soon as I realised what happened, I sprinted to the door and opened it hastily. 

The auburn wolf stood there, his tail to me as I heard an unmistakable sigh. 

Pausing for a second, trying to figure out what I wanted to say I asked, " Why? " feeling betrayed and shattered inside. 

The feelings were so strong that it surprised even me as the word left my mouth. 

" I... I couldn't bring myself to say goodbye. " He said truthfully as his head hung low, with his eyes closed in a frown like he was hurting inside too. 

My eyes widened when I realised he was feeling the same way as me. Why were we feeling this? I thought. 

But before I could ask, we heard the first warning.

I felt the entire pack get on their feet as they heard it too. Felix's expressions mirrored mine as he turned to look at me. They were filled with dread. 

" No..no. no. NO. This cannot be happening. " I growled as I shifted and walked up to Felix.
